People do not understand consequences in long term that the XT if accepted and implemented. When we are able to process more transactions per second then there would be more chances for price appreciations in short term. ON XT implementation price will go up, you can never expect $200 again. Yes if XT is accepted by bitcoin community mostly by big miners then there are chances for price raise in near future as bitcoin can compete with Visa kind of giants to process more transactions per second. This will lead to bitcoin to massive adoptions across different sectors. The block size in XT rises too fast. Most miners are not prepared for that. |

lol, I JUST went to Cryptsy this morning to announce our coin swap, because we're burning 3 coins held at Cryptsy and I'm doing due diligence to let it be known.
As soon as I said "We want to reduce the number of altcoins on the market, destroying them permanently", the entire chatroom blew up. They said I was taking away people's rights, that I was going to spend the burned coins, that I was cutting Cryptsy's throat, and whatever else they could think of. A moderator also joined in to flame me.
When I say "burned coins can never be pumped and dumped again," and that makes certain people angry, I think I can guess what kind of people they are.

When you mine, you have to put in some coins as a deposit. If you do not have enough deposit, your mining efficiency will be lower. It is different from PoS. |

If you mean slowly it can take 1 year by growing 2$ each day which is pretty good. I have a feeling that the price will stay the same by July 2016 when the halving will happen. It mostly is going up and since August it reaches the highest point this month and hope for the best in upcoming months. The rise will not be smooth, it will be a huge sudden rise. Bitcoin is all about big burst and bubble cycles, neither it will be televised.. or actually it will this time, hell last time Bitcoin hit 1K I saw it on Fox News. And yeah the halving will most likely create a bubble and will leave us a higher floor after it. Even 2$ every day it is really a big jump ($60 within 30 days). At the halving period the number of bitcoins will not be reduced! But the number of bitcoins will increase slower that it is at the moment (25 BTC per block) The price will rise long before the halving. When halving comes, the price will be stable or drop. |
