141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PancakeSwap Vs Sushiswap – Which is Better? on: September 09, 2021, 05:29:14 PM
I would probably choose pancakeswap. Its easy to use platform that is very good for newbies and beginners. You can easily navigate settings and changes its slippage easily. Aside from that, BSC based projects also choose pancakeswap for its initial listings. The reason is its trading volume added by popularity. Sushiswap in the other hand is good as well. It support many chains so very good for trading. Its platforms design is quite good compare to pancake and mote professional. The downside with it in my opinion is its complexity in UI unlike pancakeswap.
142  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Shrew Team did not pay the Signature participants on: September 09, 2021, 04:07:24 PM
What happened: It's been 3 weeks since they closed the telegram group for bounty so it is clear that they scammed us after all the negotiations they made to us. At first, they reduced the total allocated Tokens from initial 15M as stated in the Bounty Thread (30M cut by half due to half total weeks) to 7.5M. We also had an agreement that they will pay 1/3 of the payment per week to avoid dumping. Mr. Arfy, CEO of Shrew talked to us with this agreement due to absence of our manager Andy500 but in the time of distribution, they deleted all the chats added by closing the group. It was unexpected due to the fact that we had a good talk with Arfy and all things were seems good. By this we had no chance to take screenshots of the said conversation for evidence. To be fair, they distributed 20% of the total payment to twitter participants but neglect Signature and reddit members.

143  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest my 10,000 USD on: September 08, 2021, 03:36:52 PM
DeFi and NFT's are hot these days. P2E Cryptocurrency games are a thing also so I suggest you these things. But beware for these types of crypto are prone to hypes and when it ended, you will end up losing. DeFi in the other hand is the next thing. It could potentially replace banks and help you get rid of centralisation of some institutions. I could suggest one good project which is Sovryn - DeFi for bitcoin that is still undervalued. Expand your portfolio to avoid big risk. DYOR.
144  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is not limited till buying Bitcoins, it is beyond this. on: September 08, 2021, 03:30:58 PM
We saw threads where discussions sparked about how will the poor take the advantage of crypto and all of them limit their thinking to what will happen if BTC skyrockets. There were lots of great answers, but we have a different approach here in this matter. Even if the poor believe that they have missed the BTC train, why don't they spread their vision and look around?

We have:
+ NFTs (we know about one user who sold an NFT for $60k that he won for free - a life changing experience)

+ DeFi tokens (liquidity pools, staking, farming are all giving huge returns for small investors)

+ P2E (Play 2 Earn is another way to make money by playing games online and getting tokens or NFTs as rewards, some games have different types of rewards)
The level of trust that bitcoin has is incomparable. These alts are probably good but not as safe and secure as bitcoin. Bitcoin established itself as a protection for inflation and historically proven to rise its price as time goes by. These alts aren't. Some of these are even hyped ones so my bet will always go to BTC.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing on: September 07, 2021, 05:16:15 PM
All eyes are on the BNB due to the increase in Ethereum's gas fee. Thinking about the beginning, it can be understood that the BNB's gas free is increasing day by day. Although I don't know the exact reason behind it, the curiosity is there.
As the network grows in popularity, various projects emerges and network traffic is occurring. I think this rise in fees are due to many transaction being utilized specially that there are many DeFi in BSC right now that uses smart contacts. These contribute to a higher fees but still super cheap compare to its biggest rival Ethereum network. I could tell that BSC's fees are much alike with Ethereum in its early stage where it was less than a $ then DeFi sector occurs added by increase in Eth price.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your investing Strategy on: September 07, 2021, 05:10:09 PM
Aside from having my portfolios managed, I really do my job in researching for those coins first before investing. The Idea itself isn't enough but the achievements and roadmap properly achieved is a must. These hard earned money should only go to projects that for me has the potential not just to go to moon but to secure that the promises mentioned in the roadmap. I also invest to those trusted CEO who has backgrounds in Cryptocurrency startups not those who literally comes out of nowhere and proclaims that he is something worth investing.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador has just bought it’s first 200 coins on: September 07, 2021, 05:04:44 PM
Quote
El Salvador president Nayib Bukele confirmed Monday that his government has purchased its first 200 Bitcoin (BTC) ahead of today, the Sept. 7 rollout of a new law set to make the cryptocurrency legal tender.

“Our brokers will be buying a lot more as the deadline approaches,” Bukele said, referring to the Sept. 7 timetable for fully implementing the new BTC legislation.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/el-salvador-purchases-first-200-btc-president-bukele-confirms

"Analysts at the Bank of America recently outlined at least four potential benefits, said El Salvador’s decision to recognize BTC as legal tender could streamline remittances, promote financial digitization, provide consumers with greater choice, and open up the country to American firms and digital currency miners."

I believe in totality, President Nayib Bukele has done a lot of good for the country and the citizens and the lots that are still against it will catch up later once they see what Bitcoins investment will bring to the country.

