481  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Restaurants accepting bitcoin! on: January 01, 2018, 02:34:07 AM
I'm just curious on how many people have done it on that restaurant. Maybe they just got very excited and tried it because it's very ridiculous to pay for a single order when your fees is bigger than it.
482  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Watch out for the scams out there on: January 01, 2018, 02:16:24 AM
Look out for the people who arent willing to do escrow. Their will be guys coming on here promising you any gift card but you first must send them money. First sign is low posting number. There is a lot of signs showing someone may be a scam.

I've encountered many ways to attempt to scam not just me but many people. Within just a year, I can easily identify if they are going to scam me or not. It's not just on this forum, it can be anywhere. It can be online or outside the real world too.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: December 31, 2017, 03:35:00 AM
Hello!

If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?

It would create a huge impact that will led 90% of people to leave cryptocurrencies certainly. But if were are going to be realistic then it it's just a pure imagination of anti-bitcoiners.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: December 31, 2017, 03:21:47 AM
It is the most expensive and it's the basic coin that you can convert or buy for fiat in many exchanges like in Coinbase. It's the first product of blockchain technology and it always the first coin that they know when it comes to digital currencies.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin will be used in our daily transactions. on: December 31, 2017, 03:05:28 AM
If bitcoin will be used as our daily payment is it possible that schools will be accepting it as payment for tuition fees? And if it will be accepted they need to teach the students the use of bitcoin and give the knowledge to use it and how it works.

It already happened. I've read from articles that a school in US give options for parents to pay either cash or btc for the tuition fee. I can see that it's going to happen in major universities not just in US but in other countries.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I hold BTC 0.05 for future ? on: December 31, 2017, 02:33:52 AM
That's too small for me. I would rather take a risk by investing it into 2-3 altcoins and make it grow. 1BTC is what worth keeping for me but if you don't like that idea then just buy more in this dip.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be cautious with new exchanges on: December 25, 2017, 06:26:32 AM
Getting cautious in everything you do in this crypto market should be a requirement. I do that in everything and I study and hear other experiences first before trying anything like exchanges.
488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: December 25, 2017, 06:12:12 AM
Not sure if this was done already but out of curiosity I went back to calculate a buy and hold strategy using HR's OP which was:

$10k investment:
50% LTC
10% BTS
10% STEEM
10% SYS
10% NXT
5% PIVX
5% NEM

After checking the value of each coin on his post date (May 27th 2017) I then compared it to today's market price in USD. Maths seem to show that if HR bought and held with no re-balancing or change of holdings:

LTC: $59k
BTS: 14k
STEEM: 3.6k
SYS: 7.3k
NXT: 49k
PIVX: 6.5k
NEM: 2.6k

Total: 142k

His current portfolio's (with different holdings and %'s) worth 513k, so HR's made an extra 371k compared to buy and hold. Absolutely amazing. It also shows that if you have no financial knowledge of trading and just picked good alts with fundamentals you still would've made 14x your initial investment within 7 months. Sounds almost too good to be true, have I missed anything here?

1400% in 7 months is definitely amazing. No banks will give you that  Grin
Hehe, honestly if he just hold Bitcoin from the time started this thread (the price of Bitcoin is 2000 dollars in that time), he still can earn profits x10 after same time. However, trade altcoin helped him earn more 400% from that amount, he is really a good trader.

Exactly. He forgot that there is also bitcoin but he gave all his attention of his altcoins. Traders should always allot a good portion of bitcoin because it's still the champ after all.
489  Economy / Economics / Re: Time is money, how you manage your money and time ? on: December 25, 2017, 05:54:36 AM
It is really true. In trading, a wasted time is like a wasted money. Every hour or minute is very important to check if it is now the right time to sell or buy so that is how I manage my time.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance vs Bittrex on: December 25, 2017, 03:14:52 AM
I am more on bittrex on this one. Look at bittrex, it has the volume of the coins. The volume is so high that it makes the coin pump so hard. Besides, in trex there are more whales in here. And in bittrex, their security is so good it will ask you more questions about your account(2FA, email check) to make sure that it is you.

I'm also on bittrex side. It's just the marketing of binance that was very effective and they were able to rise like a giant very quick. I can navigate bittrex easily compared to all of the exchanges and binance.
491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable? on: December 25, 2017, 02:43:16 AM
It certainly isn't easy, but I've found it profitable so far. I just stick to my strategy, don't break from it and only trade strong coins to begin with.

There are no strong coins in my opinion. It's like they just have their own time to shine. They have ups and downs and still volatile so they ain't strong at all. We are still on early stage so competitors are still going to come so maybe they're popular now but someday a better one can possibly bring them down.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin ? which one will be the best to invest in 2018? on: December 24, 2017, 08:20:59 AM
I'm sure bitcoin will resume it's bullish moment in 2018 but it depends on what altcoins are you holding. I have few altcoin where the team behind them are going to surprise us in the first quarter of 2018 and some are even on the start of January.
493  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: December 24, 2017, 07:57:11 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?

If it's about profitable investments, they are the first people to know. They are very organized so when I see billions removed or added to coinmarketcap quickly then they are surely those guys.
494  Economy / Economics / Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ? on: December 24, 2017, 06:33:02 AM
Very controversial I suppose. It creates a lot of heat and arguments between its supporters and not. The common controversy is drug deals and money laundering as always and don't forget the tax problem.
495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 18, 2017, 07:41:07 AM
Yes but I just keep on reminding myself that even those who have a hundreds of btc that bought it earlier have sold all of they have and I made profit so there is nothing to regret at the first place.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: December 18, 2017, 07:28:29 AM
Yes. Japan is already a progressive country but they still accepted bitcoin because they know that they will be out  or loss that progress if they did not do it. Bitcoin will run every government by trust so eventually it will improve them.
497  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 18, 2017, 07:13:07 AM
Saving your money is just basically letting it rot so it's better to invest it. Bitcoins is now the hot investment that will make your money work. It will just continue growing even if you keep it.
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin period of volatility is over? on: December 18, 2017, 06:59:53 AM
I'm looking at Bitcoin charts for the past few days and it looks like a straight flat line. I'm not sure whether to feel happy or sad about this but could this possibly be related to the fact that we now have bitcoin futures? Does this mean bitcoin volatility will be less?

Not everyday is a great day. We are thankful for bitcoin on what it has achieve but it also need to relax a bit because correction is also a good thing which consolidate its value. It will increase soon again.
499  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: December 17, 2017, 08:49:59 AM
It's the first thing that came out. It's very popular and well known by newbies and incoming new investors. A lot of industry and stores accepting and many things to mention but that's all I know.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: December 17, 2017, 08:33:58 AM
Everyone says that yes, bitcoins need to be invested. But probably not all money, diversification is needed.

Diversifying is really an efficient way on growing your btc but this time is not a good time to do that. Altcoins are bleeding so I still bet all in on the king.
