You can check mining profitability calculators, but home mining has been a losers game since 2012, I seriously doubt you can make profit, it is much cheaper just to buy bitcoin. http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculatorEven mining at an industrial scale is really difficult to turn profit and some well funded companies went out of business. This is not true, I was making good profit up to the end of 2013 on home asic. If instead of buying ASICs you used the money to buy bitcoins would you've ended up with more or less bitcoins? |

Yes, you'll have the same number of BTCs and BTUs, but both combined will worth less than current valuation, check Metcalfe's law.
If a split happens that means BTU has more hashpower than BTC so the weaker chain will be BTC and BTU can attack BTC.
If a split happens the best bet will be dumping coins before it happens...

Hello , i have been experiencing issue with my wallets , i was trying to find some help here , unfortunately 24hours after i registered here and downloaded couple softwares like Bitcoin find and Recovery , my poloniex wallet was cleaned and my all multibit wallets emptied tonight . Something is going on in this forum.
Can you show where you find said software? You shouldn't download and install random programs you find in the Internet, now you know what happens if you do... |

O pagamento era feito em bitcoins, uma moeda virtual usada na internet, depois convertível em dinheiro real. A PJ anunciou, de resto, ter feito no final da semana passada, quando efetuou as detenções dos suspeitos polacos, a primeira apreensão de bitcoins em Portugal, equivalente a 14 mil euros. Foi ainda apreendida uma quantidade de LSD líquido, DMT e 2CB (drogas pouco usadas em Portugal). I don't really don't to read about someone gloating cause they made a few $100 dollars out of day trading Factom. Who gives a fuck. I'm not looking to buy and sell Factom for a 10% gain. I've got over $20,000 USD in Factoids and I'm either losing it all or getting a 100x gain.
I believe your expectations are unrealistic, Factom markets cap had to go to $3,100,000,000 for you to make 100x your current holdings, and with current supply. As time goes by more and more crypto system offer the same abilities, money will be spread and projects will not achieve such high valuations, so, you should adjust your expectations, $100's of dollars per day is pretty great... |

L2 applications like colored coins are dying because of huge fees and transaction delays, utility of bitcoin is decreasing and projects are moving to other chains where they can buil on.
ok you posted the same thing again even after i removed it, so prove your claims. show us these projects that are being used in the real world using altcoins. specially with your beloved centralized coin. feel free to make a new topic and show everyone how altcoins are doing it better! Well, CounterParty is pretty much dead and I assume OMNI will follow the same path, any other project that relies on bitcoin blockchain is destined to failure.
