382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sending fees... are you serious? on: December 16, 2017, 03:51:32 AM
I haven't sent btc in a while.  Back when i sent btc, fees were less than 50 cents.  Maybe 3 dollars?  I went and tried to send less than 30 dollars of btc... fees show up as 12 dollars on electrum and thats with the lowest possible fee where i make it send within 25 blocks.  Now if you want to send under 1 dollar, it cost 12 dollars.  When is this issue getting fixed?  Who in their right mind would send btc for small amounts when even the fee is that much?  Its like paying 12 dollars for something you want to buy that is 1 dollar?

Exactly since the bitcoin price rise up fees are ridiculouly expensive. This is the reason why an everyday crypto users are switching to altcoin to avoid the fees of bitcoin.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful, bitcoin will correct on: December 15, 2017, 12:43:25 AM
If not now, eventually.

The price is over inflated, that value has to come from somewhere. The overall economies don't just create value out of nowhere, they move it around.
If the market swells so as we have learnt from the past there will always be a correction to find market equilibrium.

I'm warning you now, as a friend. Don't be caught out when it corrects.
Draw down your stake. Leave some in it if you really want but trust be its better to be safe than sorry as it will correct and when it does if you're not prepared you will loss heavily.

Bitcoin has helped to spread wealth to those who believe in and support new technology. It is time to take that money and invest it in developments elsewhere while we still have the chance.

Yes I believe that there will be a major correction sooner or later and it can be huge. On any market pullback always happen. The question is how fast Bitcoin will recover after a major pullback. If we are going to base it on history Bitcoin always recover right away.
384  Economy / Speculation / Re: YOU ARE ALL STUPID - SELL NOW on: December 14, 2017, 12:52:47 AM
Good God, I've had enough. You will all lose your shirts when bitcoin hits the markets. You are not smarter than the big boys that run the financial industry.

SELL NOW YOU BLIND SHEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, Wow we should listen to this expert, He is really concern about our investment and most likely care about us. look at his effort he created an account to bash Bitcoin.

385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stabilizing At $20K on: December 14, 2017, 12:43:22 AM
I would say today that 10kUSD is mostly a sure thing and we will most probably never see again price below that level.

Falling back to levels below $10,000 isn't very likely, but it's something we can't just so easily discard. If we look at similar predictions that the market would never fall below a certain level again, where each time it went below these levels, it proves that no price level is safe in times of total panic. On top of that, in this market sell-offs get greatly exaggerated, so with that in mind, I won't rule out another visit below the $10,000 level. But even if we do fall slightly below the $10,000 level, it still means that we're more than 800% up this year, which is pretty insane if you think about it -- it perfectly shows how much growth we have experienced.

Yes I do not think that Bitcoin price will drop below $10,000 but if this happen weak hands will definitely sell their bitcoin thus the price will go even deeper and that could be a start of a crash. Losing around 40% to 50% of it's current value will be a disaster regardless of the gain it has this year. Well I hope this will not happen.
386  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Rising or Falling? on: December 13, 2017, 01:13:16 AM
Friends,
Try to literally understand the depth of my words as to what I tried to say here. This is not a speculative topic at all, so all those speculators please stay away from this thread.

The issues we were undergoing with the holy spike in the value of Bitcoins as well as its demand that grew so hard that it became unavailable for the network to welcome the newcomers as well as their transactions - SCALABILITY OF BITCOINS.

Are we near to a new era or an end? We put our trust and support Bitcoins just because we are able to transact freely any time and from anywhere.

But I guess it's not the same anymore, even after the SegWit, things have just stabilized quite a bit but I really don't think that if it goes the same way, we will be able to cope up with the demand that will surge highly after the whole world's ends meet and decide to start using Bitcoins at an extremely wider pace. Let's talk about the fees - we were never ought to spend more than a buck before when it used to be 500 - 1k a coin (I really don't have any problems with the price rise as it's for the good of Bitcoins anyways), but after the spike, we are only seeing the fees rise and sometimes we even need to pay the whole amount of fee, sometimes even higher than the total transaction amount that's being sent. And the worst thing - even though after paying those high fees, we still don't get results as expected, we don't get our transactions taken in those blocks that just come and go and we just keep calm and wait harder and patiently that next one will take it, and repeat the same after the next one also ignores our transaction.

