Bitcoin was mentioned in the last series of Scorpion!! This is a series that is on USA once a week. The bad guy in this episode wanted a quarter billion dollars in BTC!! He sadly did not get it, but that was his issue, I am just glad they mentioned it.

I don't see why private and public blockchains can't coexist. Private blockchains are just a centralized method of exchange which is cheaper and more efficient than current centralized methods, and public blockchains are a new decentralized method of exchange. Why can't we have both?

Agreeing to do "something" is an easy business development step to take. Like any small startup, we have bandwidth limits to move these "partnerships" into real projects and contracts. That said, we are moving many of them along this path. We would love to have more information about where those announced partnerships stand at this point. Yes, at this rate, BCY price will rise considerably even without extra demand.
I'm not sure why the price would rise as long as EDS is selling their BCY in a swapbot instead of on an exchange. If someone wants to buy a lot of BCY, they will do so via the swapbot and not move the price at all. Without the swapbot, that buy would take place on an exchange and the market would decide how high the price should go as a result. Under these conditions, the price can fall but not rise. Nonsense. Anyone who understands even the basics of how a market works knows it is not nonsense. EDS have the right to sell their BCY from anywhere.
No kidding. Who said they don't? And the price effect it will be the same in the medium period. In my opinion swapbots and special deal (eg. Black Fridays Deals) have less negative impact than a direct selling on poloniex.
Then you have no idea how a market works. So probably EDS have to wait some months before start selling their BCY stockpile (not only BCY earned whit crads but also the 30 million bcy reserved).
Their "stockpile" is for sale on their swapbot now and even gigantic buys there will not move the price at all. |

The observation of the OP is the price /BTC dropping for many alts as BTC has gone up, rather than participating in the price rise. This happened during the previous BTC pump as well, and again with this one.
Which coins did you notice doing this last time? The ones I was holding all skyrocketed (in terms of /BTC) along with USD/BTC back then. Litecoin, Peercoin, Namecoin, and more (all from memory though). |

There is no reason placing a sell wall on Poloniex would crash the market. In fact, all of that volume would stimulate the market. But there will be an extremely big sell wall that cripple price advances till filled. I believe a swapbot is the best way to go. Just like BCY in the swapbot has to be refilled periodically, the sell wall could be relatively small and periodically refreshed at a slightly higher price. |
