MyAntRouter@bitmain.com is a special user ID which is combined with the Btimain's user ID of original buyer who bought this router from Bitmain directly

So what does this mean for group buys?   BITMAIN?!    Huh

Does that make my user ID not valid?!
743  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: October 20, 2015, 02:20:10 AM
Has anyone been able to get the wifi to wifi bridge to work? My unit is inaccessible after this step...

Quote
at this point you will probably get kicked off the R1s IP it will display web page not available... because we just setup a new wifi and well it kind changed a few things internally.. you gotta just reboot it.

I do get kicked, on reboot it just hangs.

Considering when these started shipping, it is amazing to see so many people already coming out with guides to manipulating these little bastards! Truly a great community.
745  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: October 20, 2015, 12:43:43 AM
aarons6, thanks for the guide!  I got half way done with step 9, did a reset and now can't access the R1.

Going to do a reset and try again, not sure what I did wrong.

Just received mine, thanks again CrazyGuy. Can't wait to play with it tonight, good to see you already made progress on pool switching!
747  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] AntRouter R1 - .185 BTC - In stock! on: October 17, 2015, 08:14:53 AM
Ok, I decided to play around with one tonight. Tricking the R1 into solo mining on another pool didn't take too long. I also have a U3 plugged in and running at full speed so we'll see how long it stays up...

You'll note that the self contained chip runs under a different instance of cgminer than the U3s, both kicked off by scripts in the /etc/init.d directory. /etc/init.d/cgminer and /etc/init.d/cgminer-u3 respectively.

You can edit the cgminer script, setting the pool user, 3 pools, and comment out the user prefix added to pooluser1 to unleash your R1. Make sure to make a backup and don't blame me if you brick your device!

Great news!

Just need a confirmation... decent transaction fees too.
750  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] AntRouter R1 + US power adapter - .185 BTC on: October 15, 2015, 06:29:15 PM
Any update?   One in R1 forum said they got theirs today.

I hope groups are soon Smiley.  They should be with first day order.

Yes, I got a call from FedEx today asking what an R1 was so they could relay to customs... I told them it's a WiFi router and they said I should expect delivery tomorrow. Fingers crossed for no further delay and I'll let you guys know when they arrive.

On another note, I haven't received my batch of adapters yet. If I don't receive them by the time the R1s come in, I'll ship them at a later date for free.

Thanks for the update!

Well, if you guys want, maybe we could pool some rentals sometime.
I'm sure we could figure out a person to hold the money, if not one of us 3 maybe buzz OGNasty. He might be interested.

If you don't mind that I ask...
What are each of your strategies?

Deposit X amount of BTC and use unlimited speed until the coin is depleted?
Deposit X amount of BTC and use speed ranging from 100TH - 500TH - 1000 or more, les, etc until the coin is depleted?
Deposit X amount of BTC and use low speed say in the range of 10TH until the coin is depleted?

I believe the last post I saw someone mentioned 200 TH was used a few times?

Appreciate any information you care to share.

I'm open to that...

I have done 1BTC at a time, limited to 200 or 250 till gone, then waited 10-12 shifts and done it again several times. I have done this when the rental price is under 80, around 78-79.

Then again, I have done a few times with 20-50th rental over a longer time till coin is used. Always comes down to picking the right time to hit 5 or more blocks in the N range. But I'm open to suggestions, I'm no expert at rentals, some I win and some I loose.

The N range is so long now renting as a whole to a new payout might not fair as well as maybe an organized group push? I am willing to spend in the area of .25 for a rental. No matter I am open to options to crack one.

I'm willing to do 2btc for 500Th at .0079, that should buy about 12 hours. I think if we can add a full 1 Ph to the pool for 12 hours that should get us over this block and maybe a couple green ones after to get the avg back toward 100%

And away we go........Hope this helps!

You're balls deep..  I'm buying in with my .25 lol

Any chance on stopping people from spamming 20 orders for 5TH? Maybe an order limit? Ever since you took away the ability to see how much was really being spent on an order you are creating more problems for the buyer. From what I have seen it hasn't helped the sellers much either, which I assume was your concern when you hid that data...

Why is order amount hidden?

How much was being spent on an order was never visible to the public. How much your order spent is visible to you under order details.

Whoever is placing many same orders is also paying a lot for order creation fees. Such activity is never long lasting as the customer doing it will soon realize that he is actually spending more than earning. So far all these endeavours have ended pretty quickly.

Before the new layout you could see how much was being spent on each order and could ride the wave so to speak. Your statement on order fees says enough that fuck it, let some one create a wall, we get fees. Going on 3 days now that I have seen on westhash.

This is not only troublesome for buyers but for sellers.... wait... you get your fees no matter...

There is not much difference between one order for 1 phs and 200 orders for 5 ths, besides visual disturbance as you need to scroll down. If you call it a wall, it is a wall anyway. You can always jump on top of that wall by bidding more.

How are more orders troublesome for sellers, we have no idea... so explain us.

Again, how much was spent on each order was never visible. What was visible was remaining BTC and that value was usually misleading and not something you could rely on.

Sometimes, buyers demanded from us to reveal orders pools to the public. There are many information that could be revealed to the public, but we respect customers privacy more. Each buyer bidding on NiceHash is entitled to full privacy, for his orders details such as owner, pool and amount to stay hidden from public views.

All orders at .xxx are not equal. I've done a refill and said order drops down to the bottom of the same .xxx price range.

Have you received a notification that your bulk order has been shipped yet?

Since people are posting about CrazyGuy, way back I bought a few Block Erupter Cubes from him and everything went smoothly, one had a board die a few months after and he replaced it for free.
