Can someone fill me in on a few things on these cards.
1) What was original price of the hobby box cases from topps? both the ginter x and base set. 2) How many of each were produced? I've read that only 200 boxes of the ginter x. 3) Is it true that the red and silver cards are only in the ginter x boxes? If that is true then each case would have to have 4 1/5 red cards for all 300 players. That also would mean that some boxes would have to have multiple silver cards. 4) Are all the cards in ginter x box black?
I was somewhat disappointed in that in two hobby box cases, the best crypto card i found was an A&G back. Don't get me wrong it was fun going through all the cards, but the odds are not in your favor for a brooklyn back or no number. What i didn't know is that the non-x boxes have no red or silver cards at all (i think).
That being said, now i see why dolphriends says that these high-priced cards are worth it, because statistically, i would have to buy a high number of boxes to put the odds in my favor to get a serialized or low-production card.

Who was looking for a solar eclipse and bomb cyclone. selling a 3/10 if interested (20 shipped or 30 for both shipped).
Actually any player as i have a full set of 3/10. make me an offer. keeping card 83 for myself of course.
You could have used better pictures on your auctions. Yes. you card pros are meticulous. one guy is putting me through the ringer with specific pics and removal of tape. Sounds like a ebay complaint ready to happen. better to sell to a casual fan.

I bought a glow in the dark non-crypto card and was about to complain to seller that it didn't glow. I put it under a lamp but got no glow. Only after setting it in sunlight did it glow. Moral of the story, put all your mini base cards in sunlight. You may have one already. I didn't feel fuzz on the glow card like is advertised

This is a neat hobby. I'm just trying not to go overboard. May be too late though as I have a red, Brooklyn, and no number.
The red (/5) and Brooklyn (/25) cards aren't very collectible. Most serious #83 Cryptocurrency collectors will go out of their ways to avoid those two cards. However, since I'm such a nice and generous guy, I'm willing to take those off your hands at cost. Regards, Chris Very good, I have a brooklyn and was wondering who I could pawn this off on. I know I overpaid at 10,000.00 but, glad you are willing to cover the cost. For 10k, you get all my cards and half a car

I personally enjoy the hunt as much as the find. I have only seen a few items flipped but, for the most part the highly sought after rare ones have been extremely difficult to find for #83, #222, and #259. This makes the hunt even more fun and when you find one you know you have something special. Enjoy the hunt and most of all have some fun, price will take care of itself I didn't realize the 222 and 259 were valuable. I bet I have several of those laying around Can someone explain why 222 or 259 is related to 83? I get they are also non-baseball cards within the 1-300 series, but the topics are very much unrelated. I think one of the members here just finds these appealing. I bought a few cards for a local basketball player - a glow in the dark and framed autograph. This is a neat hobby. I'm just trying not to go overboard. May be too late though as I have a red, Brooklyn, and no number. Hard not to shoot for full house .

While technically it’s 1/1, I see it more as 1/4. I’ll be surprised if it goes for much more over $500-600. It’s not visually appealing to me, so I won’t be bidding. Good luck to those who do! Regards, Chris I'm out as well. Good luck

What i'm seeing is that other than the 1/1 cards, you should be able to ascertain how widely distributed a card with unknown production quantities based upon how many were sold on ebay.
I"m seeing quite a few mini blacks - at least 18. If there were just 50, you'd expect numbers similar to the Brooklyn Back card. We've seen just 3 or 4 Brooklyns, so i think there were more than 50 mini black cards.
This theory may not always hold because, at one point there were only a few gold borders which caused their price to spike to $200. Now there are some being sold for $50. FattCatt already commented on how more of these would be popping up and lo and behold they are.
Now, this pesky glow in the dark is a mystery to me. i opened up two hobby box cases and 30 value backs and i didn't find a glow in the dark of any stripe. There have been 3 on ebay which is just one more than the 1/5 red card, so unless this is a late release, the numbers should be quite low for that one.

Thanks for both your perspectives. Bottom line is the card is worth something whether it is now or later. i'll be patient. Another notable sale:
