661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 05, 2014, 06:49:06 PM
We are making our run back towards $666.   I would love to be able to sustain prices just above that.   If we can manage that, then we will slowly start working our way to the $680-$685 level, and ultimately $700

If it holds above 600 that will be great. The dark 400 days seem over.
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10/21 EMA has crossed! Weekly MACD set to cross up! Full Moon in 7 days! on: June 05, 2014, 05:30:16 PM
Matt you are one entertaining guy. I do appreciate your honesty with how bad a trader you are - you've never hid your constant failures from us. The truth is most everybody here is a shitty trader - myself included. It just takes some of us longer and more losses (lesson fees) to admit it to ourselves (it took me many, many years and lots of $  Undecided).

It does make me a little nervous that you are on board this train, but I think btc fundamentals and technicals are strong enough to handle even that.  Wink
Good luck, brother...

I still do not feel its a rally yet. Still every morning checking the prices makes me happy.
663  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: June 04, 2014, 05:18:40 PM
hey bitmixer,

My old deal ended, wanting to come back to bitmixer campaign for now.  I replaced your sig and went to the signup.  I entered my uid and I see "active" but also "FAIL".  Since I'm trying to rejoin, I think it's expected that I didn't have your signature in the last seven days.

Fails:
May 28   Signature not found
May 29   Signature not found
May 30   Signature not found
May 31   Signature not found
June 1   Signature not found
June 2   Signature not found
June 3   Signature not found

What should I do about this?  I'll leave your ad in my sig space for 48 hours while I wait to hear back from you guys.  After that I'll have to remove it because I have a no free advertizing in my sig space policy that I have to maintain.

Looking forward to hearing from ya.

You will have to keep it for a full 7 days before you start receiving payout again.
664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $680. So obvious this is a pump. on: June 01, 2014, 08:48:33 PM
Disclaimer:  Playing devils advocate here.  And I hope im dead wrong.

We're back to the peak of the last spike.   Right before the convenient fake bad news came out, and the price conveniently crashed.  All on FUD.

What bad news is going to come out this coming week to make the price crash again?

------

Genuine adoption and commerce don't make the price go up $250 in a week and a half.  That's got to be a pump.  Agree or disagree?

I used to argue with people who claimed BTC price was being manipulated.

Then I learned through experience that BOTS, Fake news stories, and whales may be playing around a bit.

We can safely say Bitcoins actual value right now is about $450.   Is the rest just large holders making profits?

I wonder what announcement will go live next week to justify a crash, and make it look like "investor confidence was lost".

Again - here's to me being very wrong!  Smiley

-B-

I do not think it is a conspiracy as such. BTC price will keep bobbing up and down for a few months now.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the next bubble start? on: June 01, 2014, 07:48:34 PM
I think it would be either this year end or early next year; my money would be next year.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: $620 - time to buy? on: June 01, 2014, 07:47:04 PM
The price seems to have dropped steeply all of a sudden from about $675 to $620. I'm thinking of picking up some more btc, I feel like it will inevitably go back up again. What do you guys think?

My feeling would be not buy now, but those with the charts might have a better idea.

I do not see this as a breakout rally, so it will keep bobbling over 1-2 months time.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: This forum is full of future millionaires on: June 01, 2014, 07:45:44 PM
anyone holding over 10 bitcoin today will probably have 1 million USD (in today's purchasing power) in 10-20 years.
most of the fiat pundits who mock bitcoin today will be eating their hat when the USD finally implodes.
be glad you are lucky enough to be here in this moment in time when bitcoin is first invented, it will be quite a story to tell...

I would really like to believe you, but do not keep all your hopes pinned on that happening.

Bitcoin may turn out to be Myspace. 10-20 years is a long time.
668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Start of a beautiful rally. on: May 26, 2014, 04:59:49 PM
I'm calling it.

Pessimistic outlook: $1k end of 2014
Optimistic outlook: $3-4k end of 2014

Let's hear your thoughts on this.

Thats what you would hope, but I think this year will be slow. If it stabilises above 500 for the year it will have done well.

"bitcoin" and "stabilises for the year" don't really go well in one sentence.

Thats true, but I have a negative short term feeling. So if it stabilises as opposed to going down I will be happy.

670  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: May 20, 2014, 03:45:23 PM
My 2H-volume based technical trading algorithm made a call this morning. Switched from BEAR to BULL.

It had been a BEAR since 2014-4-16, at the price of $515.

I think it is about time for the rest of us to switch to bulls also. The risk/reward ratio from being a bear in these circumstances is declining rapidly.

It is possible that the deck was arranged for a dip last weekend (I also noticed it in the charts and warned you). But since nobody panicked, some of the players took action on the greener side.

I tried to send a longer treatise on the possible developments in price yesterday, but since I was on a cruise ship, the internet didn't work properly. I think I'll scrap that one, because of the indicator going long, and good news just cascading on the face of price being -60% below trend. So now I advice to buy for all timeframes from 1 month to long term.

Maybe, but I still think there will be another dip below 400.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Winklevoss twins: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: May 19, 2014, 09:21:49 PM
Why would I listen to bullish statements by someone who owned a million bitcoins?

As much as I would like to assume what they are saying is true, how can we trust what they say? Exactly. If I held as much as them, I'd pump and dump bitcoins too! Tongue

i don't trust the winklevi bros either, but it's a question or the chicken or the egg.. do they own bitcoin because they truly think it will become huge, or are they saying it because they are hoping they can pump the value of bitcoin (since they already own so many).

Though they invested in Bitcoin at the right time, they do not strike me as too bright.

673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin ever fucking go up? on: May 12, 2014, 08:57:36 PM
It will go up, maybe by year end or early next year.

Expecting a slow few months now with the occasional biggish movement in either direction which will make everybody start posting images and memes.

Any bets on the bottom for the weekend? I am hoping for 400 at least.

The dearth of sellers is palpable.

Same goes for volume. Does not mean much.

The downtrend has been in force due to sellers overriding buyers. If the volume dries up, it is because the sellers are exhausted. The price is nascent despite the low volume. I would abstain from shorting here.

The trailing 4-week change is positive first time since February. My last call of 435 bottom was off by $14.87 so let's try to call another one here.

Agreed about shorting. But I have sold earlier and now waiting for a better point to buy in for more profit.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: STOP BUYING INTO ALT COINS , as you are indirectly hurting Bitcoin on: May 10, 2014, 09:46:27 PM
I make more money trading altcoins than Bitcoin, so I hope you will not mind if I keep buying into alt coins.

This is a post out of clear desperation. Bitcoin is down not because of alts.
