781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: January 12, 2018, 04:25:45 PM
“One of the keys to a trader’s success was not the results of a trade but rather how a trader reacted to the results of a trade.” – Dan Gamza

Why me? Why did this happen to me? Those are some of the questions that disturb losing traders. After a series of losses, some of them develop hatred for trading. Suffering that results from negative trades, drawdowns and margin calls can make people easily disappointed in trading.

Nonetheless, no matter how bad your trading is, it could’ve been worse. No matter how bad things are, there are still some reasons to be thankful, if you can think deep.

There are events that move the markets and which professionals focus on. These events often are filled with uncertainties, bringing profits and losses to people. Just some months ago, Greece was a hot topic, and speculators were mulling opening positions on the seemingly overextended markets, but some had serious misgivings. At times, the stakes may be higher than the rewards.

There Is Really Nothing Like Losses

There is really nothing like losses, for what brings losses to some people is what brings profits to others. The market moves up or down – not losing up or down. When you buy EURUSD and it goes up, you win (but a seller will lose). When you sell AUDJPY and it goes up, you lose (but a buyer will win). When you enter a direction in the market and it moves seriously in your favor, all those who go in that direction will make money, provided there are no wide differences in their entry prices.

What you call losses is what brings profits to some people. What you call profits is what brings losses to some people.

People Don’t Learn Their Lessons

Despite well-meaning efforts to solve the problem of loss, there are millions of traders around the world who’re still losing because of dangerous trading habits. People don’t learn their lessons.

During a funeral process, many attendees will be remorseful, thinking about the brevity of life and futility of wickedness, anxiety, love of money and so on. But once the funeral is done, you’ll see many of those attendees living their lives as if they’d not die again.

Too many traders lost in the past because they didn’t use stop loss on live and simulated accounts. When they come back to trading, you’ll see them using the same trading approaches that led to their downfall the last time, namely, high lot sizes and no stop loss. People don’t learn their lessons.

Traders who test new trading ideas on demos don’t use stops; and I wonder how that idea can survive on live accounts in the long haul, because they may apply it to a demo account once they’ve been lucky enough to gather some gains.

A Way Out?
After many years of grappling with the markets, traders who complained in the past may later show their gratitude; and for the fact that the markets cannot be blamed for what happen to them (though we may feel disappointed sometimes). There are days when they become sad, and they complain when they think of their seeming helplessness. Nonetheless, they’d have come to understand that the markets don’t set out to punish individuals.

Interacting with good traders as well as reading about super successful ones would’ve made them stronger psychologically and kept their spirits up.

Reflecting on a possibility of a risk-free trading approach reassures those who’re currently losing. Good trading coaches care about them, knowing full well that the end of their struggles is in sight. Focusing on such hope can give a trader the fortitude to endure certain negativity now.

Conclusion: Are you disappointed in trading? Well those who currently make loads of money from trading were once disappointed at some time in their careers. Those whose marriage is now successful were at one time, frustrated by their spouse. But these people, for example, profitable traders (as well as happily married persons), looked for solutions to their problems and apply those solutions faithfully. That doesn’t mean they’re luckier or better than others: that means they’re able to overcome the causes of frustrations and disappointment in their careers.

This article is ended with the quote below:

“Markets are people. So beating them asks for insight in what they are doing. And, perhaps more importantly, how they feel, because that will direct their future actions and, in the end, what markets will do.” – Dirk Vandycke

We all have that experience at first but as the time goes by we have matured on the process and we learn to accommodate the knowledge we earn from experience and thats the foundation of a good trader to be a mature type.

The Bitcoin correction seems too far and too quick . Hold ? Or sell and buy Bitcoin Cash? Or BTG or BTH? Any suggestions ?
Dont switch your main holdings other than bitcoin or else youll regret it. Dont panic just hold if you have that attitude youll succeed on it. Maybe put some effort on some altcoins to earn some of it.

784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Current Downswing Due To Exchanges Restricting New Registrations? on: January 12, 2018, 05:02:34 AM
Nearly every major exchange (Binance, Bittrex, Kraken) no longer allows new users to verify and begin trading, due to the high demand for new accounts. This high demand makes me believe that the market isn't crashing, but rather going down since it's very difficult for new investors to enter into crypto investment right now due to these exchanges. Do you think this is the reason for the current downswing? Or if not, what are your thoughts?
Ripple has an influence towards Bitcoin cause they are buying tons of it and its still blowing up. Seems bullish to me. Im currently steady just for a while im stopping my trades and focus some work. I know ill regret it later but no matter. Its more fun in the real world.

786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: January 07, 2018, 02:04:34 PM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

As long as you dont lose hope keep moving forward let the past be the lesson and keep in mind that the same mistakes wont happen again. Learn to accept whats ahead deal with it with a calm mind
787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know when to sell? on: January 06, 2018, 10:03:16 AM
Can i anybody put me through the basics of knowing when to sell and when to hold?...
I actually don't know much about market rise in demand and supply and it's affecting me in daily trade of cryptocurrency.
Know your limits, know your satisfaction if you thinks its enough then so be it. Dont let emotions take you always look whats infront of you dont think back if you know youll regret it. Move on and think. Think before you click. By the ways Ripple is blowing out might be a good idea to invest.
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why did I lose on trade ?? on: January 06, 2018, 08:02:03 AM
Hello I don’t understand I bought for 4000 Eur one hour ago of Ethereum when it was going up, it stayed around the 10-20%, it started to decrease 5 minutes ago so I sold it and now cex.io just gave me 3500eur for it... wtf... Huh
The %came from me watching livecoinwatch.. Cex.io doesn’t have the accurate price ??
You just bought a deadcoin i think. The investors there has auto sell if youd invest on it and just like that auto scam with a deadcoin becareful next time be more catious. Look for ico's rather.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are altcoins dead? on: January 06, 2018, 04:51:41 AM
The 2x fork is over and not a drop of money has come in to altcoins, the market is dead.
Dont be ridiculous it takes more than that stop all the altcoins to be invested with. Investors come and go. ETH has good impact on all altcoins. So it might not be the right time for now.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my Portfolio for 2018 on: January 05, 2018, 02:18:53 PM

791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Choose a Good ICO on: January 05, 2018, 12:37:16 PM
Hi guys, there are so many ICOs, such as those listed in https://www.coinschedule.com. It's pretty hard to review them one by one.

