Hi all, I used this calculator to see how many BTC per day I should be mining: http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.phpI am running at 565 Mhash/s, consistently, while connected to Slush's pool (HD5770 + HD5850). Over the last few hours, I've checked my account at mining.bitcoin.cz to see how my "Total reward" changes every hour. I've only been averaging 0.009 BTC/hour, which translates into 0.23 BTC/day. The calculator estimates that I should be getting 0.36 BTC/day. My rejected count stays between 2% and 3%...and my phoenix software has not disconnected from the server once. Any ideas? My phoenix command line is as follows: C:\...\phoenix.exe -u http://username.worker:password@api2.bitcoin.cz:8332/ DEVICE=0 -k phatk VECTORS BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=11 WORKSIZE=256 Thanks! i7 930, 12gb RAM, MSI Hawk R5770, Sapphire Xtreme HD5850

You can't remove the address's afaik, plus you wouldn't want to mistakenly have bitcoins sent to an address you later couldn't retrieve.
Starting a new wallet is the only thing I can think of.
I do wonder though, at what point in your address book should you be thinking of starting fresh. From a usability standpoint, forgetting improved anonymity by frequent changes etc.

Do you have any ready built? I would like to see a picture of the final product.

I don't mind declaring the income you misapprehend my reason for wishing to not have regular payments into the account, it isn't about avoiding tax. My concern is having the tax man thinking i'm doing something illegal. I'm not but trying to explain bitcoin and all it involves does seem suspicious i'm sure.
See i'm not a tax avoiding bum, i'm a "wanting to avoid the hassle of being questioned and suspected of foul play" bum.
Fair enough, you shouldn't really worry, buying and selling bitcoins isn't much different to doing the same with the gold or silver market. Just keep all your transaction records for at least 5 years, pay the tax and sleep easy at night. If the tax man comes knocking, you have all your paperwork to throw straight back in his face if foul play is suspected.

Testing the 2011-07-11 kernel.7z
XFX 5870 @ 940/300 Ubuntu 11.04, ATI Drivers 11.5, SDK 2.1 Before: [428.56 Mhash/sec] -> After: [432.28 Mhash/sec] Stales before: 0.22% - > Stales after: 3.48% Over a 4 hour test period
XFX 5870 @ 940/300 Ubuntu 11.04, ATI Drivers 11.5, SDK 2.4 Before: [422.34 Mhash/sec] -> After: [189.58 Mhash/sec] Stales: Not tested due to adverse affects.
Well that is very strange, but at least you are able to mine faster with SDK2.1 and the current kernel version ^^. Btw. I had other things to do, but during the next week I will release a new version. Dia Awesome, I look forward to it. I think the rejected shares was random variance from my side as it seems to have settled down to a more realistic 0.88%.

You will have to either: a: Flash the bios on your cards with RBE to remove the memory limit b: Use the latest 11.7 preview drivers to bypass bios overclocking limits c: Maybe use ATIOverdrive

What are you guys like for EU withdraws/deposits? Support for SEPA?
|
|
|
They should get account in some European bank inside SEPA. It shouldn't be an imposible solution and fees might go down... I pass mtGox untill they get SEPA transfers to max 3. banking days.
They have an account in France.

So I've got a couple dual gpu 5970/6990 on the way and I'm wondering if the 100% cpu mining bug is a Windows only problem? I'm planning to use Ubuntu again for this box and hopefully not fry this poor Sempron.

I might run into my local electronics store and see if they stock a simple digital airflow meter, should keep me busy this weekend.

Use GPU-Z to export the BIOS from the card and then load it in RBE to check on the fans curve Or you can get a BIOS from techpowerup website. Hey thanks for the tip, unfortunately I don't think that shows me the fans output.

Use the latest ATI preview drivers, you don't need to use a dummy plug. Alternatively search for the registry mod that sometimes works.

I don't think this DDOS is an attempt at lowering the difficulty. More likely a botnet owner was pissed at being banned from a certain pool & his btc being donated to the faucet.
in short....what are botnets? A botnet is a collection of compromised computers, termed bots, that are used for malicious purposes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botnet

A domain that can only be held and operated by a citizen of the US. $25k offer already? ... Take it and run my friend

That PDF is a total joke. Wonder where he scrapped the content from, anyone for a DMCA?
Forget the DMCA, I'm waiting for his nice $250k fine for lying on the trademark application form.

Can you use a correctly signed certificate assigned by a reputable company and not a self signed one please?

I'm looking for some information on the CFM of the fans on XFX 5870's. I cant find a single piece of information that gives an accurate CFM rate for these fans at relative speed positions, does anyone know where I can find this information? I'm in the last stages of building my enclosed cabinet and obviously I don't want to push 750CFM through the cards if they only expel ~100. XFX fans are shit at the best of times