Very bullish news but the market says otherwise. The market hit 52K then drop fro 46K in just an hour. This big step for El Salvador will not just improve their country but could potentially change it for a better. I could see that many investor would take advantage with this and possibly foreign investors would come. It will change your country forever and potentially change lives as well. A big step for Cryptocurrency era indeed.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Recent advertisement for Visa - what a joke on: September 07, 2021, 04:12:36 PM
Your hate for visa is real man. I mean, its probably an ad for what they are building and its nothing new though. Its quite good for their company as a marketing video and for me the video itself was great. In my country, most middle class earners or government employees are paid through ATM card which is compatible with Visa and Mastercard payment network. I know how centralised is it and how banks are sucking pennies out of it but still it works for convenience factor.

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥Shrew🔥 💳 The World's First Global Retail Loyalty Rewards Crypto Token 🛒 on: August 29, 2021, 11:10:59 AM
Omg, it's really messed up and embarrassing, they got a hardcap and still treat the bounty hunters badly. Even I see there has been agreement on reducing the bounty pool, but going this far and removing the bounty group, is no longer acceptable. They really thought the bounty hunters couldn't do otherwise.

The proof that they dont care about bounty hunters is the fact that they have banned all the hunters in their main telegram group. Those who were in bounty group are banned in t.me/shrewdotcom. I can understand if they ban only those who ask bounty questions or inconvenient questions in main group. But banning all hunters is kind of lame. No wonder there is a rat in their logo.
Very unprofessional for them. Anyone who invested in here will most probably be losing money. Even though they reached hardcap and added a total of 60M+ shrew to their contract, they still oppress their workers. Another bunch of scammer who's abusing this forum by hiring and not paying.
there seems to be an act of cheating committed, but I don't know whether it's from the project side or from the bounty manager, many participants don't accept it according to the work that has been done
They rechecked the spreadsheet and remove stakes on those who spams in their reddit. We had an agreement with Arfy. He spoke to us that he will reduce the reward. We accepted it even if its unfair. Everything went smooth until the distribution date. He even told us the time for distribution that day. After that, he deleted the group. Ban everyone in their Official TG group and mute everyone who tried to ask him. What kind of a CEO is that? Only those who doesn't want to pay his workers do that.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: August 28, 2021, 11:25:14 AM
Freelancing would probably help you. There are lots of projects out there who needs freelancers that could help them finish the job. Freelancing.com is quite good and tested. There are lots of jobs there waiting for anyone who knows technical designs including but not limited to Photoshop, Video Editing, AutoCad designs, SketchUp designs and web designs. Also your payments are secured by the website itself as long as the contract is finished.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 28, 2021, 07:16:09 AM
What's going with gas fees? After the London fork, the gas fees only went up. They raised gas limit, and the blocks are half empty, even 5% - 15% filled, but gas fees are through the roof! It's not about limited capacity right now, yet it's very expensive. What is reason for that?

And what is minimum gasused multiplier?
The London fork did not lower the gas fees but put a fixed price per block for network fee. Burn mechanism was also been established within this EIP-1559 and miners wasn't the one who dictates the tx fees anymore. This makes ETH now a deflationary asset that could potentially rose in price as time goes by. ETH 2.0 is probably the solution for high fees. Not this EIP-1559.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish? Bankers Issue ‘Seismic’ Warning: crypto could replace USD in 5 years on: August 28, 2021, 04:00:30 AM
I put a question mark in the title because I don't trust the banks, and I don't know if this is a way of telling the public authorities to put more restrictions on cryptocurrencies. Or I don't know if it is a way of surrendering to the evidence, and in the same way that for many years they ignored Bitocoin and cryptocurrencies, but now they are going to offer custody services, etc., they now recognize that this is unstoppable.

Bankers Issue ‘Seismic’ Warning: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Cardano And XRP Could Replace The Dollar In Just Five Years As Crypto Market Price Adds $1 Trillion

".a poll of mostly banking executives found most think bitcoin and digital assets could replace fiat currencies like the U.S. dollar within the next five to 10 years—a shift described as "seismic." <...> "A strong majority (81%) of the almost 1,300 executives questioned think blockchain, the technology that underpins bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, is broadly scalable and has already achieved mainstream adoption. Meanwhile, 73% think their company should adopt crypto and blockchain or risk losing competitive advantage.

"The foundation of banking has been fundamentally outlived and financial services industry players must redefine themselves and find innovative ways to create economic growth in the future of money," Pawczuk, who heads up Deloitte's global blockchain and digital assets practice, said in a statement alongside the report.

