Now the bright side to the down price pressure is we are shaking out the weak hands and hopefully will flush out any ETC that is still in "hostile" hands that are using it as a weapon against ETC. The sooner that happens the more stability we will have. It is clear that the ETH insiders have a mountain of ETC and are not afraid to use it to attack. So these weaker prices might flush some of that out of the woodwork. The sooner ETC finds support and a price bottom while everyone is screaming the sky is falling the better. I am seeing a lot of trash talk on Polo Trollbox feeding nonsense about no devs and no future. It is time to make sure that everyone knows that there are devs, there is a future, and there is a plan. So announcements along those lines will help a great deal as we can repeat them in places where there is some impact. Positive note is that with so many running from ETC the diff is falling and profitability is returning to mining. Always a good thing  OK then ....who are the devs? what is the plan? and what is etc future plans? ... As i said earlier, the ETH devs can severe ties from etc in many ways. With so much hatred towards VB & others....why would etc want them anyway? etc current philosophy of copy n paste, with anon leaders wont work imo but pumpy etc is just a couple of days old. see what it has acomplished so far. one should give it some time plus one should see the options this situation has. eth will do pos etc probably not. so let see what gos best ? |

Therefore, because ETC is using the same blockchain up to the fork, it stands to reason that the ETH Foundation has 12 million ETC and it can sell these off on the exchanges to fund the development of Ethereum. Therefore, I would like to thank ETC investors for helping to fund the future development of ETH. I don`t understand how did you figured it out that they have 12 000 000 ETC. Can you show us the address or something? As of this moment Ethereum foundation officially have in their wallet around 1 million ETH. Explain it to us. BTW: everybody with 2 alive brain cells can figure it out that ETC is just a quick profit and maybe in month or two ETC will be crap. It is not serious to talk about this coin in long term. But for now we don`t mind to make some free BTC on the back of stupid people who demand to be shaken. Last time, I researched Ethereum Specs, it came up with this returned google search as: 60 million ETH sold in a crowdfunding sale. 12 million ETH, set aside for Ethereum Foundation. 18 million ETH, set aside for POW stage (current stage). Max coins supply, before POS is 90 million ETH. POS implementation aimed toward 0% inflation. That was way before the fork. Very good indeed! I read the article in full. I never stopped mining ETC...just had some serious questions (partly out of disgust at watching whales manipulate it like Pinocchio, and partly to flush out some folks who were serious about 'guiding' (not dictating) a vision of ETC. Well, Charles wrote eloquently on these points. After reading this thoughtful article, I feel once again this project and platform have real long-term merit, and that I ought to continue my little contribution mining. Thank you for posting! Now it's back to mining and supporting ETC as I always wished to do. Great to have some questions seriously viewed and responded to. Very much appreciated..now, on with the show...on with the fun! At the current price those 12 million ETC are worth $31.50 million.
They can sell these of on the exchanges for next 12 months raising $1 million worth Bitcoin or Dollars each month for the next 12 months, which will pay for huge amount of development work on the post-fork Ethereum network.
Why waste the Ethereum developers time with a hypothetical scenario, which is never going to happen?

Ethereum post-fork, itself will be going over to POS within the next 8 months. This means the last 4-6 months sources of revenue for GPU mining will be reduced by 50%. We have supporters that are women and children too. Unlike ETH we are not all under paid middle class males trying to gamble out salary into a liverble income. Im sure there is some dark coin that will love that talk but this is not it.

es geht anscheinend ein gerücht rum, dass es ein inside job (mitarbeiter) bei BitFinex war. aber alles unter vorbehalt.
nur dumm, dass Bitfinex nicht verraten will wie viel % ihrer Bitcoins das denn waren.... Das werden wir bald wissen, franz2. Meine Vermutung (s. oben) ist weiterhin: die sind nahezu komplett geräumt. Auf Reddit schreiben einfach zu viele, dass "ihre Konten" leer sind. - Aber: Spekulation. wenn bitfinex komplett (> 50%) leer geräumt sind, dürften sie kaum ohne fremde Hilfe wieder auf die Beine kommen. Oder sie machen alle, die etwas verloren haben zu Mitbesitzern von bitfinex und verteilen zukünftig die Gewinne unter allen, die einen Verlust hatten... KA, ob man so etwas machen kann. Was man machen kann ist Eigenkapital verpflichtend für eine Börse je nach Volumen festzulegen. Aus dem Topf werden dann die Geschädigten ausgezahlt. Hätte zur Folge das Börsen an Sicherheit interessiert sind um nicht selbst Geld zu verlieren und das nicht auf Teufel komm raus Volumen erzeugt wird, was nicht irgendwie abgesichert ist.
Jetzt kann man überlegen ob die Quote in Form von Fiat/Gold oder BTC vorhanden sein sollte.

Wenn sich crypto durchsetzt und das dann immer noch so weiter geht, wird die Mehrheit des Kapitals irgendwelchen Hackern gehören die damit die Welt regieren.
Ich glaube spätestens da werden sehr viele Leute einsehen müssen, dass diese radikale unabänderliche Unabänderlichkeit der Blockchain überdacht werden muss...

Ist nicht notwendig. Der Bitcoin ist nicht mehr in der Lage ein vorheriges ATH auch nur zu erreichen. Nicht einmal bis auf den nächsten Fibonacci Level. Auf einen Goxvorfall folgt in der Regel eine mehrjährige Periode, jetzt im Wiederholungsfall könnte die etwas länger ausfallen. Da ist jeder Preis "zu hoch", ganz egal wie hoch der Preis liegt. Was heisst hier in der Regel? Wieviele goxvorfälle mit langem downtrend gab es denn schon ? man kan doch den kurs nicht mit dem goxvorfall verbinden für den kurs gibt eine vielzahl von faktoren . ihr macht es euch wirklich zu einfach den mehrjährigen down ... gox zuzuschreiben. und was ist so schlecht wenns langsamer geht ? ich würd mal sagen ruhe bewahren. mal was anderes gucken nicht nur thread und charts und in ein paar tagen wiederkommen. also ich machs so . |
