281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I found my old wallets and .dat files...... on: January 07, 2018, 12:56:12 PM
I don't know how to insert an image...but i downloaded Doge coin wallet, replaced the .dat file...I can see the past transactions. But this thing has been syc'ing with the network for at least a day and it's stuck on 4 years 3 weeks. LoL, I guess that's when I used to mine.

I've accepted the fact that it's lost....no harm in seeing if I can recover anything though. Does this mean it might be recoverable??

Also, I have separate folders for the Doge/Vert coin so I know which .dat file is which (thankfully)...also I can see the Doge coin transactions. So I think I have a little luck on my side  Huh

Yeah, you might be lucky. Let it sync. For a long time.

Yes, You are lucky, DOGE is on the run now. If You would like to catch this run, You can try to find Your address balance at Doge block explorer web page and send it from wallet to exchange before complete sync. If it is not asking for password at that  point, You are really lucky, meaning You didn't encrypted wallet using password...
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: January 06, 2018, 06:18:59 PM
As i wrote i had several issues with the blue blinking LED's, this is gone without any change.

Now a new problem. I can ping the miner, it is working but i cannot acces it via browser and IP.

Only the baikal monitor shows it. Anyone same problems? Solutions?
try power off and on back the miner

I think many people have the problem, there is now fix out yet - Only miner off and on helps.

There is solution, make fix IP-address instead of DHCP. There is guide for doing it over SSH from one member here.

There is no solution for lower hashrate, i.e. lower number of chips per board.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 27, 2017, 07:58:03 AM

How did you manage to pay with btc? They would only accept wire transfers from me?

I understand what you are saying, but I think your logic is flawed. That's the same as saying you lost money because you purchased an airline ticket then the forex changed. Or you bought an altcoin that didn't rise as much as btc.

If the btc price had dropped to 1/2 the value it was when you paid, would you feel that you achieved ROI twice as fast? Maybe. But surely it's about the value to you at time of purchase?

Anyway, we can agree the delays were crap!  Cheesy

C.

Been among the first that ordered, so there was also BTC payment option (way faster and easier - finished in less than 2 hours). But I was among the last that received X10s. Suspicious that they have LIFO order system. Probably some nail they stab orders at. I spent my BTC ordering and had to exchange BTC/LTC for shipping, so I can't imagine not calculating ROI in crypto. BTW, mining revenue from X10s is again stacked in crypto, so why bother with fiat calculations at all?
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 26, 2017, 01:41:07 PM
First Batch X10 were close to 1100 USD and afterwards they were 1400 approx. Mining is not for everybody. Good for you that you didint order any Gaint-B. Otherwise we will be listening to your FUDs in Gaint-B threads. By the way I have ordered lots of Gaint-Bs. And I have made all my BTCs with Miners from Baikals since last year or so.
On the other hand i am little worried that you still didn't get your X10s from the 1st batch and shipping of 2 Batch miners is already started as far as i am reading the threads here. ARE YOU SURE YOU SEND YOUR BTC TO ACTUAL BAIKALMINER ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....
Yes, I got my first batch X10s. But when I expose my crypto purchase numbers, people paying with fiat are thinking I'm spreading FUD. Those are real numbers, not BS like "ROI in 2-3 weeks" w/o taking into account that INVESTMENT happened 3 months ago and without thinking what happened to crypto value during this period. Baikal messed up with X10 delay and no shill is able to cover it's mess.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 26, 2017, 07:45:50 AM

I paid what Baikal asked in BTC for first batch (1188$). 0.3BTC each. I don't even mention shipping expenses I paid in LTC. LTC raised 4-5 times in the meantime. Put customs expenses on top. And again: I was waiting for the unit for 3 months. Even if it can make 0.3BTC in a day, ROI would be more than 3 months. It will probably never make 0.3BTC. Not mentioning LTCs. Facepalm yourself in front of mirror, wake up and stop BS-ing about 2-3 weeks ROI.

So you complain, because BTC and LTC raised meanwhile? You should first decide if you want to mine or if you want to trade...

Would you also complain, when BTC and LTC has halfed their value since you paid the miners? I dont think so...

Anyway, the miner would make 0.3 Btc in about 1.5 months by todays stats. Still a good time for ROI. These stats may change, up or down, who knows. This is mining business... If you dont like it, you should only trade coins...

