FPGA scrypt mining was known already. It was less profitable in comparison to GPUs. With Your intention of not selling "scrypt ASIC" one can start being suspicious that at the beginning You will sell expensive shares of actualy GPU farms.

Why would You sell 5MH/s unit for 1350 GBP, when it would make 1450 GBP/month mining DOGE for ex. at this moment? With these prices it won't be this profitable in a week. Will You borrow me Your crystal ball for some time? I would also like to know the future as You do...

The cheapest one. Because You will never make money with, so the loss will be minimal...

Why would You sell 5MH/s unit for 1350 GBP, when it would make 1450 GBP/month mining DOGE for ex. at this moment? Altruisam? Or You will "test" them for a month before? Maybe two months. Or three. And the delivery will be ethernal "two weeks". Anyhow I'll buy one. If you accept payment one month after delivery.

Payment and PM sent for 2. Thx.

Bitmain announced new prices for U1. If this reflects to our prices I would change my order to 2 instead of 1. luvpc?

I like the way you think sir! I just bought an Radeon HD 7850 2GB Next I'll be checking out motherboards. I have my eye on a few. Huh, missed a little bit. 7850 needs tweaking (undervolting) to became quiet and cool as natural 7790.

Shipping price is high for ordering only one for collection. And should be paid via PayPal... Two obstacles to sign in for only one. Any solution for these?

Being new to the bitcoin scene. What sort of hardware am I going to be looking to buy to have a steady flow 1-2 bitcoin a month? Currently I only have a 8800GT@ 28Mhash. I know I'll need much more than that, but I'd like to have a better idea of hardware I should be upgrading to. My whole PC honestly needs to be upgraded, but I figured start with the Vid card first.
Stay away of Bitcoin ASIC hardware. It's closed circle of permanent investment,... up to the point when You are multiplied with zero... I'm small hobby miner, and everything I earned mining scrypt with GPUs I spent on ASIC. And ASIC hardware is loosing value as difficulty increases, and that is fast and furious... My advice for You - small rig with 6 times 7790 (I believe You can power all of them with Your existing power supply) will give You quiet and cool 1.5 MHash/s scrypt mining speed. Using pools that are mining most profitable coin at moment (multipool, hashcows,...) will give You 0.8 BTC a month. Make them two for desired 1-2 BTC/month. That's now. If it keeps for next two months, You will return Your investment. Unless You start buying those small sexy ASIC miners...

Asus Radeon HD 7790 PCIe 3.0 x16 1GB GDDR5 Video Card Radeon HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card $129.98 ^^^^
If You would like to reach Your hashing nirvana with rigs close to You, You should choose 7790 cards. Less than 250 KHash/s, but... 50% fans, 50C, and around 50W according to GPU-z. Silent. Cool...

Very cool stuff.
Definitely interested in LTC and BTC as well.
Hybrid approach is very creative.
It would be, if it was produced one year ago. They missed BTC train, and additional scrypt power will not be enough to catch up. I would bet on solo scrypt ASIC, not on hybrid...

I just built a 7x5970 miner and installed Windows 8.1 to break the Win7 limitation of only 4 of the same card. But, I cannot get cgminer 3.7.2 to run with even one card plugged in. I've tried Catalyst 12.8, 13.1 and 13.9. When I launch cgminer it lists the pools and then maybe compiles the scrypt executable, or not, but just hangs, often freezing Win8.1 requiring a reboot. I've searched around and the references I've found imply how easy it is. Does anybody know what I should try or have a link to a good Windows 8.1 mining setup page TIA Latest GPU cgminer (3.7.2) and Win8 are stincky combo. I am able to start this mix at Samsung Ativbook6 only with --no-adl switch. Afterwards no control of the GPUs via cgminer. MSI Afterburner is taking from there. I would blame cgminer 3.7.2 because I also had problem when moving HD7790 that was happy mining from one computer to second one (both with Win7). Succeded to start mining on the second one only after copying working .bin file for the very same card from the first PC. You should try using old .bin files or start mining and generating .bin file with older version of cgminer and than use the latest GPU version...

Being spoiled from ultrafast reaction/realisation by flound of TXID info - proposing/asking: -I think e-mail notification of idle worker would raise average multipool hash capacity in some (small) percentage. Worth implementing? Thx.

Please post the following:
1) What program are you mining with? 2) What launch flags are you using (if any) when you launch your miner? 3) What does your config file look like for your mining program?

I know it's wrong timing with this question regarding pools are down etc, etc, but I think that under account/transaction list (bottom/down) I am missing transaction ID number. Transaction ID is missing also on the "all transactions" page (it is not all, the lists divided by type of coin - missing button "all coins" there). I need transaction IDs for making ticket toward Cryptsy, they are (again) messed up last 3 days... Anyone knows where to find transaction IDs? Thx.

Why remove anti-static bags?
AFAIK they are not insulator...
|
|
|
Heat and fire! Right now, my two rigs are simply layed out under a WOODEN table (with those anti-static bags below the mobo). The mobo's are raised slightly for air circulation. All GPU's are plugged directly into the mobo, no risers are being used at this time. The table/rigs are being fed cold, dry, canadian winter air... which is perfect. All GPU's run well under 75 degree's, dependning on the outside air temp.
Whatever You do in future, please get rid of anti-static bags under powered boards...

I tried to move my poor rig to multipool sha256, but it is not as expected. 5 USB erupters with only 1,65GHash/s after 15 minutes hashing BTC on multiport are reporting 8 accepted shares, 2 rejected and 8 hardware errors. Tried moving from eu to us server, tried changing user difficulty from 2 to 1 (cgminer 3.1.1 reports much higher difficulties), no change. Allmost all lines are "stratum from pool X requested work restart". Moving back until someone gives advice for setting small hash miners with sha256 multipool...

Huh, yesterday it was showing almost 300 on stock... Anyhow, I will wait for (much) better price to become available...
