Hello guys newbie question : if i own MTC on MetaMask, do i need to do anything to get rewarded with airdrop? i mean like, do i have to put my mtcs on an exchange or something...? Thanks a lot for your help
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Dragonmint T1 Low HashRate on: May 21, 2018, 03:15:59 PM
Yes I contacted HalongMining and they said the same thing basically, download the firmware and reboot. If it still hash at 11TH one of the board probably died. Thanks for your help guys!
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Dragonmint T1 Low HashRate on: May 20, 2018, 08:06:49 PM
Hey guys, one of my Dragonmint T1 (16TH) on Slushpool suddently dropped hashrate (around 10.5-11TH right now). It started with the ''Worker Status'', it was green so Active, then it went Orange when the hashrate dropped, and few minutes later it went back to the green status ''Active''. But the hashrate is still around 10.70 TH, is that normal? Do you think one of the hashboard died...? I plugged them few days ago.... thank you for your help.

EDIT : I noticed that the ''Pool Scoring Hash Rate'' dropped a lot too, from 3.700Ehs to 3.500Ehs. Once again maybe this is normal or idk, just curious.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion About Docademic (MTC) ? on: May 15, 2018, 05:29:20 PM
Many people estimate about docademic (mtc) will reach its best price in August will rise again 500%.

Why august? Thank you
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Opinion About Docademic (MTC) ? on: May 15, 2018, 04:52:08 PM
It went up 300% in like 3 days, the team looks strong, whitepaper too, I'm just not sure if I should invest in it now or wait a bit? Anyone hold this coin? Let me know what you think if you heard of it, thank you !
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 Strange Noise on: May 02, 2018, 09:57:40 PM
Make sure when you are shaking it you are holding onto the hashin boards themselves as they rattle around in the case like that normally. If you still hear that noise you might have a loose heatsink, if thats the case you do not want to power it up without repairing the board first.

Just saw exactly what was causing the noise : The middle board is loose. What should I do now? Try to repair it locally or send it to bitmain...?
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Antminer S9 Strange Noise on: May 02, 2018, 09:33:16 PM
Hey guys, received today 2x Antminers S9, one of them though is making a weird ''metal'' noise when I gently shake it... Like if something inside was loose. The other Antminer is fine though. I wonder what should I do... Just plug it in or return it directly to Bitmain. Thanks a lot.
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 Problem on: February 22, 2018, 01:40:18 PM
Check the kernel log - it may well give you an indication as to what is going wrong. If you want to, post the log here and we can assist in troubleshooting it.
thats the other thing now... I cant even log in to this Antminer now... hes working now though i see it in the pool but I cant login with user and password root-root...
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Antminer S9 Problem on: February 22, 2018, 12:22:57 PM
Hey guys, so I woke up this morning and checked one of my miner and realised the air that was coming out of it was cold, so checked my pool after that and saw that the THs of that miner was going down to finally simply dissapear from the pool. Any idea of whats going on? Thanks for your help

UPDATE : I just turned it off then on and it started working good again... weird though I dont know what happened, heard a weird noise downstair and when i checked my miner was pushing cold air only (room temp 20 degrees) and dissapeared from the pool...
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Electricity Questions (AMP-Breaker) on: February 18, 2018, 10:24:43 PM
Hey guys, I plan on installing maybe 10 miners in my garage. The thing is that I know each miners needs to be plugged on a 15 AMP breaker minimum, so technically ill need 150 AMP to make this project work. The issue is when i checked on my breaker at home I believe theres a maximum of 200 AMP for the whole house (maybe im wrong im not very good with these stuffs). What can I do? Can I call an electrician to install more breakers...? I don't really know if thats possible.. If someone know better let me know please it would help me a lot, thank you for your time

Call an electrician for sure. But, let's assume you are picking up 10 Antminer S9s. That's roughly 70A at 220. To cover 10 you'll need 4 30A circuits with 3 per circuit so you might as well buy 12 miners or round down to 9 Smiley Depending on how many you decide on, and you should always plan for growth, the electrician will probably recommend a 100-125A subpanel if your main panel has the capacity.

