UPDATE: Tonight's research on Blowout Forums adds another 61 silver mini cards to my list of pulled 2018 Ginter X silver mini cards. My running total is now 162 silver mini cards that have been discovered. (So far, none are the elusive #83 Cryptocurrency.) Many more baseball forums and auction sites to search...

So...I was crunching some numbers to get a better idea of the ever-increasing odds of my sealed Ginter X case holding the magical #83 Cryptocurrency 1/1 silver mini. (I'm equally fond of the /5 red minis, TBH.) First, I searched all the current and previous eBay ads with the keywords "2018 Ginter Silver Mini" in the title. I listed a total of exactly 101 FOUND silver minis, including my own Walker Beuhler RC. Unfortunately, my search would only go back as far as August 31. That means I'm missing all previous sales for the earliest 3+ weeks, so I'm quite sure that several more silver minis have been discovered than my 101-card tally. Plus, since my search was limited to those exact words in the title only, I would have easily missed any listings with slightly different titles such as "2018 Ginter Silver 1/1" etc. Regardless, according to Blowout forums and based on the pack odds of silver minis (1:107), approximately 173 Ginter X cases were produced. The odds say there should be exactly 2 silver minis per case. (My personal experience agrees with these odds.) I'm considering buying a Worthpoint subscription in order to search for all the pre-August 31 eBay listings. I'm quite sure that the bulk of sales happened in the first few weeks, and I'm very interested in calculating the odds of my last Ginter X case holding the 1/1 silver mini. (I may eventually calculate the /5 mini red odds too, which are stated to be 1:22 packs.) I'll keep you guys posted... That is a keeper, put that in a safe and lock it away. Wait until the common mini's break the 100.00 mark. That's what I would do or invest in a brinks truck  One interesting note is that PSA does not put "glow " on the slab label. Compared to the veterans here I have a small collection but I do have some nice Ginter X minis. It is a pain but I think I will go ahead and send them to PSA for grading the consensus seems to be if I ever decide to auction on eBay that certification could double the value. Any tips on sending to PSA or just follow the instructions on their site?

Has anyone even noticed, that the remaining 5 x 7 #1-49 Topps Sets have been SOLD OUT   ...things are really thinning out around here... That last mini Brooklyn back Bomb sold for $145 delivered Wow! Things are a changing. Those are $700 sets. Folks are bullish for sure. Makes sense since there are 4 or 5 hot cards. Cryptocurrency, bullpen, monument, eclipse, etc |

The auction is now at $455. Come on folks. Let's be reasonable, two boxes fits in a medium flat-rate box. you'll be surprised how small these are. Your chances of getting a black crypto card is 10%. Lets assume you can sell the other cards for $100, you would want to pay something in the $140 range for these boxes. ($100 + $40 - black mini x card value ($400 * .10) |

I still have the #2 of 2 crypto car park display case that I will be putting up for auction in about a week. At least one of the cards will be #1/5 red mini in the group, one or two black mini's or maybe a no#.  Man. you acquired some cool cards along the way. Better stash a few away for the kids' inheritance. |
