So I googled fasthash. I am pretty sure I can handle that. Seems there is some water/ice cooling. But a drill for the power supply?
There was no talk of gigahashes at all, it was measured in grams?!?
Also, there was no talk of nanometers, it was all in microns. There was something about a 220, right down to 20 microns in one process?
And where do you input your wallet address? Then there was talk of a press?
This is going to knock bitcoin mining on its ass.
Hi JMA, Not sure what site you landed on, but it's not our's. Our name is HashFast, not the reverse. We will be rekeasing more info soon... Please send me the link privately? John

Is Bob Smith really his name ?! The only thing that would be a bigger red flag is if he signed his name John Doe...
My intern thinks this is a good idea... im not so sure I think the linkedin profile is better proof, LOL John

What sort of plan do you have in place to protect the bitcoin network as a whole when you will be shipping devices this powerful? Just to put things in perspective- if you were to have these chips finalized today, a single 3000 chip reel of them would represent 1200 TH of hash power, which is nearly 500% of what the entire bitcoin network is today. Will you be offering bulk chips for sale in these sorts of quantities, or will you be limiting your sales?
Of course I realize that we're going to be a helluva lot higher than 250TH come october, but even if the network were to hit 1000 TH by then, a single reel of chips would *still* be enough to hold more than 51% of the hash power.
HashFast is absolutely committed to promoting the bitcoin and protecting the BTC ecosystem and will work towards ensuring that no one entity controls more than 50%. John Skrodenis HashFast.com

Hopefully with these companies making huge investments in bitcoin tech, we can see people making bigger investments in promoting the use and therefore increase in value in bitcoin. We should be seeing ads on TV, having people try to get local businesses around the country hooked up and using the currency. In theory, they should be all for it because they won't have to pay swipe fees, which can add up.
We agree with you Ytterbium. Our goals are certainly in alignment with the promotion of BTC overall, and we will be working the press on this front. (my job) Cheers, John

I sent an email to Uniquify (info@) today, asking if Mr. Bob Smith can confirm the letter in the OP. I just received the answer that he does indeed confirm authorship. So, most likely, NOT scam. Hi Qwk, If your real name starts with 'B,' your email was forwarded to me this morning by Bob. I will hit you up on that email now. Thanks for posting this. Cheers, John Skrodenis HashFast.com

Hi John, Welcome to the boards, we need more players in this game. I look forward to specs on your miners and more information on your business model.
Thanks Btceic! More Specs will be coming out soon. Our business model is fairly simple: we are going to produce and sell the best possible mining gear, with a well oiled supply chain. John

Hi Everyone, I am pleased to announce some specs for our ASIC mining chip. This is a statement from Uniquify Inc, one of the world's leading ASIC design firms. They have done the physical design of our chip. Subscribe to our website for product details as they come out, or hit me up directly with questions. Cheers, John Skrodenis HashFast.com

The domain was purchased in a founder's wife's personal account before there was funding or an office. Its not that weird, and definitely not shady. John Skrodenis HashFast.com

Cant be real... they did not reserve the second post I'm new to this forum, obviously. (though my boss, Simon Barber is not) Not sure what that means? Can you clarify? John

We will be announcing our product line in 6 days on our website, and anyone considering buying gear right now might be smart to hold off until then.
Can you comment, yes or no, now, on this time line template: t=0 Announce announcement to be made at t+7 t=7 Announce kick-ass product to be ready at t+X (60 <= X) t=7 Announce pre-sales of kick-ass product. Yes, that is correct. Except t=7 = launch presales of product. John HashFast

Maybe it's just me, but when you tell me Bitfury has a 2800 score and KNC a score of 90, that really seems odd. Especially considering KNC's gigahash/watt is better than Bitfury's or BFL's. It really makes me question the relevance of this metric to me. Are you saying KNC, or someone, if they had access to KNC's design could replace it with a design that's 30 times more efficient? Are we saying KNC's design is basically one giant fuckup? Doesn't seem to make sense or accord with known facts.
I'm gonna assume that we simply just don't have enough technical details to make a determination and that's why KNC still hasn't been added to the OP list.
I disagree. Bitfury's power consumption is actually better than KNC's current published specs. This η factor calculation doesn't take power consumption into consideration. It is simply a measure of the efficiency of the silicon design itself. (still very valuable IMHO) John HashFast

Hey Guys, that is a different company, making a machine called fast-hash. We are hashfast.com, with no relation with virtual mining corp, just to be clear. We will be announcing our product line in 6 days on our website, and anyone considering buying gear right now might be smart to hold off until then. Cheers, John Head of Sales Hashfast
