that's some thing new but I wouldn't join coz it is not for binance , all of my funds are in binance also many other peoples fund , would join if you add binace in future , thanks!

Thank you for the feedback. We have considered adding Binance, however we've decided at this time to not support exchanges that aren't located in the United States. Since we are currently located in the US, we believe there will be regulations in the near future that may challenge our offerings if we expand to those exchanges that don't abide by the same regulations as the US. This may change of course, but unfortunately at this time this is what we have decided. I will make a follow up post if we change our minds.

Thanks,
Shrimpy Team

well , why didn't you move your servers to some more comfortable county for that case?
bittrex is getting tough abit to its users and removing a lot of its altcoins!
Don't know what it wants to do next!

Since we are a US company and our target market is the US, we want to make sure we abide by the regulations that will be put in place. We would rather not take shortcuts during the early stages that will harm our brand in the long run. I believe Bittrex is removing coins for good reason. Many of these altcoins are borderline scams. If they aren't purged from exchanges, it will be hard to move forward with public adoption. They also may be regarded as securities by the SEC, which would force Bittrex to remove them in the future anyway if they wanted to allow unaccredited investors to continue trading.

Quick question, why would you need a bot to monitor your investments if your holding? You can just check your balances on the site.  Furthermore, is the bot open source? because I dont think anybody is gonna download it if its not.  Im not saying your a scammer but its hard to trust things like this especially when it involves logging into your trading accounts.
At least take a look at the website before making a post :/

There is no file to download. Everything is made in the website. About the holding question, the website is more like a portfolio. Just because you are holdling doesn't mean that you don't want to see how is your investment going. And you just need the read-only API key from the exchange to monitor your investments.

OP: I know that 2FA is important, but please don't make everybody enable it while creating an account.

Thank you for the question! Also, thanks for responding TryNinja. You are correct. There is nothing you need to download. Also, we have a history of providing other free applications, so it's easy to see what we have absolutely no complaints so far about the products we've created. For example, our auto trading bot "Crabby" was our last product that people are still using today.

Also, I can add more information about the core feature this bot provides. The automated rebalance. I will preface by saying I understand the traditional idea is that if you are holding, you don't make trades. We challenge this idea by introducing rebalancing into the crypto space. Rebalancing is a way you can actually boost your gains without having to add any additional work.

Last year, rebalancing performed 53% better than buy and hold after exchange fees. No extra effort, no additional risk, and no paid for software.

If you want more information about rebalancing, we have a blog post you should check out here:

Hi Everyone,

We have been making some small adjustments to the application and will be updating the website with some more information. Also, if you would like to see a quick demo of the application, we have uploaded a brief video to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Shrimpy-155583295172145/.

Since we got a couple of questions for clarification, I will try to answer a few of those questions.

How much does the application cost?
It is completely free, there is no fees or cost to download or use the application.

Do I make deposits through the Shrimpy application?
No, Shrimpy interfaces directly with exchanges. Currently we support Bittrex and Poloniex (we are looking into adding additional exchanges). You must make deposits through these exchanges and then input your API keys into Shrimpy. After you do this, you will be able to see your balance in Shrimpy and balance your portfolio through the application.

What is portfolio rebalancing?
Rebalancing is a strategy which is used to readjust the weightings of a portfolio. By periodically buying or selling coins in the portfolio, the original coin percents for each allocation is maintained. For example, say the original target coin allocation was 50% BTC and 50% ETH. If Bitcoin performed well during the period, it could have increased it's coin weight in the portfolio to 70%. In order to get the portfolio back to the original balance of 50% BTC and 50% ETH, 20% of the BTC holdings will be traded for ETH.

Do I need to set a rebalancing period?
No, you are not required to set a rebalancing period. You are welcome to use the application without rebalancing. It is also reasonable to use the rebalance button on the application to rebalance whenever you feel it is necessary. When you click the button that is in the middle of the allocation wheel, it will balance your portfolio immediately.

Can I see my balance in BTC instead of USDT?
Yes, in order to switch between seeing your portfolio in USDT and BTC, simply click the value you see at the top of your screen to toggle between USDT and BTC. This will change all of the values and percentages in the app to reference BTC instead of USDT. The application defaults to USDT.

Please let us know what you think of the application, we would love to hear your feedback. Also, if there are any features you would like to see, we would be happy to discuss those options!

