281  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: July 25, 2013, 02:41:00 AM
More to the point who's financing? As you have started without requiring pre-order cash to cover NRE...

Just hope they Don't take pre orders like the others. Almost all the One's that take pre orders are a Big dis-graced to the bitcoin community. Please don't take our hard earn money to finance your ventures. They are local financial institutions go look for them or used your own hard earn money and take the risks. When your stocks are available we will happily buy from you.

Errr...we're talking millions.

Most will avoid pre order at all costs , looks what butterfly and avalon did if Escrow is provided some may take the risks or pay with paypal to have some degree of protection

How is the development and gathering of investors going on with your very own 20nm Galaxy-ASIC chip? Wasn't it called out to be an 100% scam attempt?

he's jealous because Ken actually managed to get funding and something is now being built.
this guy is a wannabe -- A sad little soul left behind who failed at what he was doing.
And now he must get his revenge on the ones who are going to be successful.

jealousy and someone not acting on their project and knows all mentality is the problem. they are always someone smarter than you.
284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Eyes to the horizon: A bitcoin ASIC project will be announced in June on: July 23, 2013, 11:57:18 PM
So err...just to confirm; are forum members allowed to suggest 'lazy Westerners' that may be capable of marketing genius, or are they assumed by you to be incompetent at that as well..??

He didn't actually insult all westerners, or even all Europeans. In the thread he only refereed to Nordic people as being especially lazy, with 2 hour workdays 4.5 days a week. (which I guess would be coming in for an hour on Friday?)

Yes he took a kick at those Europeans..
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 23, 2013, 04:32:52 AM
I have the opportunity to upgrade my Saturn for $3500 and really not sure what to do. It is already pumping 400G/H/s which isn't bad for my first miner. If money wasn't an issue I'd probably just go ahead and do it.

Has anyone else upgraded their units with their upgrade packages or just kept the same?

I'm of the opinion that KnC will deliver on time.  If that is true, then you will make money on your investment.

I don't know your situation and you should never invest money that you can't afford, but I would upgrade.

What guarantee that they will deliver on time? will get our Miner in September 2013 guarantee??
286  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Network Protection statement from KNCMiner on: July 22, 2013, 03:34:20 AM
Just make sure KNC delivers in September are all we need ..
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 21, 2013, 09:46:12 AM
At the end of the Day, the only thing we need to be concern is can we get our miners in September 2013? ? Can we get them? How many of us are 100% confident without a doubt??

If you are confident without a doubt you are probably insane. There is no 100% guarantee for it (or anything really), but according to KNC they are still on track to deliver in September.

Scary even you yourself not 100% sure you will get your miner on time??

289  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why is everyone trying to sell the USB Asic K1 Miner??? on: July 20, 2013, 01:30:46 PM
0.94 btc would be $86.4 plus costs would be $96.4 and is only giving you 282mh/s or max with over clocking of 350mh/s? At the moment 1gh/s is only $18.
290  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Why is everyone trying to sell the USB Asic K1 Miner??? on: July 20, 2013, 12:44:27 PM
What is the point of buying a USB Miner knowing very well you will never recover your investments!!

Be smart and don't into their sweat talk and empty promises.

You will NEVER RECOVER your ROI  !!!

It is not  worth even as a collector item!!
291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Eyes to the horizon: A bitcoin ASIC project will be announced in June on: July 20, 2013, 12:31:23 AM
Maybe you are a troll or fanboy, but he will say place your bets you lazy European Grin and make me rich.. send him the bitcoin and say good bye to your hard earn money.
292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Eyes to the horizon: A bitcoin ASIC project will be announced in June on: July 19, 2013, 03:37:20 PM
Very risky and what proof do they have? they don't accept Escrow? No chips to show and they are using your funds  for their project. Ya, you are right blame it on SMIC !! and wafer is done in September, look more like Nov only you can get the chip.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 19, 2013, 03:25:00 PM
chips has been send for production or otherwise.
294  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike 1 Avalon Asic chip Mini USB miner on: July 19, 2013, 01:44:09 AM
You can get them for 0.8374 BTC Smiley

 "Competitive" indeed.

Send me one tomorrow?
Well considering the bkk has not completed testing the design yet probably not.

You make a great point.

