1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bank accounts - maybe sooner than we think? on: November 04, 2013, 05:09:21 PM
You're assuming that it's possible to create workable deposit insurance for BTC.

It is as long as bank has physical assets (these can be sold off to buy stolen BTC back)

What about the rule of posting your choosen number + remaining available numbers to be eglible for the draw - would make it much easier, no duplicates

Are there more reliable exchanges for US purchases?  How should the average , non-tech person (and I stress average and non-tech) buy bitcoin and store it?

Coinbase works fine for US customers. Especially with low amount deposits

I know you can see of the transaction information from blockchain, but i'm guessing there is nothing logged by IP address or browser agent information anywhere.

Not in a blockchain but every node can keep record of IP they received the transaction

Blockchain.info shows the IP of relayed transaction - doesnt need to be sender but it might be

GPU and CPU have weird smell which might affect your brain. Don't do it..

If you feel weird smell from GPU mining, do not overclock your GPUs, or decrease cgminer aggresivity

Almost 0.2 BTC from websites that let you earn, like Bitcoinget and Bitvisitor. Most of it was from doing the tasks on Bitcoinget.

I tried once but the payout is too little. 0.2 BTC ganna take some time..

Very long time. I gave up when I accumulated about 0.015 in almost one month, hitting free faucets from time to time. 1 BTC would take forever and I doubt anyone have the patience today
