41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling? on: November 11, 2015, 10:00:18 AM
What is good it is that I'm feeling lucky. If I win 1000 satoshis or 1 mBTC, that's the same, since it won't last a long time Wink. It's better to lose little amounts. When I said that I was living for gambling, I meant that I was losing money (not a lot), so that can be living from gambling.

It is better to play with small amount each time. The main purpose in gambling is to enjoy the process, not just winning the bets. To be realistic, most of us cannot win all the time. So just enjoy with small stakes. In this way, the gambling process will last long time and we enjoy the gambling for long time.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: November 11, 2015, 09:26:21 AM
If Gambling was not introduced then many people have to do the hard work for earning money.

I am pretty sure the opposite is true. Most people lose money gambling. So if gambling never existed or was illegal people would have more money. It wouldn't be a form of addiction.

The casinos however would lose some money.

Gambling just redistribute the money people own. It transfer the money from most gamblers to very few gamblers and casinos. Casino earn the money by providing a legit business, not different from other service industry. A few gamblers make some profit and are happy. But even for the losing majority, he played the game.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: The truth about the current bubble on: November 11, 2015, 07:29:18 AM
I like seeing this bubble pop.  Was glad I didn't buy 450+ like some of the people who did and are holding the bag now.  Get ready to buy low soon.  Btc <100 in a few days

Any specific reason why you want the bitcoin price to drop. You are lucky that you did not buy in $450.
Do you believe the bitcoin price will be <100 within days?
I can bet against you that the bitcoin price will not be below $100 for any 24 hour period in 30 days. There is chance of flash crash, but the below $100 price will stay long.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: November 11, 2015, 07:23:39 AM
I disagree, I say there is a house edge when it comes to sports betting.  The worst part is its a high house edge.  You have professionals betting against you and trying to make you lose.  Good luck with that
you are always free to bet with the noob's . It's not a house edge as there is no real/guaranteed chance to make profit's unlike the house in casino, dice etc... professionals do lose many times.

Even though there is no house edge in sports betting, the gambling operator have the rights to set the bet odds. They can always set the odds in their favour.
In the sports betting, it is also the gambler bet against the gambling operator. Of course, if the odds is not set right, gamblers can win, some times with big wins.
45  Economy / Gambling / Re: WinCo.in - Dice, faucets, poker rakeback deals... on: November 11, 2015, 07:20:11 AM
Dice is back online, with 0.09% house edge. Max payout is more than 0.5BTC what is written on site at the moment, it depends on moneypot bankroll by what I have understood.

Most of players at WinCo.in have been new sign ups to MoneyPot, so please forgive me using this same old script as many other sites Grin

House edge is so interesting but the features on your site are not interesting enough to gain more players. Do you have any plans to add more features in the near future? And how long will this 0.09% house edge stay, is it just for a promotion or you will keep the 0.09% forever?

The 0.09% house edge is very attractive. I want it to be kept forever as a gambler, not the casino operator. But that rate is unsustainable. There is cost involved in providing casino services. They have to pay  staff, web service, technology development and security of the service. So I believe it is promotional rate for some time.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 10, 2015, 09:50:19 PM
It could be but you have to have disciple and know when to call it quits when you have won a little profit for the day.
I've learned that small steps in gambling works and greedy can corrupt you and you will lose it all in a flash.

Gambling is an interesting activity. Basically we pay the casino to have entertainment there. It is a negative sum game. Some of us will  win, some of us will lose. But as long as we do not lose all we have, it is fine to gamble and enjoy the process. It is quite exciting some times.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: The truth about the current bubble on: November 10, 2015, 09:23:48 PM
It is possible for the price to go below $300 briefly, but it will not stay there for too long. The bitcoin is in bull market. It will rise steadily until next halving. Then further adoption of the coin will push the price even higher. In that process, there will be some corrections. That is a normal behaviour.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: November 10, 2015, 01:49:45 PM
I will stop gambling after I win 5 times of my initial deposits. Then gamble again next day  Smiley

What will happen if you lose money, do you keep depositing more?

Because most people don't have a problem winning its the losing that makes them lose their accounts.

That is a very good question. We can stop playing if we have already win some. That is a happy action.
But if you lose some first, then it is quite tough to decide if more stakes should be added. If more stakes are added, then the loss can be bigger.
Good luck with your trading strategy.
49  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: November 10, 2015, 01:46:37 PM
I have sold most of it in this past bull run (bit too early to be honest), but if you think of selling every last coin, well i would never do that.

