281  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wow... IT's not good choice to use bitmex margin trading... on: February 04, 2018, 03:01:02 PM
it's incredible how easier is to lose everything on bitmex than doing some gain.
I've done 5 testnet trades and I lost everything in 4 out of 5.

and, very bad thing, when the last futures expired I wanted to place a long position, and right in that moment "system overloaded could not process order"...

I think it's impossible to place an order every time there is a clear market movement
282  Economy / Exchanges / CEX.IO verification or not? on: February 03, 2018, 02:44:38 PM
Hi all,

on the limits page https://cex.io/finance/limits-commissions#/direction/withdrawal  I see I can deposit and withdraw from/cto card with basic (not verified) profile.

But If I try to add a card, they want id, selfie, dna sample, retina scan, half of my finger.

What's wrong? How can I withdraw or deposit with no verification?
283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Struggles of Advcash, there is Epayments as a good alternative (mastercard) on: February 02, 2018, 04:02:12 PM
I've never understood the sense of payments with a timer (also advcash had one)
What if I send a payment and no block is mined in 50 minutes? It has just happened on BTC blockchain.
284  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO is could be SCAM [IMPORTANT] on: February 02, 2018, 10:28:30 AM
Just curious,

how does the withdraw to cc work? How do you check received credit? Do you go on credit card web site to check balance and you see you have more than usual plafond?

thanks

p.s.: i am talking of real credit cards, not prepaid cards
285  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: February 02, 2018, 09:11:44 AM
my account has been verified in 2 days, very fast . i think i will order the card. How did you pay for the card if you are not verified ?

The not verified users have low limits, but they still can spend some USD.
However, I want to bring this up again: AdvCash cards in Europe were Wavecrest Mastercard. Because of Wavecrest problems, these cards cannot be funded anymore and will be closed in February 27.
So if you are from Europe, AdvCash is not for you these days, like most other Bitcoin card providers.
If you are outside Europe, you better ask their support first.

Also keep in mind that if you want to order their card anyway when they'll work again, you can get their first week 5$ offer, since they promised they'll send the new cards for free as soon as they make a deal with another card provider.

advcash for outside EU was blocked 2 weeks before EU...
286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: February 01, 2018, 04:57:03 PM
With all those problems in finding a reliable crypto debit card, I am starting to ask myself why I don't simply use coinbase to send money to my bank account.
Probably because very soon my bank would call me on the phone, and because I have not great ATM limits with standard bank cards.

what you think? What are your rearons?

that is my afraid too.. that when i need it to transfer big amounts to my coinbase linked bank account, my bank starts to ask questions about that money and even block-it for further analisis, just because they can do that!

Thats why i use mistertango to spend my "miner earnings" and let the FIAT from my salary un-touched for months!

looks like sometimes there is someone who understands what i mean.

advcash was limited in early january for not sepa users, if I rember well, after that there have been 20 days working for SEPA users, then stop also for SEPA.

i just wanted to say that mistertango could follow the same path (hope for no)
289  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: January 31, 2018, 11:53:50 PM
keep calm, mistertango is Wirecard!!! i think its solid for EU!! used today again and it works!

yes advcash has worked very well for 20 days after the out-eu limitation...
290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card, NOT provided by Wave Crest Holdings Ltd. (MyChoice) on: January 31, 2018, 10:24:00 PM
Quote: "You can't send Bitcoins to Revolut and withdraw cash from ATM.And you can't send cash and withdraw to Bitcoins."

-- Yes, I think what most people do is sell their BTC on gdax, then SEPA transfer euros to the Revolut, then either spend or withdraw to their normal bank account.  It's supposed to provide the interbank exchange rate for EUR to GBP for example.

Are there any debit cards that allow you to send your own BTC and load it to the card, then spend in stores, or withdraw cash at ATMs?  I think Spectrocoin (Bankera) may do this - How do their fees compare to other cards?  - https://spectrocoin.com/en/bitcoin-debit-card.html

I think an ideal card shouldn't charge for ATM withdrawals or POS transactions, and ideally there should be no limits on withdrawals or transactions.

If I understood well your question Mistertango is the card you are looking for. You can load it with Bitcoins from your own wallet, exchanger or something, it's exchanged to fiat currency immediately and then you can spend it in stores and on ATM. But still there is limit for monthly ATM withdrawal.

