So I was looking at http://vertcoin.com/ and noticed that both Dedicated Pool and Ecurie.io pools are listed as 0 Khash and 0 workers.

Did they fork? Stop reporting? Anyone from pool support on this forum might want to check, seems odd. If anything, makes it difficult to measure and ensure distributed hash...

My miners are connected to the pool, mining with reported hash rates, but there are no blocks found since last night in the pool. I think I have wasted 20 hours there.

The website says "We are recovery data, and will finish soon"

Using vertminer 0.5.4pre2?  Then you need --nscrypt!!!

Where do you download the 0.5.4pre2 Windows verstion?

Is it true that N-Factor scrypt uses less power than mining of regular scrypt?

Confirm. About 8-10% off electricity costs compared to ltc mining

I measured with power meter. It is the same.

./vertminer --scrypt-vert -o startum -u user -p pwd -I 12 --thread-concurrency 4096 --shaders 2048 -g 2 -w 256 --auto-gpu
-->185kh/s per 7970 no HW

./vertminer --scrypt-vert -o startum -u user -p pwd -I 13 --thread-concurrency 4096 --shaders 2048 -g 2 -w 256 --auto-gpu
-->330kh/s per 7970 100% HW

I have the same bad hashrate with vertminer 0.5.4pre and vertminer 0.5.3...

I can see a link on github for cgminer CPU and GPU miner for vertcoin https://github.com/Bufius but I can't compile it... and there is no ADL_SDK like every other version of cgminer I saw...

And another thing, when I try to compile vertminer with ubuntu 64bits.... I can't do it with your ./buildit.sh  Huh
I have to tape ./autogen.sh before ....
I will post screenshots this evening...

I have another rig with Xubuntu and my 7970 on it is pulling 330kh/s

When you use I -13 and TC=8192, does it create a "4032" bin file?

still low payments?
How come we are mining MOO with 336 profitability and I have 0.0007 exchanged with 6.5MH ? unless this stat is not updated?
aTriz can you please check if this is correct?, thank you!
induktor

It is mining leaf at present, the difficulty is 38 and price is 8 satosh, how can profitability to be 209?

For 30MH/s, the revenue is $98, below LTC, which is $148, whose profitability is 48 according to coinchoose.

Hello,
I have Ubuntu 13.10 64 bits, and vertminer 0.5.4pre... downloaded from https://github.com/Bufius/vertminer-gpu‎...
Mobo SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 , processor am3+, ram 16Go ddr3....
I have 4x7970 saphire radeon, and they pull 2500 kh/s with cgminer --scrypt (DOGE, Litecoin...)

Now with vertminer, I have 100% HW beyond I 12...
I can only pull 750 kh/s , that's 190kh/s per 7970, it is ridiculous....

My best setting is : ./vertminer --nscrypt -o stratum -u username -p pwd -I 12 --thread-concurrency 4096 --shaders 2048 -w 256

May I have to test the cgminer modified mod https://github.com/Bufius/cgminer, is it better?

I have the same problem with 0.5.3. If I use TC over 4096, it will create a 4032 bin file, instead of 8192.

I have the same issue. One rig is working fine, the other created 4032 bin file.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running MSI Radeon HD 7990's on: February 12, 2014, 08:40:57 AM
guys... just tried to put 4 7900 into on rig - failed. I use 1-16 powered risers, two PSU 1250 and 1000w. My win7 sees only 6 GPUs, one of them work on low memclock/gpu regardless of MSI afteburner settings. I tried various slots on my MB ASrock FM2A88X Extreme6+ - same results. Any ideas?

I use Win8 for my rig using several version of Catalyst>=13.4. Maybe you can try that.

Or you can use mod version of catalyst.

Sorry if this has already been asked but does anyone else show good numbers for "Current Hashrate" yet also see ZERO's for both "Round Shares Accepted" and "Round Shares Rejected" here: [Suspicious link removed]/workers/?

I think I am getting only half the amount of credit I am expected.  I have about 4GH/S going but I seem to be getting credit for only half of what I expected to mine (estimating with a straight LTC calculator.)

Hmm.... maybe I should just switch to straight LTC mining but I really wanted this to work.

How can I tell if I have a bad password in a worker field?

Help!

The displayed hash rate is not accurate. It varies a lot. You need to wait a few days for your earned coins to settle. It takes time (some times days) to exchange the coins due to market depth.

You have to connect ALL the riser molex to the main PSU.

