The hardware doesn't likely cost more than $2k, and they want you to pay a 700% premium to make like $400 on a $14k investment. The numbers simply don't add up.

+1 and weren't they supposed to release their "something for everyone" product line "by the end of the month"?? Agreed, they did say they would offer 1-chip versions as well so hopefully thats still coming. if they can make a 4-chip box they sure can make a 1-chip box... ! Much as i'd love to buy Cointerra's (or anyones) 2 TH box for $7k myself (thats $3500 per TH), its unrealistic at this point to expect them to sell us their gear for significantly less than their competitors are! Lets just compare the price of the advanced mining hardware for delivery in the nov/dec timeframe :- KnC's new pricing (i got my email from them a few hours ago, ie: today) is $4999 for a Jupiter 400 GH box (thats $12,497 per TH) Hashfast's price for the baby Jet is $5800 for a 400 GH box (which is $14,500 per TH). presumably they will re-price to compete with KnC in due course. BitFury's October pricing is still $8000 for a 400 GH box ($20,000 per TH). Cointerra's price is $13999 for a 2 TH box in Dec (ie: $7000 per TH) (corrected price, thanks bcp!) |

I honestly don't think KNC will have all these preorders filled by end of October. I haven't seen a Knc Asic chip yet, and it is already going on September. They'd have to have everything lined up just right if they expect to get chips installed on the board without any issues and everything communicating right. Not to mention to assemble all these units and then ship out all these orders by end of October, they'd need one hell of a team.
Without seeing a chip already, I'd be surprised if they'd even have a physical prototype ready by Oct 1st.

Many used their meager savings in lieu of food, clothing and rents to pay for the group buys and after 4 months, we were told that chips will not deliver but getting a refund. Zefir was considerate and we wish more people like him who gave refunds immediately to those less fortunate to alleviate their suffering.
In the first place who started the group buy and who wants to make money from the group buy?? Don't blame those on your group buy blamed them on Yifu if you will.
Everyone in the group buy should get a full refund, those who are rich and wealthy can always donate to their favorite group buy mods.
5.6 batches is 5.6 x 10,000 chip = 56,000 x .079 btc each = 4256 btc x 10% = 425btc profit x $145 = $61k very good. Were you Greedy. ? with the 61k you could buy 10 Jupiter for FREE,.

I think that this is fair compensation for all the work you have put in over the last few weeks finding out the intentions of hundreds of buyers. If you didn't charge a fee I was going to tip you something anyway so call the 5% a tip... Some of us are not as wealthy or rich liked you, we have a couple of mouths to feeds and rent to pay every month, well if some of us request for full refund may you consider their request. "stripykitteh" could always give more of his generous donations. |

those mods who did the group buy are doing their twist and turns when giving a refund, when they need us for their group buy they beg us and makes all the false promises to enticed us to sign up for their group buy. most of them had got their refunds from yifu. Majority of us simply just need a full refund.
some may have been whore into the DIY designs offer by them but that is not our problem, that is your problem with them, not those who did not sign up for any of your DIY Kits or setups and this are the ones who should get their refunds now.

To those who organized the group buy, please for goodness sake, refund the money in FULL to those who were in your group buy now. Those in your group who had bought into the DIY assembly with you all should be treated differently than those who did not buy into your assembly or DIY, they want a full refund.

They all seems to stay very quiet in here. When they need the group buy Wow they are highly Active promoting their group buy. But when time to get a refund most of them are very low key.

With Hashfast indiciating they 'taped' out it makes me wonder when the ASICs for KNC will finally arrive to get this whole thing finally rolling on their end.I think this is actually healthy competition between the two companies.
We wonder when? Bitfury has shipped out their 400Gh/s Miner the last week, when is KnC Miner turn? We All Wonder When? When? Are we going to get a Full Load of excuses from KnC, blame it on the Fab, the delivery, the yield, parts, the suppliers, blame everyone Except themselves. |