Don't you think this should not be the scene with Bitcoins? I am not in support of any so-called hard forks and will probably never be.
I just want Bitcoin to gain its image back as it used to have - Cheap and quick. Cheap - for transactions part and Quick - for confirmations.

I don't know what initiative is to be taken, but I really care for Bitcoins because it took care of everyone.

Scalability is not an issue if BTC is used as an asset.   Just like gold it has its place in spite of its lack of practical daily use.

Well Bitcoin is a currency and can be used to buy almost anything in the internet, while gold is really an asset  but as a mode of payment nobody accepts it.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late, to invest? on: December 13, 2017, 01:02:13 AM
Hey guys.

Newbie to the forum here... :3

I've been wanting to invest in Bitcoin since the 3k$ mark. But I just haven't had the time, yes I know it was a big mistake waiting...
But I have about 4000$ to invest into Bitcoin (It's currently sitting with shares, will take a few days to pull out), I was wondering is it too late to invest it? Will it still grow? Will we see a big drop/crash soon?
My shares barely profit, if I make a few $$,$$$'s from Bitcoin, I would be more than happy since it would be doing better than my shares my advisor put me on.

I'm happy with Bitcoin, alt coins are too unstable for me in my opinion, and they have a much higher risk than Bitcoin.
Is it too late to invest?

Since you already have an investment in stocks you should be familiar with the risk involve in investing but in my opinion, if you are asking if you are late i do not think so Bitcoin has a lot of room to grow more I am still buying it at current price range. I also have investment in stocks and I know the profit is slow, If you are wondering when will it crash well nobody knows that for sure but I think it will not happen in the near future.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: December 12, 2017, 03:45:04 AM
We are entering in the new type of economy where price predictions are not possible any more because productivity and prosperity of humanity will rise to the new golden age level. Bitcoin will go to 1 million dollars in 2018 and is being used by central banks as a global stardard ledger - dollar will fade slowly those who buy now will become the new wealthy elite.

I agree on some your point. It is really hard to predict the price of Bitcoin and also yes you maybe right as well that we are getting into a new type of economy but Bitcoin reaching a million next year is doubtful. Also I think bank will still want control and adapting Bitcoin will not happen. Fiat may slowly go but also not next year.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ? on: December 12, 2017, 03:41:58 AM
as we know so many reason to make controversial bit coin currency in practical or real media sanitation. if  we observe very carefully  few past few years we have seen that  criminal activities  or occurrence  are occurred by the help of hackers and trader make it famous moving thousand of dollars outside by cheating  with government law enforcement for that reason value of bitcoin increasing very high. even they make money away from center bank and government unable to hold money from general people and through this process people convert this money into different things. i think this is enough for making controversial and what do you think about my think ?

The reason it makes it controversial is that its value is so volatile. What makes it scary is the fact that prices have a sudden surge of increases and decreases.  A man with so little to invest, invest it all then all of a sudden the price drops... uh huh, it really hurts, but then this is not to scare them but to invest, you must have the guts and put it all in.  This is what successful businessman do.... it is to make it or break it...

This is right, specially now that bitcoin price high  has sky rocketed to almost $18,000. Good or bad Bitcoin is all over the business news as some bitcoin haters are shock that it reach 18k in just a few days and for that alone  seems controversial.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your mentality after a huge loss? on: December 11, 2017, 12:54:53 AM
What do you do after you suffer a huge loss?
If you have more money would you again take the risk and invest or would you just stop trading and try to earn in some other way?

As a trader in stocks and forex i have lost many trades and some of them are huge.  Usually what I do is check if my monthly trade is still winning. You may also have a losing streak but as long as you trust your strategy in the end you will still earn some profit.

You may want to check on how to trade like a casino in you tube and you may tweak it a little to fit in cryptocurrency trading.