This year, Wall Street banks from Goldman Sachs GS +1% to JPMorgan JPM +1.6% have begun rolling out bitcoin and crypto services to their clients as central banks around the world experiment with blockchain-based central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
"
Woah really bullish news. I thought it would take few decades to replace fiats but with this news it is possible that the adoption by banks is nearer than expected. However, I am skeptical about this in just a 5 year span of transition. I think it would take up to 10 years to be fully implemented if banks and US government allows it.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency: The Future of Finance in a New World Order? on: August 28, 2021, 02:30:28 AM
In 2009, the first cryptocurrency -Bitcoin-, officially launched and since then has continued to roll into a snowball effect that poses a serious threat to the existence of conventional finance. As much money as the restless World Central Bank, the government seems helpless and dragged into the vortex of the evolution of the world's financial system. The Covid-19 pandemic has become a catalyst for forcing the entry of all financial and banking industry sectors into the digitalization era. Imagine a concept of a world without physical currency. It is strange, but real. Money will be removed and replaced with a digital currency system.
I agree. This Covid-19 enhanced the adoption of digitalization due to fear of the Virus getting passed. DeFi sector will most probably be replacing the old banking system that is rotten by greed and personal gains. Freedom by which you control your funds through these protocol is what humanity drives into this evolution. It would be hard to replace the current system due to the fact that Governments are in to it thats why projects like TheStandard.io is really promising.
155  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 27, 2021, 04:28:09 PM
I hold bitcoin for the main reason of appreciation. I believe that BTC's price right now is still small that it could potentially rose to a 10x in the future. Another thing is it solves inflation. Instead of saving my money in bank, I put it in BTC and watch it grow as it goes.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market? on: August 27, 2021, 04:24:50 PM
How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market?
1. The team background of the project,.whether the founding team members have other technical or operational backgrounds related to the blockchain icon project. You can learn about it through official white papers, official websites, communities, and other channels.
2. The investment institution of the project is extremely important. A good project seed will attract the participation of well-known institutions in the circle.
3. The technological innovation of the project, or a simple analogy of similar application projects.
Even if the above mentioned ways to identify good projects were met, still some of them are scams. One of the best thing to find these gems is to have an internal research of project. It includes the track record of the team, their present achievements, marketing and developments that they are promising. You also have to look if the roadmap were properly achieved within its time frame and the tokenomics. Other than that, even if all of the mentioned were met, volatility still occurs. Prices may differ from expectation.

158  Economy / Economics / Re: Masters in Blockchain and Digital Currency on: August 27, 2021, 07:47:58 AM
I'm now graduating from a BSC in Business Administration, and as I've mentioned in another thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355827.0), I'm pretty clueless on how to continue from there, as I haven't decided what I like or can see myself doing in the future. I've stumbled upon a Master’s Degree, in Blockchain and Digital Currency.

The courses are the following:

Required Courses:

Introduction to Blockchain and Digital Currency
Principles of Money, Banking and Finance
Law and Regulation in Blockchain
Blockchain and Entrepreneurship Management
Blockchain Systems and Architectures
Emerging Topics in Blockchain and Digital Currency

Selective Courses:

Digital Currency Programming
Smart Contract Programming
Permissioned Blockchains Programming
Cryptographic Systems Security
Emerging Topics in Law and Regulation
Emerging Topics in FinTech
Open and Decentralized Financial Systems
Token Economics

What are your thoughts about such a degree? Would you go for it? What career prospects would something like this have?

https://www.unic.ac.cy/blockchain-and-digital-currency-msc-distance-learning/
If I would be given another chance to study any field, Id choose this. But sadly in my country it is not available even in good universities. In this era where technology is fast upgrading, blockchain in my opinion is one of the future. I can see a very good future about this technology and being able to be part of any developing project for blockchain would be great.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: Pakistan's Economy are going to crisis for Taliban? on: August 27, 2021, 07:18:32 AM
Investors are most likely to invest in countries where they are safe. Pakistan in the other hand is a neighbor country of Afghanistan which is really prone to attacks by these terror groups. This makes investors staying out of that place and that makes their economy shrink added by this pandemic it is really expected to lower down their GDP. Unless, they fight this terror group, they can't have foreign investor coming there.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Fiat on: August 25, 2021, 05:22:41 AM
I make a strong differentiaton between crypto and fiat money. While my monthly income comes from fiat and all my expenses are being paid in fiat, I don't want to hold any excess fist money. The interest rate is 0 and isn't likely to change any time soon. All my excess fiat money I either buy stocks with or convert into crypto currencies. All my savings I am doing now with cryptos.
There's no interest holding it on your own and if you'll put that in the bank, it is the banks that will earn from it and they'll give you a share.

Yeah, a little share from your own money that has been deposited on them and used for loaning their customers. That's why if you have extra cash and you want to grow it, invest in on crypto and if possible, don't go far but buy bitcoin.
In my country the biggest interest rate by a bank is 4% while the inflation rate  is 4.4%. We lose .4% of our money even if we put it in the highest paying interest rate bank here so it is wise to have an alternative. This is where BTC and Gold assets comes. They provide a protection for our hard earned income and keep us away from institutions that makes money out from our own money. Aside from that, in crypto we now have DeFi projects that offers a big return for our assets.
