1161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 23, 2014, 10:28:46 PM
I am pretty sure the answer is no, but would it be possible to run 1 S1 (possible OC) and 1 BE Cube (on low) with a Corsair Builder 750 PSU?
1162  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: March 23, 2014, 02:25:40 AM
Looks like the filtering server (used to validate good miners from likely botnet/DDoS attacks) is...getting filtered because OVH thought it was under attack (logs show no such attack).  I've temporarily pointed the filtering server (stratum.btcguild.com) elsewhere until OVH removes it from the attack mitigation system.  This shouldn't have had any effect on active miners, it would only have affected miners establishing new connections (either due to a restart, disconnect, or being a new miner).

EDIT:  No, the pool does *not* use OVH for it's actual servers.  It uses them as an external validation server so that if the pool is under attack it acts as a first line of defense before an attack might affect legitimate miners.

Please update when I can reconnect.

Thanks!

Never mind, got connected. Just threw up a bunch of odd errors and took a while to get going.

S1 Unit Price has been lowered to 0.938 BTC  , Buy them UP!!

I plan on ordering tonight, do you have these in stock? I know there has been a backlog.  A accurate ETA for delivery would be much appreciated.

The best I have got out of mine (heh) is about 325 KH/s and that's running K8x32. I haven't toyed with it a whole lot thought. Find a scrypt pool if you want to mess around.

I would love to prove it, but with this bunch, and there adept ways at swindling your eyeballs out, posting a pic of my Feb transfer form, and a pic of my current brokerage account balance (I wired it from the brokerage, not the checking) would NOT be a good idea.

Next thing I know the power would go out to my house and boxes of dildos bought with my debit card would pile up on my front door.
Why do you need so many dildos?

Yes one or two is plenty, unless you are hosting a really big, out-of-control party.
When is the party?   Cheesy
And most importantly, WHERE IS OUR INVITE?!

Hate to post a video.... but it's damn fitting.

O.k. so since I am now on the PPLNS method, do I need to set up a Namecoin wallet ASAP? I have very little hash rate, so it could be a long while before I would even be able to sniff at planning a payout. and since ScryptGuild has brought auto-convert to BTC, will you consider making that possible between Namecoin on BTCGuild?

You don't need a Namecoin wallet to earn them, they automatically accrue regardless.  You can set the wallet to an exchange (generally BTC-e) and trade them for BTC there.  I'm not planning on any auto conversion of NMC on BTC Guild.

I hve been mining btcguild for over a month with 230gh... I had no idea there is any namecoin reward or am I reading this wrong?

Go to your Dashboard, top left is BTC earnings and the top right is NMC

Sucks I just started mining a couple days ago, went with you and now I'm looking for another pool because I just can't mine without a steady pay. Hope everything works out.

This has happened before and it always bounces back.

Anyone who has a Rapsberry Pi should try this:

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=9908.msg138204#msg138204

Works perfectly for me.

Actually even if you don't have a Raspberry, just buy one. No messing around with junk controllers, no Windows USB drivers. Plug and play.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Raspberry Pi.
Where can I buy one?
Got a link?
Thanks

Have you tried lowering the frequency?  800 might be too much for dual mining.  Also, make sure your power supply is supplying enough power.  Back before cpuminer could disable the BTC cores my power supply was not powerful enough and the same thing happened, no found shares.

I played with frequency all the way down to 600, still the same results sha256 mines fine all the way up to 900, scrypt no shares being made, psu wise it is hooked up to a 850 thermaltake PC PSU, lots of juice there

What happens if you launch cpuminer only? I was getting those same results... when I get home I will see if I can recreate it.
CPUminer only is the same as when I run both, no share being submitted

Figured out why it is working for me. I have the STM32 Virtual COM Port driver installed, not the WinUSB. So that took care of the scrypt side. To get sha256 to work, I have to be running Slush's mining proxy. I also have some cubes running of the same W7 machine. If I don't fire up the cubes first, cgminer states "No devices detected! Waiting for USB hotplug......" However, i read in a different thread today that in the cgminer batch file to change the switch hotplug=0 to hotplug=5. Just tried it and that makes it hash without needing slush's proxy running. Note that when I changed the hotplug switch my batch file for my cubes failed and I could only mine with the Gridseed, so I changed hotplug back to 0 and just run my cubes first.

That is kind of a jumbled post, I am a noob so take it as it is :p
Hope that helps.

EDIT:  (Taken from github) --hotplug <arg>     Seconds between hotplug checks (0 means never check)

I got it to dual mine last night, I was stuck in the back and forth of sha256 / scrypt as well. Before using zadig to overwrite the driver my com port was 4 then it disappears as stated above. I changed the com port to 1 it the batch file for cpuminer and it fired up, very slowly mind you. Once it started hashing scrypt I launched cgminer and it went to work also. I did drop the clock speed for both. I am only using one miner mind you. Currently I am only getting 250 KH/s and 8.77 GH/s

I am sure this is of no/little help but that is what I did messing around and it worked.

Similar problem. I can only get one or the other.

I think he is a one man show and didn't expect the amount of volume he received. He did answer my e-mails and was very polite. I will be sure to post when I receive my gear. I wouldn't look for another seller based on the posts above, he is delivering it seems.

I would like to be mr nice guy.  but  I am waiting and have been told tue or weds which would be fine.  if he took the in stock down from his advertising.  and same day from his ebay ad.     He has said they gear was not delivered fedex shorted the gear. he told me to wait.

Well while I wait he still has two ads saying he has gear.  So frankly it appears he does not have gear. Or he plays favorites to whom he ships the gear to.

Normally I don't go nuts on threads but between this delay.  the doa s-1 miner from sushi-review and the delay on 20 u-1 stick from iluvpcs I am out about 2k in stock .

I am venting  and  I guess I should not vent but I can be cranky.

If you look at me venting in the sushi review thread about my doa  s-1 I did say he sent 3 good ones.

BTC/LTC means terrible service = True

Well most of the time it seems to be true. I spend a lot of effort to make good service for BTC/LTC/asics

my ebay record is really good

http://www.ebay.com/usr/philipma1957

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=philipma1957&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2050430.m2531.l4585

I purchased from him because he had a good ebay record.   I thought he would be okay.

To be fair he offered me tues  shipping vs the  monday promised weds at the latest or a refund.

I wanted the gear and asked him to ship asap.  When I read he shipped to people today I said cool he must have got the fedex that was delayed.  So I said something nice.. A few posts back.   Then the gear did not show shipped and I got annoyed .

Fair enough, bad experience after bad experience I would be pretty damn cranky myself. I was a a bit peeved this afternoon because my power supplys coming from Kentucky arrived today. I live in California where the miners are and they still aren't here. Not only that but I paid in BTC, the price today VS Friday when I bought changed a fair amount. Then again, the price could of dropped and he could of took a loss so I try to see both ways. I also had a bad experience buying low clock cubes from a guy with very good rep. Two bad blades plus an ignored PM later and I'm SOL. Live and learn I guess.
