I would love to see this kitten, I bet it is magnificent.

I really don't see the point that is trying to be put across with all these posts. Honestly, I don't think there is a point. [deleted troll food]

I really hope someone has the coin to drop on their own personal canvas. I wonder if someone could tat a working QR code consuming your back?

As said above, e-bay them and walk away with your $60 while you can.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / what does "relayed" exactly mean? on: January 04, 2014, 06:34:57 AM
I have been mining and running a node for a bit now but am a bit confused. From what I understand ever time a block is mined xy amount of transactions are processes based on the, I know I am not saying this right, but the block size cap if you will (x= data limit per block), and what the miner wishes to transact of that limit (y). So after those transactions are processed, they need to be verified by the network to make sure they are legit transactions and stay true to the blockchain. Now, if I didn't completely mess that up, what does relay mean? Is that the same as a verification?

I hope I am not way off here.

Thanks for reading.
1210  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [450 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: December 31, 2013, 07:43:29 AM
Hi all,

since the bitcointalk has been hacked few months ago I temporary lost the access to this forum. Now the access is recovered (thanks cosurgi!), but I'm not planning to continue with the pool support in this thread anymore, for more reasons. Mostly as newbies cannot post here, it cannot work as a full customer support; I've received many complains about this particularly. Then, it is spaghetti-style forum and it is very hard to follow the discussion.

Few days ago we started official pool support ticket system at http://support.bitcoin.cz. This support system is integrated also with support@bitcoin.cz, so writing an email to support@bitcoin.cz is the right place if you need authorized reply from one of pool admins anytime soon. Right now we're processing quite long backlog of emails there, but our target is to reply to all tickets in 24 hours. On http://support.bitcoin.cz is also knowledge base where we're filling more and more Q&A every day.

I would like to invite you also to IRC #mining.bitcoin.cz, where are many people online, ready to chat and provide basic help with all the stuff.

I'll leave this thread open for unofficial discussion, but it is out of my time possibilities to follow the discussion here :-(.

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but you should turn in a ticket and report your results back here for others to see. This is no longer any kind of support thread.

adam234912, what other miners are you running from your computer? Are you using CGMiner as a stand alone or selected in Easy Miner?

Okay, thanks. I think I will pass on the freezer idea :p
1213  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Hashing variance on restart. on: December 28, 2013, 09:22:55 PM
My jala will report different speeds depending on how it starts up it seems, is this normal? It will run for days at a solid 9.1 average but if it has to be restarted for what ever reason some times it will only run at 8.7 or so. If I unplug it, some times it takes a few times, and plug it back in it will run back in the 9's. Is this normal? CGMiner will always report accurate speeds won't it?

Thanks for reading.
1214  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining makes me sick on: December 27, 2013, 09:58:27 AM
Who are you? Jeffery Amherst?
1215  Bitcoin / Mining support / Restarts aren't necessary? on: December 27, 2013, 09:47:27 AM
I didn't think so, but one of my jala's just quit on me and required a restart (unplug for a few seconds.) The bad part is I missed out on a few shifts before I woke up. Anyway, is this a freak occurrence or what? CGMiner didn't show zombie status, it was locked up also. I was running solid for 10 days, since I last restarted messing around. What could be the problem? Soft or hard?

Temp is only 48c so it isn't heat.

Thanks for any input.

Edit:

This jala hasn't gave me to much problem, but it does run the hottest. It hashes @ 8.9-9.2 all day long. It was pushing 68c so I took the cover off and flipped the fan, now 48 is the hot point.
1216  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How does pool luck change with difficulty ? on: December 27, 2013, 08:39:58 AM
I really wasn't worried about the earnings so much when I made this post. It was the diff jump that made me think about how luck was effected in hand. While I don't have the time to read bitpop's link tonight, it is much appreciated and will be read tomorrow. It is as said before by eleuthria, but obviously hash rate has to be kept in mind.

Honestly, I expected my daily to be hit much harder. This is only my 3rd (diff change).

Thanks for the replies!
1217  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How can relay nodes be rewarded? on: December 27, 2013, 07:57:10 AM
While I know little to nothing (more on the nothing side) it would only slow down the network. There is already debate about increasing the block size due to transaction speed and volume, as I understand. Having a battle over which node handled it wouldn't help. If you are running a node, check your IP on blockchain and get a warm comfy feeling.

I'm not 100% on this, but you could check your peers also.

Code:
http://getaddr.bitnodes.io/

I have had well over 1000 peers. yay, no BTC required. You don't need to get paid for something you believe in.

I need another beer. :/
1218  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2400 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: December 27, 2013, 07:38:39 AM

You sound like a person, who if given the power to decide if the pool should get a quicker and better customer support service would decide against it.
The fact is that the pool has a very big profit margin and could afford such a thing.

I got two emails over the holidays from people who really deserved to be publicly ridiculed for how absurd their demands/requests were, and some of that frustration leaked into the post.

These is one of the many evidence of the infectious "entitlement attitude" of the Obama generation showing its ugly head. Much like those bitches who complaining (and even threaten to sue) about not getting their UPS packages before Christmas.

This post is pointless. It has nothing to do with the original post at hand and is only fueling some abstract debate that is irrelevant.
1219  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How does pool luck change with difficulty ? on: December 27, 2013, 07:14:47 AM
It made sense, then I was thrown. By technically I assume that is in a perfect world, where luck wouldn't matter to begin with? Or maybe on a time line that extends so far that it isn't really that relevant... I must say I am a bit thrown still... and just as I thought I was understanding.