I complain about nonsense claims about "2-3 weeks ROI". And complaining about 2 months delay that shifted all calculations in red. One more nonsense is calculating 1.5 month ROI based only on todays (already yesterday) stats for unit that was paid 3 months ago. So in best (not possible) case ROI would be 4.5 months, not 1.5. I also trade coins. Yes, trading is much more green than "mining business".

If you are a person who always calculate the worth of everthing in BTC then, this mining business is not for you my friend, Just keep your BTC in your pocket and never spend them in your life. I have paid approx. 6.5 BTC for my X10 miners (At that time BTC  was way lower in USD about 7300 USD, and I bought these  for about 6300 USD each 1 week ago just to buy these Baikals X10). And you are crying about your 0.3 BTC. Until I read your post I was very happy that I had paid way less for these miners, now how can i sleep in night i should hang my self according to you. hahahahahhahahaha

I paid in BTC, how else should I calculate? And I paid 5.7 LTC for shipping 2 months upfront for only 2 pieces. I don't want to be the reason of Your hanging (over), but You should be little bit critical about Your past financial moves just not to make same errors again. For example, I'm not ordering Giant B.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 25, 2017, 04:44:53 PM

At this time, ROI is about 2-3 weeks. So what are you talking about?  Huh

So far there is no third batch anounced for January as far as i know.

I paid more than 0.3 BTC each. Just waiting for them was 3 months. Enlighten me how to go back in time and make 2-3 weeks ROI?

No idea what the exchange rate of BTC was when you was ordering them. Did you buy from a reseller?

That is the first fault much people are doing. NEVER, and i really mean NEVER, buy ASIC‘s from a reseller. If you missed a miner from manufacturer, dont buy it. Resellers often take three time higher prices if not even more. They dont have any risk... It is just unbelievable and stupid, what some people are paying for these miners to resellers. But as long as there are such stupid people, that pays 3 or 4 time higher prices then manufacturer price, the resellers will do that.

Considering the manufacturer price of batch two (1399 $) the ROI at the moment is about 2-3 weeks, like i said above. Together with the fact, that the miner is multialgo, there will be 2 more algos added and baikal is not flooding the market like Bitmain for example, this is the best miner out there at this time...

Looks really good, but with multialgo coins You can't be so sure with profitability calculators.

And again,.... You have no idea what You are talking about. Prices for expensive and luxury things here are HIGHER than in the countries with higher GDP.

LOL... And 'rich' which is a completely subjective term relates to how much money you have and make compared to your average money making countryman, not what you buy with it. You could buy 20 stocks of celery instead of barely being able to afford one and not be starving, depending on where you live that's 'rich' you silly goose. When you compare your buying power on a global scale you're no longer talking about being rich anymore and it was one of my original points. 'Rich' depends on where you live compared to the GDP per capita, which is why someone can claim to be rich, but isn't remotely rich when compared to the rest of the world.

Also I hear you can get things shipped pretty much anywhere. 'shipping is so expensive', look into a relay service. Solving basic problems for the affluent, you're welcome.

Also even if you live in a first world country, buying things like electronics for instance can be 'more expensive' then other countries simply due to demand, taxes, and where they're shipped. For instance buying GPUs in the US vs Germany or France or really anywhere in Euroland.

If You can feel "rich" because Your neighbor is starving, than You have some bigger problem in Your reality perception. From gaming perspective, I'm not sure about You, but I can't enjoy gaming on netbook, just because my surrounding can afford DIY abacus.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: December 10, 2017, 09:28:21 AM

lol this isn't open for debate, although cute that you think it is, you have to defend your third world brethren. The average person earn $10 per year in your country, if you earn $100 per year, you're earning 10x what they're earning, that would be considered 'rich' by comparison to people in their country. Same as if you earned $200,000 in the US compared to $20,000 per year you'd be considered pretty rich (although that depends on where you live in the US).

The whole 'rich' term is subjective. There is no baseline for 'rich'. You can live in Uganda and say you're rich because you're earning 100x the average citizens income, but that's still peanuts depending on where else you're living in the world.

And again,.... You have no idea what You are talking about. Prices for expensive and luxury things here are HIGHER than in the countries with higher GDP.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: December 08, 2017, 09:01:15 AM

Yup, just for fun. And no you don't, but what is considered 'rich' goes down as the GDP per capita decreases.

I'm living in country with shitty GDP and I can only tell You that You have no idea what You're talking about.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 08, 2017, 08:37:35 AM
Seems to be that testing before shipping of X10s is over. Finally tracking number.

