221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra May kill all stable coins and may be best trading pair for bitcoin on: June 21, 2019, 08:02:14 AM
with all the circus around fb its gonna be a fun run + heavy adoption pushes 🍿🍿🍿 Cool and its not like stablecoins are that stable so far

I think that is one major advantage of fb coin. Their adoption will be easier as compared to other struggling coins. I will take it as a positive development in crypto. Might help in further understanding the world of crypto by ordinary individuals who are into fb. This might pave the way of more btc adoption, who knows what the future holds?

such adoption)

btc had a satellite for over 2 years till it really got some traction and nobody could give less fucks ahahah. if blockstream would do it by 2017 - price would be over 50. but after the winter....

agree with HCP - would be challenging to solve the power question right. tho theres somewhat mobile solutions https://github.com/rootzoll/raspiblitz)) battery + lte wifi access point - and after full sync you could use it in the field by adding the battery to RPi

DPow gives double spending protection without any change in code so exchanges are gonna love it in my view

no theres still some code changes, like when new notary nodes are elected. but its not overlapping with our mechanics in destructive way

How much is annual POS percentage return?

as kurbeks mentioned, no POS. its PoSe (Proof-of-Service), which is for the masternode layer. these are mining rewards - they depend on different conditions

i like the idea Cool
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin SV starting to grow? on: June 01, 2019, 08:33:33 PM
Hello, how are you BSV fans? Today we can see the movement of the Bitcoin SV price jumping rapidly, around 50% for today. Will this continue or just pump for a moment. Maybe I will be a little sorry, because I sold this week and chose another place. But there is nothing to regret. My prediction missed.

I'M not really BSV fan but I think the hype trend of BSV is the effect of the craig wright US declare he the satoshi nakamoto. Congrats to all BSV holders.
What is the relationship between the Craig Wright US declare he the Satoshi Nakamoto? wouldn't it turn out to be a lie then it would have a negative effect on the price of BSV?
Regarding the news circulating that Craig Wrigt claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, there were many people who might have different opinions. I was honestly aware of that, but in reality after the news circulated, there was a significant change in BSV. I don't know myself getting confused.

im no bitcoin professional, but bsv development does not make any sense as original bitcoin. crave dev could also claim he is satoshi, he was increasing block size waaaay before it was trendy ahahahahahaha

232  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do some people hate Bitcoin and crypto and want it to fail? on: May 29, 2019, 06:28:04 PM
These are uneducated fools they do not understand anything about Bitcoin and we can't do anything with it, partly to blame on this is the mainstream media who keep preaching that Bitcoin is bad for us and it's a Ponzi scheme, one day, they will just wake up that everybody is using Bitcoin and making money out of it, and they are very much late.

thats what bill gates is trying to do ahahah, sneaky

After doing some additional research, and reviewing a list of bitcoin/crypto companies, I believe the transaction in question was actually Coinbase upgrading their cold storage system, and moving their coins from one cold storage address to another.

To support the above, I found this blog post from about two weeks after the transaction that says they moved $5 billion worth of crypto, with a value date of December 7, 2018, four days after the transaction in question.

wow thats a good piece, thank you! it does looks more like one of coinbase txes
235  Other / Serious discussion / Re: mysterious bitcoin user with 66k BTC on: May 28, 2019, 03:58:57 AM
I think they are probably unrelated.

I looked at a couple of the transactions to 1EBHA1ckUWzNKN7BMfDwGTx6GKEbADUozX the address that spent the 66k btc, and I found some connections to various darknetmarket sites. This person could have been selling drugs on various sites and accumulated that much profit over  about a year. He also could have been buying on exchanges that happened to receive transactions from people who withdrew from DNMs.

The operator of the service he sent the transaction to has been around since at least 2012, I believe. I don't think there are many businesses that meet that description.

The transaction was from about six months ago, and BestMixer was closed about a week ago, and was under investigation for about six months at the time.

thats what i thought as well - but nothing stops you from reusing hardware wallet when you start a new "project") and if you got away with the last "project" wouldn't you just keep the same backend to keep the water calm?

Regarding recent 66k BTC tx - https://www.securityweek.com/authorities-take-down-cryptocurrency-mixing-service-bestmixerio coincidence?

yea, and its even before it moved to PoS)))) was there any non-scam use case besides cryptokitties there?). this is besides the fact it was shit @$1k+, and its not getting better, for some reason.

Well if that is your take about ETH.  Wink

Yeah, the price did actually hit $1,300 - $1,400 for eth and that's what people is looking again because of the possibility that it can be back again there once the bulll run gets in.

Thanks for that info as about smart contracts on bitcoin. So it's still on a test phase, I didn't knew about that.

it can go back again, no question on that. but i think it would happen due btc price jumps. performance rate is still low and when sudden tx increase would hit the fan its gonna be 2017 all over again, but idk if it could get any worse tho)) when btc, on other hand, conquering space traffic right now and scaling topic is on another level after ⚡️
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Waves the Most Overrated Altcoin? on: May 20, 2019, 06:56:02 AM
Price will only go up a bit if there's a demand and people are buying it. Whethere there are so many updates, the demand from the people will still decide on how the price would go. Add also those investors that are starting to abandon the project because of that.

id say it would be bch/eth.
BCH and ETH is overrated? I'd agree with BCH but ETH? no it's not overrated.

also why would you use waves when you can do smart contracts on bitcoin way cheaper and with robust security (thanks ⚡️)?
Smart contracts on bitcoin? or you mean ethereum?