Is your average selling price over $450? Is so, that is very good.
Are you considering buying some back now? The price is quite steady at the moment. It might be preparing for the next push upwards.
It is a good advice not to sell all yours in one go. The bitcoin still has future in front.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 10, 2015, 12:44:08 PM
At present, the price of bitcoin is too volatile. For example, if you want to transfer $500, you buy the bitcoin at $500, and get 1 bitcoin. You then send 1 bitcoin to your family. When they want to cash in, the price has changed to $350. You lost $150 in the process. So application of bitcoin in remittance will only work when the price of bitcoin is more stable.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 09, 2015, 10:09:14 AM
In long term, gambling is unprofitable for gamblers as the gamblers as a whole have to pay the services provided by casino. Casinos have a house edge against the gamblers as they have to make a profit. This is not different from other industry. We pay to watch film, to play in the Disney parks. So gambling is not profitable for gamblers in long term.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My goal to earn 1,000bitcoins within 3years on: November 09, 2015, 10:06:37 AM
Statistically, gambling is a losing game for most gamblers because there is a house edge and other rules against gamblers. The casinos provide the building, staff to serve the gamblers, so the gamblers have to pay. This is reflected in the house edge. So most gamblers will pay to play the game. This is a fact. So treat gambling as fun, not a way to earn a living.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling? on: November 09, 2015, 07:37:30 AM
You could gamble for a living if you cheat the casino or either play poker since is a game were not only luck but skill ... and yes most of the people is living for the gamble.. that's sick because they do not only ruin they'r life but family and loved ones.

Most of us cannot gamble for a living as we do not know how to cheat and cannot cheat. Most of us also do not have the skills to win in skill games such as poker. Casinos live on gambling as they provide the gambling service. They deserve the profits.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: November 09, 2015, 07:31:00 AM
Gambling created many problems, anger, addiction, and debt.

The creators of Satoshi Mines and Bustabit, damn, they're rich.

The creators of Satoshi Mines and Bustabit are rich because they provide a service to gamblers. If their sites do not get hacked, they will remain rich. I have no problem with that. For the gamblers, they know they will lose. But they just want to try their lucky and get fun out of it.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: November 09, 2015, 07:27:07 AM
My advice,  if you won  one day and you play again
Please dont used all your profits. Because you will never know you a luck or not.

Yes. After you win some bet, then stop there and take some profits. If you lose, reduce the stake. Gambling is all fun if we lose the money we can afford. Do not addict to gambling, because we will lose eventually.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risky to leave fiat currency on an exchange?? on: November 08, 2015, 10:24:38 PM
If you want to leave your money in an exchange, Gemini is a good choice. It is regulated exchange based in New York. All the fiat is deposited in a local bank. You are protected. That is the theory. There is no chance to test the robustness of the exchange yet as it is just a few weeks old and has not been hacked.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get BTC fast? on: November 08, 2015, 10:19:02 PM
Anybody willing to loan me BTC based on my clean Bitcointalk account?

How much do you want to borrow? The account is worth about 0.3-0.5 bitcoin. So you can only borrow about 0.25 bitcoin. That is because collateral should be at least 30% more than the loan amount.
If you want to sell your account, then post it elsewhere such as digital goods or auction section.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 08, 2015, 09:20:55 PM
Yeah, WU fees are quite ridiculous. Though in all fairness you could make the same argument with something like PayPal where you can send to friends and family for no fees, but obviously it falls flat in that it's very much centralized and also has quite high fees if you use it for commercial transactions. I think WU is going to get hit with a wakeup call very quickly.
but in real life people will rather choose western union, they just think its the safest way to send a money, WU will lead as a money transfer option for next 1 years probably

It is quite optimistic to say bitcoin will lead money transfer in a year's time. I think it might be feasible in 10 year's time, depending on the wide adoption of bitcoin and its use in everyday purchase and usage in business. If bitcoin is used widely, it will also be used in remittance.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: November 08, 2015, 09:16:42 PM
If Bitcoin drops to $100 now (or less) it would be because of a devastating blow to it (a major scandal, prohibition of some sorts, etc). And it will fade into nothingness, replaced by a new tech maybe.

I think so too. Without major disaster, the price of bitcoin will rise further. The rise should correlate to the adoption of bitcoin and acceptance of the bitcoin in business. I do not foresee any major problems of bitcoin for the time being. So the price will rise every few years, not every week.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 08, 2015, 09:06:52 PM
There is a mathematical & theoretical strategy, but it anyways do not guarantee to always profit, but it increases your chances.

Is this a published strategy or not? If it is published, then everybody knows about it. If this strategy is applied, casinos will lose a lot of money in this game. It either has to remove the game, or change the rules or increase the house edge. Casinos will not lose in long term as they dictate the rules.
