341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: List of ATTRACTIVE COINS !! on: September 24, 2017, 02:37:05 AM
Neo - top pick for 2018
That might be my pick for the new portions of coins that published during this year. Neo's must be really nice to have, I might purchase them.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: September 24, 2017, 02:26:38 AM
I do not think electroneum is a scam project, as there were too many similar projects like this, lots of negative issues circulated, but eventually after the project was a success, it proved that the project was not a scam project, I think it's best to analyze the elecroneum first

its probably a scam
You have your opinion on it of course. We will need to see what happens after the coin gets launched. The coin won't last three years, it may do well within this year and maybe the year after that.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt coins do you have? on: September 24, 2017, 02:24:38 AM
Just curious what alt coins are in your portfolio and why do you feel about the future of them?
I am just trying to store up some Hero coins for now, then I will begin gathering up more Altcoins. It's hard to keep researching these coins that just get launched.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do well know companies accept altcoin? on: July 07, 2017, 11:30:08 PM
Are well known companies accepting altcoin? Is there any list of those companies?
Litecoin or Ethereum might be a possibility. If people are talking about it a lot then the coin will get known as a different form for payment. Litecoin is more likely to get accepted as a payment option since it’s like Bitcoin, the transaction speed for Litecoin is much faster so they might have a discount for certain things that are in stores because that coin has a price that is not stuck at one price setting.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Etherparty (FUEL) - 🌟 Smart Contracts Made Simple 🌟 Token Sale SOON! on: July 07, 2017, 10:06:58 PM
It seems solid. But I'm bored of ICOs
I have to side with you on this one. So many ICO’s are being built now, there’s just so many that is within this board that each time their threads get bumped there’s a guy yelling scam. There’s a few ICO’s that are worth participating in yet this one is a little bit too minimal. The people that are building this coin should do real interviews and place their coins on an exchange so the price of their coin won’t get manipulated.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GGS] Gilgam.es E-Sport platform for everyone crowdsale on: July 07, 2017, 08:59:30 PM
Already can not participate in the twitter bounty?
The Twitter campaign isn’t open because the max amount of participants was obtained. There wouldn’t be that much rewards for the campaign since there’s only a couple of weeks left within the campaign.
If you really like Gilgam.es then you could just retweet it anyhow since there’s people out there that haven’t heard about Gilgam.es yet. Gilgam.es may be a good thing for gamblers since they like to bet on things in real time, I know that I will try it out when it gets famous.
347  Other / Archival / Re: Questions regarding Spectrecoin! on: July 07, 2017, 07:04:30 PM
Today, I was just exploring for new privacy based crypto and found Spectrecoin. I'm highly interested in investing in it. But after looking out some posts regarding this some are calling its a "shadowcash" clone and a pro scam. I also did a bit of research and found shadowcash was turned to scam. And xspec project is using the same thing like "spectre.cash". Means, it looked very similar in many ways. Now I'm in a serious doubt that its a good and long term project to invest my hard earned money. Also i checked latest posts of dev(mandica) on official thread. She gave a deadline of 1/2 weeks for new development build for core wallet. But after passing month's its still not full filled yet. Don't know why the development is too slow!

Other things to clear:
1. When it'll be listed on bittrex/poloniex, are the devs contacted with them?
2. Whats the future plans? (As the roadmap on site is not updated yet since month's)
3. When they start marketing? any plans?

ANY COMMENTS FROM BITCOINTALK EXPERTS ON IT???
This is the very first time I actually looked into Spectrecoin.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/spectrecoin/