You are therefore no longer competitive.

So in 3 weeks we will be competitive thanks for the information.

How are you going to be competitive I wonder?? 282mh/s mining against 100gh/s??
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 12, 2013, 01:57:26 AM
I guess that's my point. Metabank and KNC both collected pre-order money in early June.  Metabank's Bitfury chips have been manufactured but KNC's have not. It may just be a difference in schedule priorities. Just wondering...

May be KNC need to disclosed more details on what's going on? be more open.
296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] labcoin ASIC - v.1 @130nm/300Mhz -16 cores chip - European / Chinese Team on: July 12, 2013, 01:53:24 AM
this thread is much more legit than knc miner. more people should be paying attention. good luck.

Have to admit they disclosed more details than others and certainly looks to be more transparent.

"Power consumption per GHash is 12.8W/4.8G=2.7W/GHash"

"Estimated selling price for chip, 8-9 USD"

"estimated selling price of 8-9 USD is affordable, is this confirm??"

Estimated chip price may be slightly adjusted, but will stay near that price point. We're looking long-term and we think we will be working with volume instead of focusing on retail market.
We will still probably offer some high-powered devices though, expected in Mid September.

The contract with SZICC is being signed and sealed tomorrow, for booking the tape-out on Jun 24.

The IPO seems to be going a bit slow though, but we have enough funding for this initial tape-out, so it's not a concern.

P.S. All emails received are being automatically added to our newsletter.

Thanks

Who is SZICC is that your Design House or Fab House and what is their relation with TSMC?
298  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] labcoin ASIC - v.1 @65nm/433Mhz - v.2 @65nm - European / Chinese Team on: July 11, 2013, 06:07:26 AM
Today we have a very important update, the Chinese team is simulating a lot of design simultaneously and worked almost non-stop for the last 48 hours  targeting different process sizes.

The results are more than positive, i will try to outline them in the clearest way possible.

1) The 65nm 500Mhz is still undergoing post-verification phase, while another simulation is ongoing at 600Mhz and we're waiting for the results.

2)  Post simulations yielded positive results on a 130nm, 300Mhz, Power 0.8W, 6.5x6.5mm design.

The team is working on HDL optimizations to get 16 cores for chip.

Some math, quoted from the tech team
Quote
"300M*16=4.8G, 0.8*16=12.8W, Area=130,0000*16=2080,0000, make the utilization ratio to 50%, the chip size will be about 4160,0000um2, about 6.5mm x 6.5mm"

"Power consumption per GHash is 12.8W/4.8G=2.7W/GHash"

"Estimated selling price for chip, 8-9 USD"

What does this mean ? i think it's not hard to get.  130nm process and 5GH speed at slightly higher power consumption, but competitive prices.

Shoot any question guys

Sam
Labcoin team

estimated selling price of 8-9 USD is affordable, is this confirm??
299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are you interesting in Bitfury chips? on: July 11, 2013, 06:01:19 AM
buy at $75 selling at $200 = $125 that is a lot of Profit !!!, if you have  1000 chips x $125 = $125K making a killing.

If you are seriously working on an ASIC chip, then why can you not at least tell us what nm your chip will be?

You are lacking in even the vaguest of details...

At this point you need to be tossing out something other than pretty pictures.

I want you to be the "real deal", i really do, and if you prove yourselves then you can expect several TH of orders from me (escrow only of course), but at this point you seem very very lacking in details that anyone serious could/would be prepared to talk about already.

Founder appears to be a scammer but i will let you be the judge of that.  I dug up a bit of info on him.  Looks like he spent a lot of time trying to run investment scams in 2008 and 2009.  Also found his ebay account which basically has negative feedback for every transaction.  He does have a nice website and renderings though. Roll Eyes

A little background on the founder:

I am all about transparency but it seems like you ought to research more before you start slandering people around.

The only thing that can be confirmed above is my name, facebook & company name and registered address.

His Facebook page is now hidden, not very "transparent"

We will be hosting a set of open days in London, Berlin, Shenzen and the Bay area ....

4 Different open days, on 3 different continents... I would certainly fly to Shenzhen for your open day, so please invite me when the time comes, i am not far away.

ya me too,  I will buy a miner on the spot remember to bring some along.
