UserName     KH/s         OCT/Day
bob             2,391,033         378,377.305

We should rename the coin to "Greedy bastard Bob"
You are stupid man. Most of coins mined in start, first ~10 hours. This guy connected to mine only in last ~2-2.5k blocks i think he hold max. 7-10% of all POW coins.

DEV, any plans, news about coin?

I just saw that www.copy.com is testing CudaDrive Beta where cloud storage will create Disk Drive and not just folder.

It would be great to have simple "Sia Drive (S:)" and some credit (SC coins) in my account. Then when I copy something to this Drive it will simple deduct some SC from my account.

What is next step for Sia from user point of view?

Next step we'll be allowing you to upload up to 4GB at a time (maybe more) and selecting entire folders instead of just one file at a time. We're also working on a file sharing server called 'Sunfish', which will be open source such that anyone can run a Sunfish server.

New Release Available

https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia/releases/tag/v0.3.3.3-beta

https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia-UI/releases/tag/v0.3.3.3-beta

The in-app 'update' button does not work very well, it's recommended that you disregard the update button and download a fresh install.

There is a new command in siac for merging wallets. If you have coins in multiple wallets, you can use the merge wallets command to load them all at once. You will have to restart siad to see the new combined balance.
Can i continue use v0.3.3.2 version? OR it mandatory update?

Whats the difference between Sia and Sia-UI ?  which one should I use ?

Sia-UI - GUI version
Sia - consol version

http://127.0.0.1:9980/miner/status

Browser access disabled due to security vulnerability. Use Sia-UI or siac. Huh

Unfortunately yes. You'll have to either use the UI or use siac. siac is available in this download: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia/releases/tag/v0.3.3.2-beta

====

We've got miner binaries that seem to be working for all systems.

Linux and Mac can be downloaded here: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia-GPU-Miner/releases/tag/v1.0.2

The Windows binary was compiled by a third party (be wary of malware, etc.), and can be downloaded here: https://github.com/droghio/Sia-GPU-Miner/releases/tag/1.02j

They are also available through Sia:

linux64: http://pastebin.com/Hb81KNhh
mac64: http://pastebin.com/ZAE9tEKX
windows64 (be wary of malware): http://pastebin.com/0tLBBK2i

Mac binary seems to be missing some files. There is no makefile or sia-gpu-miner.c, so make does nothing. I have tried older commits, and even pulling the makefile out of the linux build , and it at least tries to compile, but the dependencies are wrong so it wont run after it compiles.  This is now above my pay grade, but taek has been pinged, and assumed to be sleeping. I see these commits were 5 hours ago.
try compile with
"make mac"

What chain is wrong? or i missed something? v0.3.3.2 is hardfork?

Quote from:  Taek  (in Siatalk Slack)
Don't worry if you are off by 1-2 blocks from the explorer. Downloading the block chain will take a while if you don't move over the old chain.db file.

As for peers, give it 20-30 minutes and you should get a few more. The old siad had a bad version model, you won't connect to anyone running the old version.
My v0.3.3.2 wallet running more that 1 hour and he still show 5651

block explore
Current Blockchain Height    5655

What chain is wrong? or i missed something? v0.3.3.2 is hardfork?

Earlier when I was trying to mine, I ran either siac or siad I can't remember and my balance went to 0 and I got a new address. I quit terminal and restarted electrum and my balance and address was back again.  I didn't try to mine again because I was worried I'd permanently mess up but maybe that has something to do with what happened now.

I think when you are mining you get an new address whenever you mine coins. It is ok to have multiple addresses in the same wallet. but I am not a miner and hope that some miners can confirm this.
Wallet have visible addresses and non-visible. Then you mine block it addon in wallet as non-visible address

I opened my wallet today to buy more siacoin and I noticed my balance now shows 0KS.  I haven't downloaded an update or messed with anything because of some problems people have been having.  I had previously found the wallet.dat file and copied it onto my desktop as a backup.  I just replaced the wallet.dat file that was in sia with the one I had on my desktop and it still says 0KS.  It also is showing a different address.  How is this possible? Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks
was it showing a new address before you replaced it with the one from your desktop? or did you happen to notice that?

yeah it was showing 0KS and a new address before I replaced it

i would simply zip and backup the full wallet directory

I didn't backup the full directory but a couple weeks ago I did backup the wallet.dat file located in (on a mac you need to right click and select show package contents on the electron app first): Contents/Resources/app/Sia/wallet.  I didn't also backup the wallet.backup file is that what is causing this? I just replaced the wallet.dat file that's located in Sia/wallet with the one I backed up a couple weeks ago.  Still no balance though.  Does that mean somehow someone got my private keys and sent the coins somewhere else? Or both my wallet.dat files are corrupted?

i doubt someone has your keys

doublecheck that your wallet has more than just 1 peers (it usually starts with 1 peer and builds up over time)

also ensure to replace the wallet file and then start the wallet (i doubt it will work to replace it while wallet is running)

I think everything's okay!  I restarted my wallet again and my computer as well this time.  When I opened electrum the overview page was completely blank (didn't say 0KS it was just blank) and then after a couple minutes my balance loaded! Thanks everyone
congratulation Smiley backup wallet in save place now  Smiley

Going to be probably another 7 weeks or so before software is even ready for an exchange for SIA.

And I certainly would rather see it start on a better exchange, and no one should have to pay to have SIA listed. The exchanges should be lining up to add it  Grin no voting needed.

C-Cex has listed about as many shitcoins as there can possibly be. And bogus ICO's for those shitcoins... IDK. Like to see SIA on Poloniex or Bittrex to start.

A top shelf coin deserves a top shelf exchange  Smiley
I agree with it. We need Poloniex or maybe cryptsy.

BTC withdraw fee on alcurEX is now 0.0005/transaction.
We use tx fees for transactions between cold storage and hotwallet for protecting deposits, not collecting profits.
Bittrex, YoBit 0.0002 fee and c-cex 0.0005 I don't know how they spend it.
That`s good Smiley