I kind of feel that it isn’t worth buying since the price of it went up multiple times since the very beginning of the year. The price of the coin was at 200 sats and now it’s at 0.00010001 BTC per coin, unless you want to risk your money in something that might dump on you all of a sudden then I would recommend you to purchase it.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people sell ICO coins before release? on: July 06, 2017, 05:56:21 PM
Several times I have seen ICO coins been sold at really high prices on exchanges, however I see this happening before they coins are even possible to deposit to an exchange. How is this possible? For example right now Zrcoin is being traded on HITBTC, but I can't deposit my coins that I got in the ICO because on the deposit page there is a message: "Please note that ZRC is an IOU for future issued token. Until the blockchain is released withdrawals and deposits are unavailable. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience."
How can it be traded when it is not possible to deposit the coin?
There might be a moment where the wallet goes online for a little bit and it allows people to send coins into that exchange then when after a few minutes or hours the wallet goes offline so the people that try to send coins into that exchange won’t be able to do so. This also happens when there is a huge dump or if there is a huge pump.
It all depends on what Bitcoin exchange it is.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i get free coins? on: July 06, 2017, 02:06:50 AM
Faucet gives very little number of coins. You should participate in bounty campaigns.
I don't know about you though there's a bunch of faucets out there that pay in Bitcoin or Altcoin and if the right technique is used the amount of coins that could get earned from faucets is a pretty nice number. If people knew how to stay up to date with the whole faucet botting thing then there wouldn't be any faucets left. Rollin.io has a good faucet where people can try to gamble their rewards within a few seconds.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: July 05, 2017, 11:13:16 PM
Whatever some people say about Zcash, but it is excellent for mining. People are getting profits with it. Take a look at this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs7kEAzMrjU . One GTX 1060 card fetches you $110/month. So 6x would get you >$600 a month.

I've noticed that people that invest in mining rigs just so they can mine a certain coin have a very high chance of making their money back and more. Coins like Litecoin and Ethereum is a prime example of how much people invest in those coins and their value went up to a high amount. It's only a matter of time till more people begin to notice it.
Those coins are the only ones that I would consider investing in right now.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICO are you watching next? for me BAT, TEZOS and STATUS on: July 05, 2017, 07:22:55 PM
I can understand some one to invest on BAT (Even tho I find their product useless), or Status (This is actually can be the future WeChat), but Tezos? why the heck to invest on that ICO? low ROI and who knows what will come out of it.

You got so many capped ICO's with much higher ROI in potential..

What other ICO's would you recommend to invest in?

BAT is a pretty nice coin to invest in. They have real developers that are working on the payment system and other features that will allow it to provide people with a somewhat secure payment platform. The price of BAT may go a little bit lower because Bitcoin is going down some though when the coin receives a pump then a whole bunch of people that are in it will make a bunch of money.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: July 05, 2017, 04:27:50 PM
If you are hodling for that long, go with reliability - Bitcoin and Litecoin.
Litecoin could be a nice investment if the investor knows how to look at the chart to see the lowest point possible so they can make a purchase within that price range. If they hold the coins long enough then the price of Litecoin will go up because there would be one less person trying to sell his Litecoin for some kind of coin. Holding the coin will support those that hold the coin as well.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest some altcoins to invest on: July 05, 2017, 10:33:40 AM
I would say Ardor, Status, Ark and SONM.

Ark is a pretty nice coin to invest in. The price is a little cheap right now though when they announce that they might add some kind of cannabis integration for the coin then the price of Ark may go up since there's a bunch of people in Bitcoin that are interested in that kind of stuff.
I hope that the coin won’t get into the Darknet shops because the price of that coin will go all over the place.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: July 05, 2017, 10:30:09 AM
I have personally regretted selling my STRATIS at $0.3 cent, even though i was lucky to enter into its ICO and had about 55,000 strat as at then. While i sold all my coins at profit at more than 10x, i would have made about 1,000X should i have hodl, with stratis at a time hitting $10. That would have given me a $550,000 from an investment of about $400.

Having learnt from this experience do you think any already listed coin or upcoing ICO has the potential of replicating such STRATIS success story? If you are to Hodl for atleast a year which coin would you hodl and why?

Thanks

Stratis was a pretty interesting one. A whole bunch of people knew that the price of STRAT was going to go up since there was a bunch of updates going on with that project.
Openanx is another good coin because they are working on their own project as well. I would suggest purchasing it when the coin gets launched in exchanges.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming ICO's on: July 05, 2017, 10:28:07 AM
Miv have my attention.Sonm buy after bounty distribution.