# 1 - Corsair CX750
* Motherboard 100W
* 1 GPU = 1 * 75 = 75W
* 6 PCIE slot (4+2)*75W = 450W
* Fans 10W
(total = 100+75+450W +10W = 635W 85% of 750W)

# 2 - Fractal R2 750W
* 5 GPU = 5 * 75W = 375W
* (5x 6pin + 0molex)
(total about 50% of 750W)

Like this?

The only problem i have then is regarding PSU #2, the Fractal R2. It has 2 rails and limited connectors, im thinking like this:

Rail #1 - 30amp*12V=360W
1x pci-e (1*75W)
6x molex -> 3x pci-e 6pin (3*75W=225W)
= 300W for 4pcs 6pin

Rail #2 - 30amp*12V=360W
1x pci-e (1*75W) -> 2 x 6pin (will make this converter myself)
OR
1x EA12V -> 6pin?

Your picture is right indication of the set up.

For fractal R2, you can use the 4*6pin from Rail1 and one from the EA12V->6pin.  I do not know the distribution of power between rails. I just assume Rail 1 is the 4*(6+2)pin+peripheral, and Rail 2 is the MB connector +CPU12V.

It is better to use two CTX750 if you have not bought the Fractal.

I have now purchased and installed a Corsair CX750 as the main PSU, everything connected as desribed above. But the damn 2nd PSU, Fractal R2 keeps shutting down on boot. Its only loaded with 4x 6pin pcie (4*75W=300W) so its not overloaded. Can the problem be that it needs some load on 5V aswell? I remember something like that from back in the days.

"Many PC PSUs (not all) require a base load on the 5V rail to work properly. Connecting an old CD drive or a 12V light bulb (into the 5V rail, see picture) are well proven methods to get this load."
http://reprap.org/wiki/PCPowerSupply

Discussed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50178.0

When the system boots, it does not use much power, so it might not be unbalance of the rails.  You can verify that by swapping the PSU. If it does not shut down on boot, then unbalance is the reason.

You also remove some cards from 2nd PSU, and add one after the other.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 06:53:16 PM
Any card and any riser. Card wont start up if directlyconnected to MB. It starts if connected via riser without molex. By "start" I mean fan starts spinning.

You can try a different kind of GFX card, if it does not work, then motherboard/memory, cpu might be faulty.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: February 11, 2014, 02:20:18 PM
hi
currently thinking about building a rig. from reading this thread . the 290 is the best card to get. I read somewhere that there is a motherboard available now that can support 6 cards. Any1 know of this motherboard?

Just an example, MSI Z77A G45 or GD55, GD65.

When you say startup, does it mean the card has display? If so, card and PSU is working.

Does it happen to all the cards?

You can change the risers to see if it is faulty. If there is display with other risers, then the original one is not working.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 12:25:43 PM
OK, I just did the test on the other rig, only 1 card, connected directly to MB slot, and with 6/8 to 1 PSU. Again, not starting. I think the chance both MB or cards not to be working is 0% so obviously should be some misconfiguration of the hardware...  Roll Eyes

Try other cards.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 12:24:43 PM
How shall I do this (the measurement)?

If you ask this question, I assume you have not used it before. So do not bother.

It is better to work from the beginning.

Disconnect all unnecessary parts. Just connect the MB, keyboard and mouse with memory, GFX card no hard disk. You need to connect the CPU +12V as well.

Power on the system to see if there is on screen display. Try with different monitor.

You can use the Fractal PSU as the main PSU as well.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 12:11:08 PM
Do not use the 2nd PSU.

Try other cards.

If none of the cards are working, then the system (MB) is not working. Can you use a multmeter to measure the voltage output from the PSU? The 3.3V, 5V and 12V.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 11:41:23 AM
OK, I unplugged all card except to one which is currently connected only to first PSU with 6/8, riser molex is unplugged. This time only this card started (it is different). I plugged the monitor into it, but still, black scree only.

Can you connect the card directly to the slot? We want to make sure the MB is working.

If you see the screen display, then use the riser with molex.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 11:23:04 AM
Yes, exactly, only 2 of the 6 GPUs fan spins. And I exactly plug my monitor into one of them.

If the 2nd PSU fan spins, that means there is power out of it. So it is working.

Can you remove all the 5 cards from the 2nd PSU and add them one by one?

Can you also check if there is screen display when there is only one card connected to the main PSU?
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting 6 GPUs to 2 PSUs, please, help... on: February 11, 2014, 11:07:46 AM
Does the GPU fan spin?
Does the 2nd PSU fan spin?
