283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will be at $50,000 on: February 05, 2018, 09:45:09 AM
Truly i hope you are correct although i have my doubts that we will reach $50,000 this year but i am positive that we will still have an uptrend before this year end.
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto trading on: February 05, 2018, 09:39:00 AM
Thanks a lot for your answers guys. My main way to work in sports trading was the scalping, you probably use also this term in crypto trading, and i see that you can do it here because the prices are always fluctuating. But the thing is that i in sports trading had a match to watch, and i had validated methods that made me know that certain odd was going to drop according to what i was seeing in the match. But here in crypto how do i know that certain coin price is going to rise? How can i understand the market?

Since you are not new to trading and as you said you are a scalper the  there is a lot of opportunities for you here im the crypto market as you can see in some charts there are huge swings. I think you have a solid technical analysis since you profit from scalping. I guess you just need to familiarize yourself with the coins. You may go to the altcoins section as there are thousands of coins posted there.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in bitcoin if you don't know anything about it on: February 04, 2018, 08:03:08 AM
This is right on the spot. There are so many people who just invest without knowing a thing or two. They just invest because they follow the hype. My number one rule in investing is knowing what you are getting into. Also they should understand the risk in investing in crypto currency. Those people you are talking about are the ones who are posting right now that they do not know what to do.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What determines the bitcoin price? on: February 03, 2018, 10:35:00 AM
In a perfect world price is determined by supply, demand, and the velocity of the currency. It is slightly different if the currency is pegged to an asset such as Royal Mint Gold, or a gold backed Ruble or Yuan.

Bitcoin is a bit different, and can be the victim of price manipulation by the elite bankers. Because the available supply is fairly small and restricted it is vulnerable to pump and dump activities. The frenzied activities of new speculators tend to amplify these price movements.

Yes, that is why others are pushing for regulation to avoid price manipulation.

For the OP miners do not determine the price as other posted it is still the basic of economics supply and demand. Price will always be determined on what the people are willing to pay for.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy! on: February 03, 2018, 10:30:50 AM
This always happened in any market and people do not learn as warren buffet once said be fearful when everyone is greedy and be greedy when eveyone is fearful. Now you can see people poating that it is the end of the crypto currency, most people are afraid to invest and to be honest i can not see why they are afraid to buy. This is the perfect opportunity to size up thwir portfolios.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep calm, and take a coffee. A trader said... on: February 03, 2018, 10:27:00 AM
That is the difference of a real trader and a newbie trader. Real traders can make money even the market is bearish. When the market is bullish people become geniuses and brag their profits. Real traders will just be quiet and can make money what ever the situation of the market.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: February 01, 2018, 08:56:33 AM
We will never know who he is, he wants his identity to be private and we ahould all respect it.

We shouls just be thankful for starting crypto currency as we are given more opportunities earn extra.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin wasn't created? on: February 01, 2018, 08:54:19 AM
Hi,

I think that if bitcoin hadn't been created... It would have been created anyway.

What matters here, is not the name in itself. It could be called "frogby", it changes nothing. So I guess that if the "bitcoin" (with such name and the characteristics we know) hadn't been created, another crypto would have taken its place of "founder". Just because what matters with the bitcoin is not the name but the idea behind it. And if you consider the society we are living in, I cannot imagine a dimension in which nobody wants to challenge financial authorities and traditional banking! Wink

So actually, if bitcoin hadn't been created, it would exist anyway. And the current crypto situation would be quite similar I guess!

I am with you with your post. If satoshi nakamoto did not create bitcoin sooner or later someone will and probably we will just call it with an another name.
291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bubble Burst ? on: January 31, 2018, 11:43:02 AM
The title of the topic is wrong because if it was a bubble burst i can assure you the 10k support will not stand. Any way in that sense just hold your bitcoin and if you have extra money buy more.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miss Bitcoin on: January 31, 2018, 11:40:25 AM
Sadly no, as long as they do not remember their private key then it wont be touch.

