As near as I know ASIC miners only work for bitcoin - not the alt coins (nor can they do the scrypt algo...)
You can mine pretty much any SHA-256 based altcoin with current ASIC, not that I condone altcoins at all, but you can if you wish.

Current ASIC can only mine SHA-256

So far it has been fine. However, occasionally, the site will fail to load at all for minutes at a time, as if it were offline. Other times, it's just reliably slow, but now, it's speedy.
Noticed the same on my phone, thought it was just my crappy 3G, a quick refresh brings it straight back usually though.

From the video I would say that definitely sounds like a metallic object hitting a fan. It's weird how its so intermittent though, I would have thought if something was fouling the fan it would happen more often though. I would have another good look around the inside and try and find that loose nut/bolt, you don't want it coming loose and falling on anything conductive if i want to dismantle it for a thorough inspection, what do i need to take note of? Careful you don't drop anymore of those little nuts into your case, they are a pain in the ass . Also before you do take it apart, try turning it off and giving the case a little shake to see if you can hear anything loose inside.

I've had my Sennheiser headset for a few years now, hands down the best money i've ever spent on a headset, I've had many logitecs etc and nothing compares to the sound quality of Sennheiser, these are the ones I have though I doubt you can get them anymore ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/electronics/dp/B000MXLW34)

Look into the shell command, maybe this will help you get started Sub Calc1() Dim RetVal RetVal = Shell("%windir%\system32\calc.exe ", 1) ShowStatus "Open Calculator" End Sub Good luck, have fun

I improved modSettings. It's only updated once every few minutes now instead of once every 5-10 seconds. Hopefully that'll make things faster.
I'm seeing much better results

Was just going to post about this very same thing, yes the database seems to be very slow at random times.

So If I go buy a BFL labs miner and stick some LED's on it, is it custom?
Nah you would also need to put some of those go faster stripes you see on chavy (ricer) cars On a serious note though FPGA & ASIC hardware goes in the Custom Hardware sub. GPUs and hardware related to Bitcoin mining but specifically not FPGA/ASIC go in the Hardware sub. I imagine as GPUs become less popular we will have another move around. I think its alright for now, what exactly are your problems with the current subs? You don't make it very clear in the OP.

When the time comes nearer I am more then willing to travel to your premises at my expense to verify your hardware, chat with you etc. I'm based in the Midlands.

James is a decent guy to trade with, done many dealings with him in the past and there's never been an issue we couldn't handle.

My condolences to you and your family.