Thanks,
The Shrimpy Team
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 20, 2018, 04:58:28 AM
There are a lot of great strategies, however I've found the best strategy for me was a simple balancing strategy. Basically, I would research a diverse set of coins and then simply trade between them to maintain a balanced portfolio.

If you are interested, my team actually just released a simple application to help anyone do this very easily. You can download the application for free at http://shrimpy.io/.

Let me know what you think if you try it out. It currently works with Poloniex and Bittrex, but we will continue to add more exchanges.
194  Bitcoin / Project Development / Introducing Shrimpy - The easiest way to diversify your portfolio on: January 20, 2018, 04:33:35 AM
Hi Everyone,

Our team is back with another application we would like to share with you. We got some great feedback from the release of the free Crabby trading bot. If you haven't gotten a chance to check it out, you can find it at http://crabby.io/.

One of the most important things we noticed when developing the trading bot application was the high barrier to entry. Many users thought it was confusing at times and too much work to maintain their strategies. We came to understand that many users want something that is both easy to use and understand. This lead to the development of Shrimpy which is essentially an abbreviated version of Crabby with only one strategy. This is the auto rebalancing strategy. Simply select which coins you would like to have in your portfolio, indicate what percentage of each coin you want to maintain, and input how frequently you want your portfolio to rebalance. The application will do the rest for you. It's as easy as that.

You can download the application at http://shrimpy.io/.

Please let us know if you have any comments or questions. We are looking forward to continuing development on Shrimpy and expanding the functionality.

Happy Investing,

The Shrimpy Team
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the price going lower? on: January 20, 2018, 04:16:42 AM
Nobody knows and you shouldn't trust anyone who says otherwise. It is literally not possible to know if the price will go up or down. If it was a certain thing, nobody would be on these forums because everyone would be out spending their billions of dollars they made from their ability to predict 100% of market trends.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it sustainable? on: January 20, 2018, 03:50:04 AM
GTFO mate, everybody knows the answer in here, how many times are people's going to ask if bitcoin is a bubble or not? Came on, if you do not trust on it, JUST DO NOT INVEST.

It is simple as that, if you do not believe -> leave this forum.

On the sustainability question, bitcoin is a pure bubble, an asset without intrinsic value — its price will fall to zero if trust vanishes.

I don't think this is the right attitude to have. You shouldn't dismiss every person who doubts by pushing them out. You should try having a civil discussion instead and maybe help someone change their mind. Not to mention, it doesn't help the market if everyone blindly believes they aren't in a bubble. Challenging these opinions with facts is the only way out. If there are no facts, then maybe you should start believing we are in a bubble.

On the sustainability question, bitcoin is a pure bubble, an asset without intrinsic value — its price will fall to zero if trust vanishes.

The issue with the intrinsic value argument, which many people make, is that nothing has intrinsic value. There is not a thing in this universe that has intrinsic value. Anything we say has value was determined by humans in reference to ourselves. If you think about it this way, Bitcoin actually does have intrinsic value, because people benefit from it. It has revolutionized an industry, it is a safe way to send something from one person to another, it's the first successful decentralized payment method, and if it continues to gain adoption it may be considered a currency. I don't know about you, but that is value. Whether the price will go up or down, I don't know. However, I do know it has value.
198  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How much would a development of a crypto lending platform cost? on: January 20, 2018, 12:42:47 AM
You can get an idea from their ICO. They raised about $16M USD during their ICO. However, it is likely that they raised a round of seed funding before the ICO in order to pay for advertising, designers, and preliminary development. My bet would be they probably spent as much as a few hundred thousand before the ICO, and several hundred thousand since the ICO. They have 8 members listed on their crunchbase profile. If they have been all working for about 6 to 8 months on the development so far, this would probably be about a million dollars total so far. This is of course a guess based on the information we have available.

It sounds like you don't have anything yet. Where can I find your resume, website, and white paper? I think we need more information than what you gave.
200  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Backend Developer | Frontend Developer-New Project-Crypto/Bitcoin Dice Website on: December 30, 2017, 04:41:04 AM
You will need a bigger budget. You are asking someone to come in and do all of the investigation, design, and development to create an entire website from scratch. Just for a good designer that would be $15 - 25k. Then the actual development would be another $25k - 30k on top of that easy.