Your example is too big i bet people who have that kind of bitcoin have write or have back up plan to recover that huge amount.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Screw that, I'm hodling on: January 30, 2018, 03:58:58 AM
I currently am in the same state of mind as last January. BTC went up and then straight down. I have learn my lesson, next November / December I'll probably sell a few to take profit.
Plus, I am trying to be realistic here :
-There was an unprecedented bullrun to 20k. Odds are veeeery very thin that, in the life of btc, we don't see another similar bullrun again.
-Goldman Sachs exchange !
-Lightning network (dunno really if this will help btc to recover, but hey, still looks bullish to me)
-Maybe some future nice fork annoucements ?
-No more weak hands since the 'crash'

I am hodling at least until mid summer of this year. And if the price stays down, then that would mean to me that I definitely missed the big opportunity at the 20K USD ATH.

HODL

I am with you reading the previous post do not believe that bitcoin will rise again but I am very positive that it will. Just hodl and just ignore the noise, stick with your strategy.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: January 30, 2018, 03:49:14 AM
What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH

Will for me ethereum is the most profitable to invest but if we talk huge income back i will go bitcoin.Because for ethereum hot a little slow increasing no like bitcoin that almost 40$ increase in a hours. But they are both good to invest and hold they got big potential

For me both coins are great investment and if you are really investing it is wiser to invest on both coins. Always diversify on your investment.

For the topic I think Ethereum will be more profitable because of it has a lot of room to grow. I think Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin in the far future and 5 years could be the perfect time. Of course this is just speculation.
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Bitcoin Can Change The World? on: January 28, 2018, 11:06:18 PM
I think Bitcoin gives equal opportunities to everyone. Since anonymity it does not see country, skin color, gender. You can send money to whomever, wherever and whenever.

We can also expect that more people will use blockchain and there will be fewer banks.
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: January 28, 2018, 06:58:31 AM
And now you are an expert because you are trading for a year.
I have been trading for 10 years in the stock market and trading a year in crypto. Winning and losing is always part of trading. If you lost your 110k the do not blame the market because you are the one who click the buy and sell button.
297  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coincheck confirms hack on: January 27, 2018, 04:20:50 AM
This hackers are really hurting the crypto market. This is one of the reason why some people do not trust crypto currency. I think exchanges should really ramp up on security because if this continue more people will lose trust on crypto trading.
298  Economy / Gambling / Re: AI has beaten top poker professionals on: January 27, 2018, 04:00:22 AM
AI's will rule the world someday.

Like the Matrix movie? I am not discounting the fact that there is a possibility of this happening but with our current AI and robotics technology today this will be in the very far future.

For the OP, I am not surprised that AI was able to beat this Pro poker players as most poker players usually read body movements and of course AI will not show that. AI will always be logical and compute the probability of them winning the hand.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Turn $1000 into $1 mil in 1 year with 1% profit per trade and 2 trades per day on: January 27, 2018, 03:53:56 AM
Hi guys,

Few days ago I bumped into a youtube video that promotes this idea that if you invest $1000 in trading cryptocurrency, only aim at 1% profit per trade, with 2 trades like this per day in one year you will end up with $million in your pocket (compound interest). Now this person also mentioned 1% per trade is doable since looking at top 20 coins in coinmarketcap they all can increase at least 1 percent per day. This idea kinda blows my mind but at the same time I'm having too many questions in my head hopefully you can help me to clarify:

1. Is 2 trades per day with 1% profit per trade consistently in 365 days feasible?
2. There will be one point when I reach hundreds of thousands of dollars, how can I process that big load money in one trade, I mean is there any exchange out there that accept order in that big amount?
3. What kind of trading fee on exchange I should take into account for each of my trade?

Thanks again for all you help Smiley

As a simple math problem the answer is no. You can calculate your returns by 1000 * (1.01)*700.  Then you get 700k.

NOt only is your plan not feasible, but even if it happened as you plan it wouldnt work.

Exactly, besides that how can you guarantee that all your trades will have a 1% profit. If you are thinking that trading is easy as that then all people will be millionaires.

also having a 1% percent profit in all your trades will not work because there are fees and I can guarantee you that you will have losing trades and most likely that will be more than 1%.
