The monthly update: In April we saw more green, very pleasing. The work is done, some Satoshis have been accumulated. I'm out to enjoy a spring walk with my dearest. Enjoy the first of May, WOs! Scary. 3 green months in a row. So far happened only 6 times to have 4 or more months in a row. So guess what statistic propose us for May? before that we had 6 red months in a row for the first time. What does that tell us about statistics?

bitfinex - bitstamp spread increased to $330 and it's still climbing
USDTUSD is also increasing on bitfinex.
bitfinex bitcoin: 5525 bitfinex tether: 1.0352
can someone try to explain this? Should not the tether price dump with all this tether fud?
something weird is going on, I smell dynamite. bitcoin will bart up soon.

|
|
what does this mean. new tether created or moved?

Altcoins are droping even more than bitcoin and bitcoin dominance is rising. In my unprofessional opinion we will see money flowing back to bitcoin soon. The rocket is just fueling up.

Yes I've put the JJG bot into read-only mode for the past few days. Spring is here and he starts to feel a stirring in his algos, a yearning for fellow bots of the female variety. It's a dangerous time for him as well as frankly for us; we do not want these things to proliferate. Look what happened last year; I let the experiment run a bit and we were left with the cryotourist bot, the slammielayer bot, the kingnocoiner bot; all hideous aberrations with their views and dodgy deals and fake interests in shitcoins and counterarguments and whatnot.
Maybe he's a bit emotional and took the shut the fuck up JJG Wednesday a bit too to heart. (Or at least his internet persona did) I doubt he's upset about anything, dude has thick skin and refused to take anything personally. I admire that, (I think). I'm hoping his absence isn't health related. He had sort of mentioned health complications in a recent post. Possibly heart related? He'd ghosted for about a week near Christmas but it had different circumstances, some of which earned him the time out. JJG Last active: Today at 06:30:41 Maybe he's on vacation, but he connects to the forum. so he is stalking us silently

Why is Greenland not green on that map? It belongs to Denmark, danish monetary rules apply. because it's covered with ice and penguins use fish in trade

100 million is a bit annoying to keep track of. It doesn’t fit nicely into thousand / million / billion schema.
I would have much preferred a million sats or a billion sats.
If someone asked me how much 4,300 sats is worth in USD, I couldn’t give a quick answer off the top of my head.
When we reach 1BTC = $ 1,000,000 If necessary, they will change the code and add more divisions. I think lightning does already support msat (millisatoshi)

There are at least 2 ways to prove that he is Satoshi: Satoshi Nakamoto <satoshin@gmx.com>He should have access to email Satoshi. Satoshi Nakamoto in bitcointalk.orgLog in to your bitcointalk.org account And leave a message: " Hello, this is Craig Wright and I am Satoshi Nakamoto!" If this is done, there will be, almost, no doubt that Satoshi is him! Let the judge accept this information! Get with the times, youngling. The gmx email address was compromised years ago and put up for sale. The bitcointalk database has been compromised multiple times and satoshi's account has been long shut down. Even if he signed from one of the known blocks all it would prove is that he controlled those private keys at that moment of signing, though of course it would be much more compelling than anything else. No one can prove they're Satoshi without a shred of doubt. It's too late now. Did anyone ever try and figure out from the logs what IP address he was connecting from? indeed there was one connectivity w/o Tor the time Hal Finney and Satoshi Nakamoto worked together on the Bitcoin client. Satoshi Nakamoto IPhttp://www.plotip.com/domain/h-68-164-57-219.lsanca54.dynamic.covad.netHOST DETAILS: H-68-164-57-219.LSANCA54.DYNAMIC.COVAD.NET IP Address: 68.164.57.219 IP Block: 68.164.57.128 – 68.164.57.255 Reverse DNS: h-68-164-57-219.lsan.ca.dynamic.megapath.net Host: Covad Communications. Van Nuys, CA, USA Location: Van Nuys, CA, USAThis is not a TOR exit node which implies that this is the IP address used by Satoshi on 2009-01-10 and he was in Van Nuys on this day. very interesting is that a young lady which is connected somehow with Dave Kleiman and CSW lives near this location. it says that this IP was not a TOR exit node but maybe there was an IRC relay running on this IP.

I usually don't post any bearish indicator in this thread because that makes most of you unhappy but... this *still* looks like a very clear rising wedge with decreasing volume: We might see a nice jump to ~$5500 before falling back to ~$4700.
you are right, I don't like bearish indicators. This wedge deserves a wedgy for not being bullish.

You want a magnet-proof wallet? Oops. I'm showing my age again. hollorith(sP?) code storage. gotta run Punch cards would be good for storing a private key, so long as they don't flutter off into the wind and get mixed together out of order. Or if you lose one. Probably better off just writing it down on a piece of paper... Well hey, if they ran the HAL-9000 off those things, maybe they could run a decentralized network. Maybe not. there is a steel punch plate for private keys https://www.blockplate.com/