...and they probably quit the card very soon...
291  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: January 31, 2018, 10:15:32 PM
As i said the whole time, and this is proven now - no company in the world who has license to create mastercards/visa/any plastic, will ever be involved with crypto again. Unless their company focus more on crypto than on fx. swift/wire.

Not true! Mistertango and Wagecan still offer cards with crypto connection. And even Viabuy can be loadet by Bitcoin at the moment.

Btw

Dear Mistertango users,

We have some really bad news for you...
Due to the new regulations of "Mastercard" we can't issue card services for clients located outside Europe.
From the 2018-02-01 all "Mistertango" issued cards for non-EU clients will be disabled.
We are working hard to find new worldwide solution as fast as possible.
You will be still able to use your "Mistertango" account to receive and send SEPA and SWIFT transfers.

We are really sorry about this issue!

Sincerely,
Mistertango

ok this is the proof i was talking yesterday and I hoped not to find.
I assume ban for EU customers will follow... and another useless piece of plastic will be delivered to my home (and more important, another company around the world has all my personal data and id documents, for no reason at all. )

because of bitcoins I had to send my ID cards in so many places that I would be surprised if still there is not an hacker around the world making bad use of them
292  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 100USDT to withdraw USDT from HitBTC on: January 29, 2018, 10:17:06 PM
Did you read my message?

HitBTC has a 4x Poloniex fee to withdraw (100 vs 25), and 25 vs zero to DEPOSIT (no exchange has deposit fees, Hitbtc has...)
293  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: January 29, 2018, 09:24:45 PM
Again, even if your theory is fascinating, it has no physical proof.

If we had 2 providers dealing with crypto, and both shut down, we could say "it's crypto" But as far as we know, only wavecrest has been shut down.

So the problem is perhaps more if there will be another provider so big to issue so many cards.

If mistertango will close its mastercard program, we'll have probably the definitive proof that there is a war against cryptos
294  Economy / Exchanges / 100USDT to withdraw USDT from HitBTC on: January 29, 2018, 09:17:05 PM
This is only the last ridicolous fee I got aware of.

it's so ridicolous that it's starting to be funny.

P.s.: they also have a DEPOSIT fee of 25USDT.

probably they are trying to earn back coins hacked?
295  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: January 29, 2018, 04:40:59 PM
First of all, I must clarify I am basically pessimistic like you and sadly I agree with the "war theory"

But, I also wanted to point out that visa told not to be in war against cryptos but against wavecrest violations.

In another declaration they told "to have other business currently working and involved with cryptocurrencies"

at the current stage, the "war theory" is only an hypothesis.
296  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: January 29, 2018, 02:17:14 PM
I've searched around some information on the wavecrest shutdown, and found a couple of articles with visa declaration that it was not an actions agains cryptos:

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/05/some-cryptocurrency-backed-cards-dropped-from-visa-network.html  (last part)

let's keep fingers crossed.
297  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Mistertango.com - Lithuania - IBAN bank account EUR - Bitcoin friendly on: January 29, 2018, 01:26:54 PM
can you keep some bitcoin "unconverted" on their exchange and decide to convert only when you need it?
Yes. Just login to the exchange and use the address shown there.

great news!
So I can exchange BTC on rate shown in order book, and then i have immediately available on debit card balance?
298  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Mistertango.com - Lithuania - IBAN bank account EUR - Bitcoin friendly on: January 29, 2018, 10:04:06 AM
Mistertango does have a BTC deposit feature that is connected to their exchange (only EUR is deposited on the bank account). It conviniently allows you to deposit BTC to an address and have EUR in your bank account the moment it's sold. What I take issue with that feature is the fact that it is set to charge a minimum fee of 0.0025 BTC which these days has become too large in value due to the rise in bitcoin's price.

can you keep some bitcoin "unconverted" on their exchange and decide to convert only when you need it?
299  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Mistertango.com - Lithuania - IBAN bank account EUR - Bitcoin friendly on: January 29, 2018, 10:02:02 AM
How long after sign up the card is shipped?

thanks
300  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Monaco the best card actually? on: January 28, 2018, 11:48:26 PM
A bit confusing message,

but, anyway, I know their program is not ready to ship cards.

But you don't have to hold monaco coins, if you don't want metal limited edition cards.