What’s so special about Sonm? Do they actually have a Super Computer waiting for the crowdsale to be over so they can mine Bitcoins or something?
I don’t really see the point for people getting into that project and I also don’t really see people trying to accept that coin in real stores.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OAX] openANX - Real World Application of Decentralized Exchanges on: July 05, 2017, 10:26:08 AM

The openANX Token Sale has Officially Closed!

The openANX team would like to thank all our backers and supporters for their assistance in making this sale such a success. As of close, the sale has sold 25,009,249.58 tokens and raised 52,246.28 Ether, a really outstanding effort!

In addition, we have had over 4,400 contributors help make this project a reality, with the majority of backers coming in with smaller amounts, allowing us to build a large, engaged community rather than a few “whales” dominating the supply. The average contribution size was 7.03 ETH and the vast majority of backers contributed once. https://etherscan.io/token/0x701c244b988a513c945973defa05de933b23fe1d

We are keen to get working on new aspects of the project, including building a "User Group” of exchanges, development and getting out to spread word of the project with the wider community.

We will shortly be releasing a “Post Sale User Guide” for people that will cover how to “activate their tokens”, which will be distributed via the website and announced via official social media channels.

Thanks again to everyone and stay tuned for more updates.

Congratulations on the successful ICO sale. I am wondering why is the coins going to be distributed on the 29th of July when the ICO just finished up?

Also, did you guys spend any of the money that was made from the ICO?
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: July 01, 2017, 02:33:25 PM
Some of my facebook friends posted faucet sites where we can get a small amount of satoshi and we can claim it every few minutes. That's the first time I know about bitcoin.
Same , I was influenced too by my facebook friends by their way of promoting the faucet they are using. Promoting in facebook is such a good way of promoting bitcoin. Almost all of us here have social media account thats why we can easily discover bitcoin.
There's a bunch of people that are into Bitcoin and promoted it through some kind of social media. I think that most people within this forum began to learn Bitcoin tech through Facebook or from some kind of program that they were in.

Bitcoin is going to get more popular.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: July 01, 2017, 02:31:18 PM
All bitcoin users are hoping on this one on which Bitcoin adoption would spread even more as the days goes by.We are hoping for this thing soo that we wont hardly spend our bitcoins and could directly spend them without the need of exchanging to fiat and also If Adoption arises then expected the price would do the same thing too which we are all waiting for.
This is one of the reason why some people doesnt like bitcoin because they cannot used it directly. I believe that time will come that we can used it directly if continue spread it all over the world until government accept is a real currency.
If people could get Bitcoin without having to purchase it on some kind of Bitcoin exchange then the price of Bitcoin would go up since there would be more people holding the coin. There's Bitcoin ATM's all over the world so Bitcoin is sort of getting to a point where it could be purchased directly.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoin for longterm investment on: July 01, 2017, 02:28:00 PM
Long-term altcoin investment between 1-2 years... I actually do not recommend it because I personally still do not believe in altcoin performance in the long-term. But if you want to try long-term altcoin investments, I recommend choosing the top 5 coins in coinmarketcap. That is the best coin that maybe worth the long-term.
The top 5 coins are really nice choices because they have people that know about it more than the other coins out there right now. If people looked at the new ICO's that are out now they will notice that most coins like to use their contracts for recognition.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Caps on: July 01, 2017, 02:24:55 PM
Market Cap is one abstractions which is misused so many times. One coin with larger total number of coins in circulation with same price will have a higher place in list. For investors this is irelevant, and probably wrong if your desissions are based on this. It is more important what is project stands for, and for what purpose will be used, numbers are more interesting for economist to calculate inflation. Capitalisation is not real is an presumption about total value.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry so much about the marketcap of a coin because those numbers are usually not what they say they are. Though it is kind of interesting to have a general calculation on how the marketcap of a coin is made -it's cool to see that the people that built an Altcoin is not as rich as they seem.
