1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin become obsolete? on: November 23, 2015, 02:24:26 PM
you have forgotten the option NEVER

I think so. Bitcoin is under active development. It will evolve all the time. Maybe the core client is totally different in 20 year's time, but bitcoin itself is the same.
So the core client might be obsolete, bitcoin will never be.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: November 23, 2015, 02:22:21 PM
The long confirmation time of bitcoin could be a problem if some shops do not accept 0 confirmation transactions. This could be solved by using centralized payment processors or sidechains. The side chain will be available some time next year. This should make the transaction faster.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: November 23, 2015, 02:19:15 PM
I think that bitcoin will have a good future.
Because more people are engaged in bitcoin, more businesses are operating in bitcoin.
So the price itself will the higher that it is now (even though there are lots of pumps)

The usage of bitcoin increases all the time. There are new start-up companies getting venture funding to build the infrastructure for bitcoin.
At the moment, it is difficult to spend bitcoin everywhere. But with the infrastructure surrounding bitcoion becomes universal, the value of bitcoin will increase.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about the negative reputation of the bitcoin currency? on: November 22, 2015, 03:38:51 PM
In response to the recent news about the G7 talking about regulation, I think that in line with the reports of terrorism worldwide, fear-mongering will only add greatly to the negative reputation even more

If the governments regulate the bitcoin and make sure it is not used by terrorist, then it is actually good for the reputation of bitcoin. This means the governments recognize the value of bitcoin. If they allow it to be used in tax payment, it is even better.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best BTC Exchange to Use if in US? on: November 22, 2015, 03:31:35 PM
Gemini is the best. Your fiat is deposited into a insured bank, so it is protected by the FDIC. It is safer than other exchanges. I do not know how much protection you have with your bitcoin.
Gemini is also based in New York, the financial centre of the US.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: November 22, 2015, 03:20:32 PM
I shall not sell my bitcoin directly in an exchange. I will sell my bitcoin by buying goods and services. By doing that, I will increase the circulation of bitcoin and increase its value. This will make my remaining bitcoin more valuable. Adoption is good for the price of bitcoin.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: November 22, 2015, 03:18:16 PM
I am wishing that we stay at the current price for an entire year. The only way that anyone that isn't rich can make a good portfolio of crypto, is if Bitcoin remains cheap. If it starts going up, it will be too hard to get 1 BTC. Right now with hard work and dedication, you can make 1 BTC almost monthly, in the future, the average joes like me will not be able to make 1 BTC a month anymore, this is fatal against the plan of having 2 figures in your BTC wallet (as in xx BTC, or at least 10..)

That is very good thought. Wall Street financial companies are not aware of the potential of bitcoin. So we are lucky to have these low prices. If the pension funds are fully aware of the potential of bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will be in hundreds of thousands. Average Joe will not be able to get hold of one bitcoin.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: November 21, 2015, 08:25:55 PM
I ve started mining Etherum. After a long time, this coin has brought profitability into home GPU mining. 1 solid GPU can bring you 10$ per week and I know people home mining in their basement with up to 50 GPUs.

What is your electricity price? If you pay over $0.25/kWh, you will not make profit on the Ethereum. The difficulty is too high now. It is over 8 TH. The hash rate is at a record of 520 GH/s.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: November 21, 2015, 04:42:47 PM
the addicted gambler may not enjoy losing the money, but i would bet that they sure enjoy the act of gambling itself regardless. theyre addicted to gambling for a reason; they wouldnt be addicted if it wasnt fun now, would they?

Nobody enjoying losing a game.
Those addicted gamblers just want to play the game, regardless of win or loss. They do not think about anything else. Gambling is their life. They cannot control themselves. When they do not have money, they will borrow to gamble.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: November 21, 2015, 01:33:09 PM
I think Litecoin would die in the next few years if there is no innovation at all. The only thing that Litecoin is good for is trading and holding it for long term. In the end, Bitcoin will stay for plenty of years to come. Just my opinion.  Smiley

That is my main concern for litecoin. There is no active development at all. We do not need bitcoin No2. In terms of innovation, lite coin is inferior to Monero, Ethereum and Dash. The user base has shrunk a lot since the introduction of ASIC. I used to mine litecoin, not any more.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: November 21, 2015, 01:28:49 PM
I don't chase my losses but rather just enjoy every single bit I have to gamble. Most of it comes from freerolls that are present in these gambling sites. Never deposited any btc in gambling sites but I still somehow come out as a winner. Smiley

That is good for you. But how can a casino site make a living out of you? Cool.
There are too many on line casinos. Maybe some of them are not designed properly. So some gamblers will always win there.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: November 21, 2015, 01:25:24 PM
If you are luckty and if you play safe. It poker you need to be lucky and smart in the same time.

