I have met Michael in person. He lives about five minutes away from me and I also know his place of business.
The question is: Am I trustworthy? Well, I can't answer that one, all I can do is let interested parties know that if you turn out to not be trustworthy, they'll have at least one person they can ask to go knock on your door and say, "Hey, Mike, what's going on?" Now the question is, am I trustworthy or are we in cahoots? Haha. Yeah. The problem is there is no 100% trust here or really anywhere. There's always a little bit of a gamble. But tell me, I've bought a couple things from you in person, and from your experience, if I say I'll do something, do you think I will I do it? Is that a paid BFL ad in your sig? No. It is in response to their raffle they're holding. See this... https://forums.butterflylabs.com/showthread.php/35-Contest-BFL-is-giving-away-hardware-for-Signatures!

I'd call BFL to confirm. Safest bet. The email in the screenshot is their standard confirmation email after placing the order. HOWEVER, if the buyer doesn't complete the Paypal or BitPay transaction this email is still sent. AND a second email is sent if the buyer is paying via Wire Transfer.
IMO this is not a valid means of showing proof of said orders. Just call BFL to confirm.
I paid with BTC so I didn't get any other e-mails. I agree that calling BFL is really the only way to confirm.

okay that's not showing quantity or even your email address appears gmail address It is a gmail address. BFL emails to me didn't specify quantity. The details of the order would be confirmed with BFL. http://imgur.com/8sI12,81L7q,aHeF9

I'll have screen shots later today. Order dates are August 27th, 28th, and 29th, respectively. * looking back, the order dates were the 27th, 29th, and 30th. The list here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89685.0 is where I got the initial info.

Butterfly labs WILL NOT change the shipping information on orders. Be careful with that.
On that note, are you willing to deal with escrow?
Actually, you're correct. I could've sworn that they said they would, but I was misremembering. I can't do escrow because I need the funds now. I have history here so perhaps we can make an arrangement for a lower price and I will ship to you as soon as I get them. where are you shipping from? San Antonio, TX

Order #6341* for 1 Jalepeno - 15BTC send to 1EspdyKARvSqKpW8kEC6vBPhRJFRmwSt1s (SOLD)
Order #6637 for 2 Jalepenos - 29BTC send to 1FZgwJXeqF7EsSs3vrBikWoSZxj14e29Sh
Order #6714 for 2 Jalepenos - 29BTC send to 1JJYvRrDntsozMjuUXybH5UmGzbMLCk8Rw
After payment, I will have Butterfly Labs replace my order information with your own, so instead of sending to me, they will send to you.
I paid for US shipping, so if you're not in the US, my order may not cover your shipping.
Or make me an offer in PM.
* edit
It looks like BFL will not replace shipping info. Make an offer for me to ship unopened whatever they send me, whenever they send it. They have stated that they can confirm orders and they'll be able to confirm that I have these orders.
* edit
was 6314, transposed 4 and 1.

10-3-12 - I have put in an email inquiring about an upgrade 4 of my orders to the Little SC. BFL_Jody on the Butterfly Labs Portal has stated that if you have orders for 4 or more Jalepenos, for some additional BTC (I'm guessing about $50 worth), the orders can be upgraded to a Little Single while keeping your place in line.
Offer - Buy the remaining 2 orders of 4 Jalepenos (#6637 and #6714) for 55 BTC and I will continue pursuing the upgrade for you. I will even cover the cost of completing the upgrade up to 5 BTC.
* edit
10-5-12 - Having not received any offers on the remaining 4 Jalapenos, I have upgraded them to a Little Single with Butterfly Labs. Because the opportunity I was hoping to capitalize on has passed, I will simply keep the Little Single when it arrives and mine with it myself.
Edd will get the remaining Jalapeno when it arrives.
I'm now locking this thread.

Pretty sure 'passed' is correct.
Don't be. It was a joke. It is 'past'.

FRIST, man
FRIST
How that gets passed anyone is beyond me.

So I bet 10 BTC on this and never got paid?? When can I expect to get paid? ?? It's coming. Stop pestering people about it. As we know, pestering causes delays.

Ngzhang is certainly delivering by February-March if there are enough pre-orders.
Hmm....

Really? I ordered the same day and my order number is more than 200 different that that. Odd... Perhaps the numbers are not as sequential as I thought? Please check your order number. Edit: Or order date. I don't think they've ever been sequential. If I placed 2 orders back to back, I wouldn't be surprised if they were 10-50 apart.

What do you mean by "finding pirate". His real life identity was known long before he defaulted as were the identities of some of his real life business associates and his family. We even know when he's next due in court in relation to other matters.
What is needed now is for people who've lost funds to actually go ahead and file complaints with the various agencies responsible for investigating investment fraud, cyber-crime, etc. The more people who do that, the better. As such frauds go, this is not a big one, so a large volume of formal complaints is highly desirable.
That's what I'm really wondering... First, if his identity isn't know, can we not at least get a log from the forum admin with all the IP addresses he logged in with and go from there? Second, if his identity is known, can we not get a complaint form together for BTCST customers to fill out so that a formal complaint or class action lawsuit may be filed?

Doesn't the title of this thread say you'd be giving 100% interest to "anyone" who thought pirate was a fraud, not just the owner of this particular address?
He did by doubling the numbers in the spreadsheet. At some point, a scammer is going to find himself having scammed someone who isn't afraid of violence and has access to a couple grand in airfare. It isn't a question of if, it's a question of when.