391  Economy / Economics / Re: Central of the Philippines Recognizes Bitcoin on: December 10, 2017, 01:48:53 AM
http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/02/08/philippines-bangko-sentral-recognizes-bitcoin-payment-system/

According to this article the Philippines’ Bangko Sentral Recognizes Bitcoin as Payment System. The article also added that Bangko Sentral states  sees the virtual currency’s potential to revolutionize the delivery of financial services. Additionally, they also mention how bitcoin provides financial inclusion, which is something traditional financial solutions have been unable to provide. This statements coming from the Central Banks of the Philippines will give a potential impact on the rise of bitcoins value on the market. And not only that, the Philippine Central Bank is not the only bank that sees the merits of bitcoin but also the the Central Bank of Nigeria.

You may also expect that the philippine government will impose taxes on bitcoin and thats the only con i can think of but Any government that reconize bitcoin  is good because it will build confidece for people to invest in bitcoin. I hope more government follow this recognition.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: ♨♨♨ Bitcoin DOWN OVER 12% today!! ♨♨♨ on: December 10, 2017, 01:40:50 AM
Crash no but of course there will be some correction in the price. Also short term traders are cashing their profit now. Just hold your bitcoin because i am sure that we will reach $20,000 in the next wave.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late for Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2017, 12:23:08 AM
For me it is late because we should have invested when it was $.001 but it does not mean that you should not buy bitcoin. As my insurance agent once said the best time to invest is ten years ago the second best is now. Regardless of the price of BTC today if you think that it will rise more invest on it.
394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: December 07, 2017, 12:57:58 AM
There are many people who lost their money on trading, because trading is unpredictable job, in my opinion i need:
Method ( i must have system trading)
Money ( i must have management of money and risk)
Mind ( i must can control my emotion)
Tell me your opinions?

If anyone think that trading is easy then he must be crazy or never traded at all. It does not matter how many money you got if you are a bad trader you will just lose all that money.

The 3M's you point out are very important specially controlling the emotions.

396  Economy / Economics / Re: One Bitcoin, $10,000. Ten Thousand Dollars. on: December 06, 2017, 12:18:29 AM
Personally I'm a little surprised it hasn't slowed down yet!

First it broke the $10,000 barrier, then $11,000 and now it's heading toward $12,000

Where will it be by the end of the year?

Me too I really thought that after the $10,000 price there will be a slight correction and accumulation but did not happened. We simply break the $11,000 price right away. I guess the news that Bitcoin will be listed next year in wall street is one of the factor why price keeps rising.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: December 06, 2017, 12:13:42 AM
Can you really be sure you will profit unless you have insider info?

No, you cannot be sure but it does not mean you cannot gain a profit. Trading is risky and that is why on everything there are fundamentals and technical analysis. In a way yes it is an educated guessing, but you can make the odds better if you know what you are doing.

398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting trade with small amount on: December 05, 2017, 12:13:02 AM
How to start a trade with small amount?
I am not a millionaire.I have jaust some money.I want to trade with my small amount.can I do this? Then how?

Of course you can. There are some sites that you can start trading as low as $20. But trading with a very small amount will just bore you since the profit will be very low. What you can do is trade first on a demo account and instead save the money you want to trade until you can afford to put a bigger investment to trade.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: December 04, 2017, 05:50:07 AM
In the future it is really necessary to include lectures and lessons on the general concepts of the functioning of the crypto currency in schools, colleges and other educational institutions so that people have a general idea of the crypto currency and did not consider this to be some kind of scam. At the moment, the necessary information about the crypto currency is not enough, especially one that would be presented in a clear and accessible form.

As of now many financial experts considers bitcoin or crypto as a scam. I can assure you that this will change specially it is going to be listed in wall street. I remember in my business classes they actually explain what stock market is. I hope in the future they will consider crypto trading and also educate young people about our market.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: shopping with BTC on: December 04, 2017, 03:43:25 AM
If we buy stuff with BTCand the company just sells it for cash right away, it's probably not good for the BTCprice.

What do you think?  Will shopping with BTC be good or bad for BTC?

Definitely bad. The online store that sells stuff with bitcoin will trade it instantly for cash and it may cause of falling of the bitcoin price.

I think this is not true. Everytime that a site will sell there are buyers. What if the buyers just hold the coin and wait for the right time to sell it.