That is why I like poker.

That is right, in poker you need to be lucky and smart. It is not like pure lucky based games. Most professional gamblers play poker. It requires a lot of skills and take many years to master the winning skills. The professional gamblers win over other ordinary gamblers.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 21, 2015, 01:14:21 PM
Yeah, i know some of my friends that do gambling very professional with high profit everyday.

If you friends can get high profits every day, then they are not playing the dice or pure luck games. It might be black jack or poker. They win against other less professional gamblers.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: November 20, 2015, 07:48:23 AM
I dont know if you can buy all just one crptocoin and pump it like usual then sell it like it just piece of cake here. Lets say that you can buy all of the X coin then you need to attract people to pump it too follow your stream. If not you will lose this thing and you can't get any profit from it

There are these kinds of pump every day for some coins. But the rise is not sustainable, as it is just a pump and dump. There is intrinsic value of the coins. These coins are just for pump and dump, there is no active development of the coin. There are many people fall into victim.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: November 20, 2015, 07:43:29 AM
you can earn millions with gambling if you are extremely lucky though it is nearly impossible to not loose everything you have to do it

From my knowledge, it is only true for some national lottery. You can win millions by input the 6 right numbers in some countries. But most people will lose. The payout ratio for lottery is too low. It attracts people by the chance to win big, but most people are worse off.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 20, 2015, 07:40:10 AM
There are no such things, bot usually do as your setting do, there are not work well or not thing in bot. That is all matter of luck if you can get profit or busted all of your coin

A bot is no more smarter than a human being who set it up. The only difference is that it is programmed. So it is very disciplined, it is not affected emotionally. It will do thing you tell it to do, without changing the course. A human gambler's judgement will be affected by environmental factors.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: November 19, 2015, 12:42:20 AM
It is not wrong in my opinion,
It's just that you loose money when you gamble, so its not good for you in the long run.

I'm not sure about that.  Anybody, he lives to gamble and makes his living gambling
So. I think he can get a profit in the longterm.

You say anybody, I do not think so. Gambling for  living is only suitable for very professional gamblers. For most people, if they are lucky, they can win some time, but lose in most times. This is in the design of each games. The house has an edge. If there is no hose edge, there will be no casinos.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: November 17, 2015, 11:29:40 PM
If gambling was not introduced than life could boring without any twist sometimes i go from zero to hero, gambling is doing good for me something great happening to me.

Gambling is a game of chance. If you win, you could win big, like Euro Millions. Some people like to play lotteries. They think their life can be changed if they win the jackpot. The hope of winning keep raking in money for the casino. The gamblers also have fun from the process.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: November 17, 2015, 11:25:07 PM
It's impossible for any player to win in the end or always win when the house has the edge.

Occasionally someone can walk away at the right time after a big win, but it's very difficult.

The people that are making money consistently through gambling are called grinders...it's possible to do in some games like poker when you're able to read people, not against computers where the odds are fixed.

Check out the movie Rounders, you'll love it.

Greed is one of the factors against the gambler. If the gambler leave the gambling table after big win, then he can keep his winning. But greed keep him there, then the house edge wins eventually. That is the reason there are so many profitable casinos.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: November 17, 2015, 01:03:53 AM
If it drops to 200 dollar. I don't mine I just buy more.

Only in 5 years if I get lucky that will increase.

The electricity cost for some big miners is around $100. If you include the fixed assets depreciation and management cost, the cost is around $200. So when the price is below $200 for some time, many miners will turn off their machine. Of course, many low cost farms will still run the machines. At present, there is no bad news to drive the price to be lower than $200.
