601  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Flexible mining proxy on: July 05, 2011, 01:03:16 AM
I've patched this proxy to perform automatic pool hopping, directing requests to the most profitable pools, and have been using it successfully for several days on 3 proportional pools (very hoppable), 2 score-based (slightly hoppable), as well as PPS and solo mining as fallbacks. I don't have exact statistics on the earnings yet, but I believe it's over 20% more than I was making before.

I've only shared my patch with one friend, but I'm considering releasing it to the public for a bounty. Would anyone be interested?
No, there are better free & opensource versions already available, thanks.
602  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Unstable Rig - how to diagnose on: July 04, 2011, 04:36:25 PM
I would say its an overclocking stability issue, maybe one of those cards is of a slightly different version and cant achieve the same high clock.
603  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU bust? on: July 04, 2011, 03:02:16 PM
What kind of noise was it?
The reason I ask is that I remember an old PSU of mine making a very nasty high pitched squealing noise for ~2 days before it literally blew up in smoke and deformed its case.

Trippy, I like  Grin

Are you planning to add more to your site or was this a one off production?
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does this site use an embedded miner? on: July 04, 2011, 02:04:15 PM
There is no miner embedded onto forum.bitcoin.org
606  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking for bitcoin mining rental service on: July 04, 2011, 11:45:27 AM
I've thought about this and I currently have ~2.3ghs available for rent.
I would like to keep things very simple between the two parties involved.

I haven't sat down and priced up exact monthly rental plans but if you are serious about this please send me a pm with the length of contract you have in mind and we can take it from there.

What makes you think BTCDeal is anything to do with BTCGuild?
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we should ban those ponzi game post on this forum on: July 03, 2011, 03:13:32 PM

When are rewards going to be fixed for everyone that solved blocks on the UK servers?
Missing some 10+ block payments due to those crappy servers  Undecided

613  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1GHash/s $1200 for 3 months on: June 29, 2011, 04:35:42 PM
ok, so it seems that there is no response.
would anyone take 1GHash for $100 per month?
$400 per month now down to $100... am I missing something here?  Huh
614  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Multipool - the pool mining pool (with source code) on: June 29, 2011, 04:29:50 PM
There is no git repo as it seems... only downloads
Ah, sorry.. I had a brain fart.  Roll Eyes

https://github.com/multipool/Multipool/downloads for anyone else that might be looking for the files.
615  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Multipool - the pool mining pool (with source code) on: June 29, 2011, 03:52:05 PM
hmm, what happened to the git repo? Seems to have been deleted.
616  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: another 3% mining increase with poclbm kernel.cl on: June 29, 2011, 08:37:23 AM
On my 5870 it jumped 16 mh from 385 to 401. I'm using the poclbm "old" kernel + the other +3% patch (that gives me only 1% of speedup :-( )
Weird, what's the rest of your setup? I've listed mine above and this mod decreases my performance on every 5870 I have tried, mix of ubuntu/windows, ati versions & sdk.
617  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling 17-GPU Mining Cluster (Whole Cluster Only) on: June 29, 2011, 08:35:43 AM
I only count 14 gpus...

5970 = 2 GPU * Qty 2 = 4 GPU
6990 = 2 GPU * Qty 1 = 2 GPU
Umm yeah, doesn't really work like that... you can't count them as an extra gpu lol.

I don't see what's so hard here.  These are dual-gpu cards.  Eitherway, use the parts list to determine your interest in the cluster.
Its VERY misleading, you are not actually getting any extra gpu units instead you are trying to fob factory standard dual gpu cards as two separate entities.
618  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Radeonvolt - HD5850 reference voltage tweaking and VRM temp. display for Linux on: June 29, 2011, 08:33:14 AM
It obviously didn't work, there is no way those numbers can be correct.
Aye, obviously. My point about being a good sign or a bad one was in regards to updating the address points to get it working with this card, but I don't know what I'm doing so I'm out.
619  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling 4 Gigabyte Radeon HD 5850's. 330 mh/s EACH on: June 29, 2011, 08:03:38 AM
Hi

I just recently purchased 2 gigabyte 6870 and they were both returned due to faulty memory.

Hi
What does that have to do with the price of potatoes?  Huh
