connections should get syncd automatically. Have you tried restarting the wallet?

I just opened and unlocked my wallet, synced fine on Windows 7.

https://github.com/CoinsSource/SourceCoin

Actually your existing wallet is not a control for this. Once you have connections they are saved in the peers.dat file. Try deleting that and see if it syncs.

Problem is getting the first connection. Once that happens everything is fine and so I wanted one node which can accomodate 1 more connection. I will just check tomorrow to see if there is any progress.

I will try to get some new nodes active for the client

It has been running continuously for over 24 hours now and there is still no connection. Can you type getpeerinfo in your console and put the list of connections here? That should solve my problem, once I get 1 connection it will know where to look.

I downloaded the wallet to sign up for the signature campaign. I added the nodes from the first page and my wallet is still not syncing. Initially I tried adding through console but it would not take it, then I went ahead and put them in the conf file.

Is your wallet unlocked when you try to sync? Where did you download the wallet from and which OS are you using?

Also it may be syncing, the bar sometimes disappears. Check the bottom right corner, to the left of the bar. Somewhere around that area you can view if your wallet is syncing.

I downloaded the wallet from the link given on the signature campaign page. It is supposed to be the new, post fork one.

I can not unlock as the button is still greyed. There are 0 active connections to the network. It never connected to anything.

Let it sit open for a while, it sometimes takes a while to connect for new wallets. Not an unusual occurrence.

Actually it has been sitting for hours now. Can you me give any other node? The current nodes have probably maxed out their connections.

I am using Windows 7.

This must be some rich invester, or a big company.
Because they just spend 20 million on bitcoins, I mean not alot of people have so much cash to buy some bitcoins.
Im sure they believe they maybe have 200 million in the future.

20 million is loose change for the big entities. Some might have thought why not take a punt on this thing. Remember that for them even a 5% return is huge.

I wish I had so much loose change Grin

That is a really good news, one of the sites which I actually use. They are also educating about Bitcoins which is a bonus.

I do not think it will have much effect on the price in the short term, though. The awareness spreading might help in the longer run.

Argentina looking stronger, but I reckon this one is going for penalties too.

Too many shootouts this time around.

So close to my prediction. Screw you, Angel di Maria!

The lineup of teams is now looking quite good. Can not pick any favourites now, even though my money is still on the Germans.

Looking like a pretty even match so far. Both teams getting chances and pressing

Shaqiri is looking quite good.

Horrible miss by the Swiss  Grin

Wanted to add for sourcecoins, but the sig is too big. Will add if we are allowed to modify it.

Gutted for Greece - they are true warriors, far too stubborn to simply leave the competition without a fight.

Costa Rica did well, I can't get my head around how they managed with 10 men for so long, then come up with penalties like that. Absolute masterclass in penalty taking.

Their energy levels are insane. Against Italy even after 80th minute they were pressing and closing down hard.

If I can get a discount then sure and then replenish the BTCs. Otherwise I would rather keep hold of them as I believe they will be worth more.

Greece misses, just one kick remain to send Costa Rica through!

They have done it Smiley

Will this push BTC up? If then I am all for it Grin

Prices have become boring, need some volatility.
