Natürlich Verdopplung, also nicht ganz oder anders gesagt kommt auf den Kurs an und was danach gehandelt wird.
Der Unterschied bei ETH sind die Börsen also diesmal Polo und Bittrex (paar Stunden nachgezogen) die haben nämlich den Fork und die ehemalige Hauptkette weiterbetrieben. Daher haben die ETH Leute nen doppelten Wert wenn sie außerhalb der Börse ihre Coins gelagert haben. (Was die Börsen intern gemacht haben weiß ich nicht, könnten nat. die Coins auch weiter verwenden)
Vor dem Fork haben alle ihre Coins ganz normal. Wenn man aber nach dem Fork auf der "neuen" Kette Transaktionen tätigt wird das nur in der neuen Kette gebucht. Benutzt man aber wieder die alte Kette ab dem Punkt vor dem Fork, also die alte Kette kennt ja nicht die Abzweigung und Buchungen auf der neuen Kette, da sie diese ja verworfen hat, dann gibt es in der alten Kette ja alle ursprünglichen Buchungen noch mit den Coins und die kann man nat. auch verkaufen sofern eine Börse vorhanden ist die das unterstützt.
Du kannst danach zwar nicht direkt zwischen den zwei Versionen/Ketten/Programmen die Coins austauschen aber über den Mittelsmann Börse, geht das. Die haben sogar ein Pair aufgemacht ETH/ETC. Daher auch die sehr großen Volumina, damit konnte man verdoppeln, verdreifachen wenn man gut dabei ist.
Natürlich kann eine Börse allein das noch nicht, jede Kette braucht ja noch ein paar Miner die den Spaß mitmachen und die Ketten am leben halten. Aber warum soll die Börse das nicht selbst tätigen, war doch ein perfektes Geschäft.

Wie mezzo und aswan sagen. Bin dabei. Schön, dass du dir über die Basics Gedanken machst. Ich möchte nur in einer Sache wiedersprechen, es entstehen nicht 2 neue coins. Der alte bleibt der alte. Der abgespaltene ist der neue. Auch wenn 100% Einigung besteht. Jahre Später könnte einer die Blockchain des "Alten" wiederbeleben. , die User durch klau des Namens zu verunsichern und zu verarschen, denn genau das scheint ja einzutreten.

Der Effekt tritt nur dann auf, wenn es keinen Konsens zum Fork gibt. Ansonsten stirbt mit dem Forkcoin der alte Coin und der neue Coin ersetzt diesen vollständig.
Theoretisch sind die Altbestände dann natürlich trotzdem noch da, aber da die alte Chain nicht mehr weitergeführt wird, hat das keine praktische Relevanz. Man macht sowas eigentlich nur bei gravierenden Bugs im System. In diesem Fall hat an der Weiterführung der alten (fehlerhaften) Blockchain keiner mehr ein Interesse. Im Falle von Ethereum hätte es niemals einen Hard-Fork geben dürfen. q.e.d. (quod erat demonstrandum - was nun ja auch praktisch nachgewiesen wurde).
noch eine frage: beim bitcoin besteht da so ein substanzieller fehler also bug? oder ist der grund warum einige einen fork wünschen ein rein wirtschaftlicher ? blocksize hat ja doch eher was mit ertrag, denn mit einem fehler zu tun ? oder ? |

Wann sinkt endlich die Gesamtmarktkapitalisierung von ETH/ETC ?
Der 1 Milliarde-Marketcap ist doch mittlerweile geradezu lächerlich.
Es gibt bis heute keinen einzigen für die breite Bevölkerung nützlichen Smart contract. Die DAO wäre, wenn sie sauber programmiert gewesen wäre, trotzdem ein ökonomischer Reinfall gewesen. Mit Bitshares gibt es bereits seit langem eine DAO und der Entwickler Daniel Larimer hat das Scheitern des ökonomischen Konzepts eingestanden und das Projekt verlassen.
Die Blockchains von ETH/ETC wachsen schneller als die von Bitcoin, mit der Umstellung auf PoS ist ein weiterer Hardfork geplant, der dazu dient, den Premine abzusichern, und der die Chain weiter verfielfachen kann, falls nicht alle einverstanden sind.

ja das ist wohl sehr gut zusammengefasst. es wird wohl noch etwas dauern. wenn sich der staub gelegt hat wird man sehen was überbleibt. der unterschied zum bitshares ist: microsoft, ibm , internet of things and einige banken haben die etherblockchain als grundlage für ihre projekte genommen. mal sehn was das für einen einfluss auf das überleben der coins hat. |

Currently, the Ethereum clients support proof of work consensus. There is a desire to modularize the consensus algorithm in such a way that it will be possible to also use proof of stake (Casper), as well as private chain-specific consensus algorithms, with likely initial targets being PBFT and DPOS (essentially a round robin consensus algorithm). The first step is to determine exactly what the "interface" for a consensus algorithm "class" should look like.
A possible sketch of the interface is as follows:
submitTransaction(tx): submit a transaction to a participating node. The node will attempt to include it in a block, or vote for it, or perform the equivalent operation in the consensus algorithm.
sendMessage(msg, node_id): send a message to another node.
broadcastMessage(msg): broadcast a message.
getMostRecent(conf_level): get the most recent block that satisfies a given confirmation level. In proof of work or DPOS, conf_level would represent the number of confirmations, so it would return the nth last block in the chain; in PBFT confirmation is binary (ie. final confirmation is instant) so it always returns the most recent confirmed block.
Note that public chain consensus also requires an incentivization model, ie. a way to reward consensus participants who perform well and possibly penalize participants who perform badly. We two abstract this by providing two options:
A function finalize that gets automatically called after processing every transaction in a block, which makes modifications to the state and may use the block as input.
A function initialize that gets automatically called before processing every transaction in a block, which makes modifications to the state and may use the block as input.
Note that either finalize or initialize may simply consist of a call to some standard contract with the block header as data; the Ethereum public chain plans to move to such an approach in the long term. In consortium chains, there is no need to use these functions for incentivization; however, they may be useful for other purposes (eg. to automatically run scheduled operations). Hence, because the utility of these operations is not strictly related to consensus incentivization, they should not be viewed as part of the consensus interface; rather, they should be viewed as transaction processing rules.
In a private chain context, there are three consensus algorithms that make the most sense:
Proof of authority - essentially, one client with one particular private key makes all of the blocks
PBFT (or some other traditional byzantine-fault-tolerant consensus algorithm)

Zocken, also Bitcoin oder gar Fiat vermehren ist für mich kein Thema. Ich betrachte Bitcoin trotz allem aber noch als Experiment was auch scheitern kann. Beta. Trotzdem vertraue ich Bitcoin 15 zu 1 mehr als der Sichteinlage bei einer Bank und das spiegeln auch meine persönlichen Assetverteilungen so. Vielleicht sogar extremer, Bitcoin ist halt volatil  Nur falls das Experiment scheitern sollte oder von etwas besserem überholt wird will ich mich damit schon halbwegs auskennen (wo kaufen, wie lagern, was steckt dahinter etc.) und nicht wie der sprichwörtliche Ochs vorm Berg stehen - auf KYC/AML und so weiter warten müssen. Das muss alles stehen. da stimm ich dir zu bei einer bank ist nichts sicher bitcoin im wallet schon besser und für den fall dass alles schief geht silber und gold in der hand |
