Before investing make some search and u can make some information about altcoins, but coins that have bright future are: Monero, Iota, Powerledger, Stratis and make some search for others  Right! Better up searching almost what is the potential about an altcoin and look at the recent graph of their value to look for preference and if you think its too much risky follow your gut although if you feel some encouragements about it and you think its worth to risk with then do it. Would defenitely recommend a brief research about putting your coin at risk. |

Depends, what is your personal risk tolerance? I kept in mind "Invest only what you can loose", so I accept a high risk Considering from your statement your a wealthy man/woman. Theres one thing i want to share even for a wealthy person that even if you keep in mind something that you are willing to risk it means you rely too much or you just learning from a different point of view. I dont know what kind of person you are but if your a learning type i might applaud you for bringing such risk to yourself i commend you. |

Atleast for a minimum of $40 i know it is that much but look on the bright side if you invest on bitcoin theres no way your funds or money will go to waste it will grow an unexpected value only if you wait a considerable amount of time. Theres more its like putting your money in a bank but not a stable one although in a good way. |

I'm making my first steps in the cryptocurrency trading world, and am learning everything from scratch (and loving it!)
I have a question which I couldn't find a definite answer for.
What do you do when you want to close a trade of an alt coin? With BTC it's easy, you just cash out (or not?)
But with alt coins, what do you do? Do you buy BTC? If so, then I assume it's a gamble as well, as you don't know what BTC will do from this point onward.
Do you buy BTC and then Tether maybe, so you can stay in the exchange and not have to withdraw the money and then deposit again?
I'm obviously talking about a scenario where you want to take the earnings and re-invest them, as opposed to just take the money and go home.
Planning to buy a new Desktop to improve my speculation about altcoin activities and monitor some activist for their signals and output for a designated altcoin. Reinvest some amount after buying is kind of refreshing. Monitors all coins that has good value's. Well pc is better than Smartphone cause of the resolution matter. And multi tasking issue's. |

Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?
In some cases of that it is . Although you have to be vigilant and sell you coin at a fast transaction some coins have pulled that on the first basis to put up q good price then drop it afterwards its their style of business but only some does that. No all though does that. |

many coins have reached dollar highs recently, but none have gotten anywhere near their bitcoin highs.
i can imagine just as many people are pissed off at their alt falling against bitcoin in the last few months as others are happy at the current dollar gains but to get those bitcoin gains you'd have to be a double trading god to sell the alt at the right time.
where do you stand on this?
If not busy i would do this as a career although im still learning the basics and focusing my job on this forum. Im just taking it easy dont wanna be greedy for now but ill try trading for some other time. I know the potentials of trading but it also have risks not much though. |

Been on poloniex for 6mos.. but someone told me that Bittrex is better
I am thinking if I transfer my funds to Bittrex ..
Yes it is a good exchanging platform and has slick features and design.Although bitstamp has the highest volumne intake. Bittrex has a auto buy and sell according to your limits. I dont know really know much on poloniex though. |

Good he blamed himself and not bitcoin at the end of the whole story. It is quite a story and I hope a lot of people who feel bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme will learn a lot from it. So many people have no single idea how bitcoin even came around, what gave birth to it, the risk of investing etc and then with the mindset that bitcoin is going to make them rich they hop into the train and then panicked when they see the other side of the volatility showing its face.
Going all in means exposing yourself to huge risk, more like greed to me and worst part, without even a full understanding, you expose yourself to panic risk. Hope someone get to borrow a leaf from this guy's story and I hope the guy is smiling now, if he ended up not panicking the year the story was written.
So true For those who are new to this forum and says bitcoins a garbage,Scam,fraud etc. They probably dont know how bitcoin came to existence and probably will never ever be cause they are an ignorant bunch they dont know what hardships and imaginativity to produce this marvelous idea and so many countermeasures. Can predict but dont have a difinite and specific value in time. People predict it by speculating the growth of it although they are not sure about it just blabbering although helpful speech. If it is like that and knowing when is the pump it would be hilarious and we would be rich by the thought if it even some marketer dealers dont even know that bitcoin would come this far. |

Where do You guys trade cryptos?
I'd like to start, but GDAX is offline as soon as crypto volume is high.
I need platform with decent technical indicators (mainly fibonacci tool).
Bittrex has good features but has an average amount of volumne. Might be better if you use bitstamp for a higher value in bitcoin. Dont know if bitstamp has the same featur about auto selling a designated amount and value. |

Many peaple are waiting this treshold... can bitcoin go back at 15k....stall...or is unstoppable?
For now it is going down on $15000 from a $18000 yesterday. Though it is not guarantee to settle at $15000 it maybe even $13000 well just think of it $1000 in one day increase? Thats just too much i think someones behind all this though im not sure ,im only suggesting ideas. |

I've been pulling my hair out trying to 'cash out'. My transaction has been stuck for 12 hours and I've already lost a good deal of cash waiting for it to go through.
If I drops rapidly over the next few days, I'm going to lose my mind.
Its possible but not that of a loss .It has a low chance of crashing cause its now settled to $16000 might get low than $16000 or $15000 but thats it no more than that bro so no worries just sit tight dont let money change your mind and who knows it might be bad or good but so far bitcoin have a good run and circulation. |

I'm 20 i search an investment for my 60, I found bitcoin years ago but bought my first satosh only in early 2017,
So i'm searching for a 40year investment, do you think crypto will still there or it'll crash before ?
-First : I think holding both alt and btc is contradictory for longtime investment(because of the correction), except for risk diversification but I'm more convinced in btc than any other coin what's bring us to the second point
-2nd : BTC becoming mainstream, most of people are not like us, searching the best coin etc... if the most known cryptocurrency work why go to the other ?

i hope bitcoin doing correction first. bitcoin price is currently unexpected. profitable for old investors who's holding bitcoin. but for newbie who begins to deposit its very heavy.
Yeah might be a problem for them and maybe theyll doubt it more cause of that dip and pump. Hoping for a good correction of bitcoin so i can relax a bit. Cant relax with a wopping $15000 value of bitcoin for just a day it rose up to $1200 for the day. Imagine that. |

I could not understand why there are those who are also in Bitcoin yet are predicting that Bitcoin can go as low as $3,000 or even $5,000 when a crash can happen soon. I am not saying that a dip -- a big dip -- will never happen but considering the things happening right now in the world of cryptocurrency, I don't believe that it can go as low as those figures.
Maybe if one day USA will decide to follow the footsteps of Japan in banning Bitcoin trading activities, then maybe it can be possible that Bitcoin can crash big time but even then it can still be able to recover fast due to people always waiting for an opportunity to buy Bitcoin cheaply.

Youre right about the kick back negativity of the positive value that has been growing a lot lately surely it wont be a problem for us were just earners were not trading any altcoin to grow our money a lot better though if you invest on bitcoin your ready to accept whats the value given by it.