Which elements I need to consider, the team? the product? the promoting technology? or something else?

Thanks for any suggestions Smiley
Look at the preferences look at their websites if theyre getting that much attention. Look for their Campaigns if looking good then invest or hold. By the time their ICO will end i think you should probably end too. Some of the ICO dont attend much on their work if the ico is done.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get more profit? on: January 05, 2018, 09:06:38 AM
People always greed.
Yes, I am one of them.
Recently, i lost some of my bitcon because i want more instead of holding bitcoin. so i buy altcoin but not top 10 altcoin.
Would you like to share your experience?
Beside, i know that airdrop is good way to gain profit.
What do you think DeepOnion airdrop? It seems that they got a very good community.

If you want it that desperate you must do all things as participating such events like airdrops and stuff. You must join all bounty campaigns about social media and after you profit from all the hardwork on bounties and alts and sold all of that you go after trading too. You acquired the knwoledge about trading because of pooking fo bounties and some experience about selling and looking about how the price would go on improves your decission making and thats good.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is next ?? on: January 05, 2018, 06:24:10 AM
Very bullish on ETH and NEO right now. We could be looking at a 10k ETH over the next year when the upgrade happens and we see POS.
Happens all the time though i doubt ETH would be $10000 in the next coming year. Well its good to be catious to have less regrets later. For now bitcoin is going through a lot and slowly recovering its settled for $15000 now hoping it will do much later. Focus on Bitcoin to have more a secure profit.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ico scams on: January 05, 2018, 02:42:32 AM
Have you ever been scammed in an ico,
How?
Those who have been scammed have been ignorant to their coins not attending their progress and the duration of their ICO. Theres no way you will be scammed if you just trade or sold their coin for a quick money. But if youre sighting a good start you may invest all you want.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the biggest problem with EXCHANGES right now? on: January 04, 2018, 11:56:51 PM
1) Poor support giving no answers
2)Asking for photo ID
3)Wanting Google 2FA even when it is not possible on a laptop.

Interesting, yeah 2FA is annoying! I got like 20 now on my phone and lovely bittrex asks for it every damn time... with no other backup way of logging in

However I cant really see what they could replace that with
You cant help it they are just tightening their security so no excuses allowed if they are hacked and it would be difficult to hacked if every users has 2FA.
796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade without losses on: January 04, 2018, 10:06:05 AM
Trading means risking theres no way you will not lose a single penny in trading what i meant of trading it is risky but it depends on your strategy sometimes you got lucky but in the end its either youll profit or not be that experience to be implemented on your next trading session and be smarter.
797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turning $50,000 into 1M in 365 days- Buy and Hold possible? on: January 04, 2018, 07:38:12 AM
Hi, first of all, I'm not an expert, but here's my opinion:

BTC: 15%
ETH: 20%
XRP: 20%

I can imagine BTC and ETH certainly moving forward, those might even go 10 times it's current value. I'm not sure about Ripple, but looks like a good plan as well. Now, keep an eye on BTH as well... bitmain controls most of the market when it comes to bitcoin mining and they have been asking for BCH over and over...

Let me know how it goes;
Wish you good luck;
Chris,
These three are the good coins you may want to invest with for good cause to happen just like the folks that have been wealthy for just holding it like that. The OP may profit more than his money but not totally 10x its value. Youre over exaggerating man. We dont know that yet.
798  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt Coin Trading Strategy on: January 04, 2018, 04:08:48 AM
what do you usually do in trading?
care to share your strategy? for the benefit of all
well here is mine
for short term investment: i usually check high volume alt coins, next is to buy alt coins that have positive growth not more than 7percent after buying i check it minute by minute of there is at least 1 percent increase then i will sell it Smiley
long term: i read altcoin discussions and decide what alt will i hold and sell it in the near future.
what abou you?
When youre trading dont mind all the money thats going to be your profit just keep wanting profit more and dont overly expect a profit just a bit is enough but if you wont stop i know and you know that it will grow eventually. Keep selling it while it profits long investment is risky but if you want instant money you should sell it while it is high.
799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to trade efficiently? on: January 04, 2018, 02:03:59 AM
I know that it varies from people to people and their strategies but there must be some important and basic points which people tend to forget all the time .
Of course I don't want you to reveal your trading strategy but some good tips that would really help me out.

First of all, leave day trading to the bots! Go for longer term trades on recently heavily dumped coins. Don't diversify too much, and don't buy small amounts of a lot of coin. You will end up only with scraps. Concentrate on few well researched coins instead. Hunt down coins with solid, new technology and buy the dips.
And stay away from pump groups. The good ones are closed clubs with rather high buy-in price.
If he can hunt it or narrow it down. But we know we dont know a hard coin that will have solid future in the crypto world. There are many candidates to have a solid investment but for starters it would be risky to do that.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your strategy in trading on: January 03, 2018, 02:25:58 PM
What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?
Learn to be content on a low profit for a good start and dont let emotions take you anywhere from panic selling. The more you panic the more your regrets will appear. Learn to be wise about profits learn how to identify the good coin to bad ones.
