What is PD Pro going to be?

A completely new dice experience coming soon! Can't share any details yet, will be out soon enough.
Is this in response to Just-Dice competition?
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: July 27, 2013, 07:19:51 PM
Because that's the same thing as saying "I lost 4 times in a row, so I have a higher change of winning this next bet". Just because many people lost, does that mean people are going to win right after?
The examples are certainly stupid.
However it could be useful to divest while wales are playing, if you don't want to take the variance risk (you'd still take the win or loss of the first high bet though).
The goal would for it to be configurable so investors could use it however they see fit.
843  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] An Auto-Invest/Divest Bot Script for Just-Dice - 4 BTC Bounty + Bonuses! on: July 27, 2013, 07:01:02 PM
After looking at the website, it heavily uses websockets, and I don't know how easy to automate it is without a browser.

Anyway it likely won't meet your requirements, so I give up and will do one for my needs later.
It is fine if it requires a browser to be open.  Must work with both Chrome and Internet Explorer though.

2.  Must be able to work with Windows x64 Bit
Is a Python script OK? I'm not sure, since I also use third-party libraries like lxml.

I was thinking of doing a similar script for myself anyway, but not really focused on systems where installing such packages is hard. (I have a lot of experience automating websites using these, that's why.)

I guess you're looking for something that runs in the browser instead?

1.  If can integrate the ability to use auto-login when disconnected, an additional 1 BTC bounty
Easy to do if I use my favorite lib but then it will be even harder to make it work on Windows.
I'll have to see how the login/logout works.

2.  If can integrate the ability to use google authorization for login and divest functions, an additional 1 BTC bounty
Not sure if possible to automate, unless you reimplement google auth locally?

Quote
3.  If can add a audible whale alarm when any bets over "X" BTC are detected, an additional 0.5 BTC bounty
Seems easy to do on Windows according to what I find.

The key is it must be easy even for a novice Just-Dice user to use who is not technically savvy.  Must be installable with an executable (though all source available for those who wish to self-compile).  Now if you want to make an installer that auto-installs python and all the libs needed, that would be fine.  I want it easy enough for even the non-technically savvy user to use.

I was going to say that is idiotic. Then I saw the 4 BTC bounty. Now it's just retarded.
Why?

It about risk management.  When you are away for a long time, some investors would like to lock-in profits.  Others would like to dollar-cost average while being afk.  Theoretically, you sre right but variance is a bitch.  This bot would decrease variance and the possibility of decreasing long-term profits but also protecting from steep short-term losses.

Probably easier to give 4 btc to doog to make this, it's easier for him because he has API access.
Hey, he is more than welcome to go ahead and do so. I think he has other more pressing concerns on his to-do list though

Project: A bot script to help reduce investor variance in the form of an auto-invest & divest bot for the website Just-Dice.com

Details: To be able to set parameters based on change in the site's investment by percentage or amount over a given period of time which will trigger a variable invest or divest action.  The bot when given the proper parameters (time, amount or percentage change) can then complete any of the following actions:

Examples: 1. Should the total site protfit increase 10% or more within any 24-hour period, will auto-divest all funds.  Then will re-invest all funds should the total site profit by 15% in any length of time
                           2. Will auto-invest 10% of the current account balance every 72 hours
                           3. Wil divest 20% of total investment for every increase of 20% over the principal investment

Conditions:
1.  Must be released open source on Git-Hub upon completion and payment of the bounty
2.  Must be able to work with Windows x64 Bit
3.  Must be able to be compiled to an executable in atleast Windows (Linux additional bounty)
4.  Must be easy for even a novice to use - so no scripts which requires knowledge of python, etc by the user
5.  Okay if requires browser to be open.  Must work with both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
6.  Must provide support for at least 1 year (should changes me made to website which "break" the bot).

Payment: 4 BTC Bounty

Additional Bounties:
1.  If can integrate the ability to use auto-login when disconnected, an additional 1 BTC bounty
2.  If can integrate the ability to use google authorization for login and divest functions, an additional 1 BTC bounty
3.  If can add a audible whale alarm when any bets over "X" BTC are detected, an additional 0.5 BTC bounty
4.  Linux version: an additional 1 BTC bounty (please test with Ubuntu)
5.  If can have it work without needing the browser to be open, an additional 1 BTC bounty

Any takers?

The only "alt-coin" that should be added is BTC-e USD. You deposit USD with a btc-e voucher and you withdraw USD getting a btc-e voucher. This will allow investing while the price of BTC is going down without losing money.
Terrble Terrible idea. He would instantly go from a legal site with play money to the IRS pursuing him.

Would be great if we could get primecoin the news somehow.

854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: July 26, 2013, 06:40:05 AM
I have been on JD for some time, I believe "Always roll low" strategy gets people nowhere. Cos everyone's hash (the seed where roll results are derived from) is different. What's important is to "know your own unique hash". Use hundreds of really low bets to get a feel of the "character" of your hash and then bet accordingly.

For example, my one frequently gives >90 after a <10 roll, so I bet high after a <10 roll

I wonder if there really is a system that works since these numbers are only pseudo-random?  Maybe the server sheet should automatically change every X rolls
855  Economy / Securities / Re: Best Investment? on: July 26, 2013, 06:37:20 AM
asicminer is obviously the best investment in bitcoinland nowadays.

Disclaimer: I am a shareholder....
I already hold some ASICMiner Direct Shares - I actually been slowly lightening up on every 20% move up.  Just seems it has risen too far, too fast - expectations are very high.
Just-Dice is very volatile - honestly, being an investor there seems to be about the same as being a gambler.  Hoping long-term it works out.

What is the to like about Activeminer?
856  Economy / Securities / Best Investment? on: July 26, 2013, 02:08:53 AM
Just wondering what people think is currently the best semi-trustworthy investment out there?  I am involved in only two currently: Just-Dice and ASICMiner.  I hate the mining bonds and Satoshi Dice now has one private.  I also hate the new Ministry of Games, mostly since the CEO is a sociopath though maybe that alone not a good reason to dismiss it (though sociopaths do have a way of screwing people over without guilt).  Any other suggestions?
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: July 26, 2013, 02:02:16 AM
A common misconception about Roll High/Low: it does NOT make ANY difference.

All it allows you to do is choose the number range that will result in a win or loss.

For example: 50% win chance, Roll High = 51-100, Roll Low= 0-50

Not true, A Low Roll is 0.000001% more likely than a high roll due to how it is calculated
858  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SELL] Advertise on Just-Dice.com on: July 26, 2013, 12:03:11 AM
Did not notice the earlier higher bid...

Changing bid to 1.75 BTC for next week's ad.
I just checked out your site and made a bet just from seeing you post in the section bidding for the ad space. Just-Dice advertisements so good can get business just bidding for the ads!

You did not assign your account a password so you can log back in? I imagine Dooglas can help you.  He will want proof the account is yours such as a signed message using the bitcoin address you used to fund the account.

Why did you guys pick the Internet Explorer icon as symbol of the currency?  It is basically synonymous with closed source, poorly run, bloat-ware.  Oh, wait, now I get it.
