That is reasonable, but I have already talked about every possible option like that with the team for over a month now, and we can't develop this to the level we plan on unless we are working on it full time. Which means we can't be working full time elsewhere, and we need some funding to add value to the project.

No matter what some people won't be happy, and some even think with a couple GPUs we should mine along with everyone else and work for a year, or years, for nothing, which is impossible for us and most anyone.

If you have any concerns, just wait, but we are sticking with the plan and we think it will speak for itself over time.

You guys continue to dodge the questions about the 1.1 million coins you will have in your hands ready to dump on first exchange. Put your money where your mouth is. Delete the 1.1 million part you have up front, entirely. Go with 100% contract only community vote released over time fund and this might not be DOA.

3 important things:

- If you unlock the wallet before the blockchain finishes downloading (you can compare to the height at explore.siacoin.com), the program will slow down substantially and may appear like it is frozen. Until we fix this issue, it's best to wait to unlock your wallet until the blockchain is fully downloaded. Depending on your computer, this will take between 20 minutes and 9 hours (it's much faster on SSDs).

- You can now import legacy wallets (only after wallet is unlocked), but your new coins will not show up until after you restart siad.

- Starting Sia can take a while. For some people it's just a few seconds, but for others it's several minutes.


If you wish to import a legacy wallet:

1. Download 'Sia' and let it fetch the whole blockchain.

2. Unlock the wallet (before you unlock the wallet the first time, you need to initialize it. In the GUI, initialization is automatic. In the CLI, you can do `./siac wallet init`)

3. Load the legacy wallet. (in the GUI, there's a 'load legacy wallet' button. In the CLI, you can use `./siac wallet load 033x [filename]`)

4. after the wallet has loaded, you must restart 'siad' for the coins to show up You can stop siad by running `./siac stop`, or by killing the process from the task manager.

I have to say that decentralization is pretty bad at the moment    One pool and all hashpower in it. Seriously?
We need more pools if this project have to thrive.

The variable fee system is now in place. Current pool share is 50 of the last 60 blocks, but slow blocks mean that some large miner has recently (temporarily ?) stopped mining.

Poloniex is the best exchange at the moment....

There will be no risk of dumping as we will be using smart contracts, zero risk. The upcoming plans requires a reserve and would not work without it, but we are avoiding ninja launches and instamines that go along with most zero premines, that in practice are usually not actually fair and favor the few that know the timing or initial settings to mine.

It will be an extremely fair launch this way without any person or group having an edge. There will even be a test launch so people less technical can set everything up in advance and be ready for it. So even the least technical people will have a fair shot at a time made clear well in advance.

As for the reserve, most of the reserve will be controlled by the community, and I think most people will find the design for this very innovative and original once they see it.

We are very close to the announcement now and should have it up within days. Sorry for the delays, but we want to get this done right.

There will be public test mining in advance of the actual launch so people can test and have everything ready, so that the actual launch will be as fair as possible for everyone.

Hi, my pool is currently unable to mine. Not sure exactly what's going on, the daemon rejects mined blocks, even though I've reverted blockchain and daemon to earlier versions.

Important - network issue

There is some issue with mooo's pool being forked off the network. It seems to be related to a transaction created by the pool, and may be related to one of the updates but we are still investigating. Wallet (deposit/withdrawal) at Bittrex is frozen for the time being and I recommend that you do not engage in other transactions until the problem is diagnosed.

In regards of the web3 interface.. it is NOT complete yet. We can not guarantee the functionality, becuase it is not tested yet. What, works... works. That being said, we will fix this in the coming days. It is alot that needs to be fully rebranded, migrated to shift in terms of functionality and further development before we can do a major release e.g v 1.0.0 and not 0.2.0 as we are on now.