Only problem for me is that voltage control is not working with the Blockchain driver and OverdriveNTool.  MSI Afterburner works however.
I tried the softpowerplay mod but it does something weird where power states keep disappearing when I set clocks/voltages to what I want (ie. on reboot the highest power state disappears, then if I change the next highest one, that disappears on reboot as well).  Anyone have OverdriveNTool or softpowerplay working properly with the blockchain drivers?

Yes. OverdriveNTool + Softpowerplay made by it + Win10 + Official AMD BC drivers + Vega56 stock BIOS + some massive downvolt:

EDIT: GPU0 is 470 leftover that should be moved out...
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: December 03, 2017, 10:08:09 PM

Of course. I expect Your next move to be fixing another car on top of Your car so You can drive 10 persons.

Please at least attempt to contribute to the conversation.

Attempt was in the way of comparing with things You can easy understand. Because You have no clue about Ohm's law...
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: December 02, 2017, 09:38:22 AM

Don't worry we all will get, just have patience. Baikal is trust worthy

Baikal WAS trustworthy till the moment of delaying to ship for months.

Please beat this dead horse for me..
I bought a Y-Splitter, 8-Pin pcie to 2x 8-pin pcie.

https://www.amazon.de/adaptare-35118-Grafikkarte-Stromkabel-8-pin-PCIe-Stecker-Stecker/dp/B01N5JJ7DD
If that link gets taken down, search B01N5JJ7DD on amazon.de

No, I'm not advertising, I just want to be clear about my cables, because the whole .

Is it the PSU that will be causing problems or the connections on the cable that I've got?  (or am I fine?)

I imagine that the problem would lie with the connection at the PSU end (where there is up to 250W going through those small wires), am I wrong?  What's wrong with my thinking that a more quality Y-Splitter would be able to handle the wattage?

PS I've been mining about a week with two of these cables for 2 cards, and the other 2 cards using 2 separate cables each which came with the PSU (2x 8-pin to 8-pin).  Am I playing with fire?

Of course. I expect Your next move to be fixing another car on top of Your car so You can drive 10 persons.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Miner Hardware and Software Problems on: November 27, 2017, 02:52:20 PM
I will tell you the problems about Baikal miners.
Actually, there is no any problem on Baikal miners but I see some problems.
Well if you have any similiar problem, there is no any solution. The Baikal maybe find a solution.

There is no problem. But there is problem. Baikal maybe find solution. But no solution.
Man, You became pathetic with Your unconditional Baikal love...
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX VEGA and RX 470/480 Very bad hashrate on: November 25, 2017, 07:18:27 AM
Hello,

I have a RIG with a RX VEGA 56 and other 7 GPU (RX470 and RX480), when I run all toghether with Cryptonigh I have jus 800 H/s on VEGA, but in other PC just with 1 GPU RX VEGA the hasrate is 1950 H/s why this different behaviour ?

To clarify what the previous poster mentioned, you will have to use 2 separate miners.

1 miner specifically for your 470/480 cards
1 miner specifically for your VEGA 56

For the 470/480 cards you can use claymore's cryptonight miner
For the VEGA 56 you can use Cast XMR

I  have use two different miner Cast XMR for Vega and XMR-stak for other RX but I had the same result !

then on  Radeon tool I can't set the HBCC, just enable and is not possible select the amount of memory that now is fix at 9GB while previous was 15GB.

I think is not possible use both card on same rig, anyone have this mix card RIG working correctly ?

I have mixed 1 x RX570 and 2 x Vega 56 working perfect with one instance of Cast.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL Giant X10 brief introduction --first batch start delivery today 15th on: November 23, 2017, 06:52:51 AM
Well, today 15-th is relative term. Because they didn't stated what month and what year in the subject.
And this is the Baikal way of sending waybill:

"Hi,

Always thankful for your support on Baikal.

I am really sorry to inform you, according to the latest response from Goods-shipping department, The delivery of part of first batch order will have some delay based on current daily delivery rate. They offered us an estimated time for Delivery All miners out is before 11th Dec.

Apologize again for all the inconvenient. If you consider the delay is unacceptable, I could try to apply full fund return of this batch for you.

Thank you for your understanding.

Baikal miner

Our cutting-edge technology creates a brighter future for you!" (AND EVEN BRIGHTER FOR US)

This is application for negative trust. Well done.