That's staying on the safe side, you *could* make 4 miners per circuit work, but you want you and your family to be safe so never run more than 80% of a circuit's capacity continuously.

Now you also have to address heat and noise, have you actually been near one? They are incredibly loud, like 80DB loud. And the heat is roughly 5,000 BTU. Now figure 10 of those and you need serious heat removal in addition to all the noise they make. You might just pick up 1 and go from there.

What would you recommand for the heat removal? And yeah I currently have 2 miners running, but i wanted to install some more, the garage is big
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Electricity Questions (AMP-Breaker) on: February 18, 2018, 10:21:56 PM
I did it like this.

1 x 125A two pole circuit breaker in your 200A panel

1 x 125 Amp sub panel

7 x 20A 240V two-pole circuit breakers
Each feeds a 20A 240V duplex receptical which feed 2 x Bitmain S9

This allows me to run 14 x S9s at <100 Amps typical so never exceeding 80% of the circuit ampacity.

If you need large fans or to carry other loads, you may need to reduce the number of miners to supply from this panel.

I think this is the lowest cost, conforming, way to configure the system.

I would not break any of the NFPA rules. You would not like to cause a fire then have the insurance deny your claim.

Since you do not have experience with electrical work, you really must hire an electrical contractor to file for permit and do the installation. It is highly improbable an inexperienced person could acquire all the information needed to safely install this type system via internet chats.

Thanks a lot!

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need Advice On Something Please! on: February 15, 2018, 06:14:25 PM
Recently bought some coins from an ICO for Ethereum, so I sent the guy Eth but i sent it from an exchange, he said I shouldnt have done that, that i should of use MetaMask or Shapeshift. I asked if there was something i could do and he said '' I need your transaction link ID, I need a clickable link to make sure''. Is this legit ? Just wondering... Thank you
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / RX Vega 64 - Fan or Heatsink? on: February 02, 2018, 03:39:58 PM
Might be a dumb question but is there a difference between a graph card with heatsink or fan...? I plan on mining and im hesitating between 2.
One is Saphirre, (3 fans)
Other one is PowerColor, which is heatsink
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can We Consider Bitcoin A Currency? on: January 18, 2018, 07:24:43 PM
Hey guys, I've had a debate with someone studying in Finance, long story short, his main argument was that Bitcoin isnt considered as a currency... How do you respond to this argument? Might be a dumb question but i'm just curious to see everyones opinion on this. Thanks!
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Humidity Antminer S9 on: January 12, 2018, 10:10:47 PM
Hey guys,

I have one Antminer in my room, temp is 22 degrees (window slightly open) but todays humidity is 95%... should i close the window even if its just open a little bit..? Might be a stupid question but i just want to make sure it wont affect the miner... thanks a lot guys
17  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can't Login Antminer S9 on: January 06, 2018, 04:41:41 PM
Possibly hijacked... How are you connected to the 'net?  If you aren't behind a secure router your miner can get hijacked via the API that's left wide open with hard coded credentials. So changing username/password in the gui won't do it alone, you need to be closed to outside shenanigans.

it is secured... I just tried to login to the second miner and it worked somehow (root-root). but the first miner i still cannot login... thats weird
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Can't Login Antminer S9 on: January 05, 2018, 11:55:44 PM
Hello everyone,

When i first installed my 2x Antminers i was able to login and to set everything (pool), everything was working fine, now I recently refreshed the page (IP Adress) and it asked me to enter the Username and Password. I typed root for the username, same thing for the password, and it didnt let me login saying it was invalid. It did that on both of the miners. Theyre still working perfectly, its just that I simply cannot login... anyone know why or has any idea of what i should do? Thank you!

I see. Glad it worked for u too man. Welcome
Thank you so much!! Smiley
20  Bitcoin / Mining support / Question About Antminer S9 Electricity/Volt on: December 24, 2017, 03:43:05 PM
Hey guys, I plan on renting a place to install some Antminer S9. Its just that i need information about the voltage and electricity, i dont know much about these stuffs. What should i ask to the owner of the place before signing anything? Thank you!
