Are we able to update that there's 1,100 X out there on intro page? Also think there's been sales over the past couple months?

Sorry if i missed it. did we confirm the 1,100 number.  That sounds about right based upon what i've seen on the various sights though.

Bitcoin is not acceptable??

Normally, yes, but my phone is broken with my 2FA, so i only have a ledger and need to buy something on idex which only takes ETH.  may change if phone is fixed soon.

A general rule in the Collectibles section is that you need to provide BTC as a payment option, if not, your sales/auctions need to be moved to the Alt-Coin sales section:

Thank you

Im being really lazy here full disclosure, is this card still valid ?  It says you can win a prize and be entered in for a chance to go to the HR derby so I’m guessing not ..thx !

Nope. time has past.  I did same thing in 2018 and waited too long.

Figured. Thx! Kinda stupid it’s not stated on the card. The original Crash the Game cards were so much cooler than these. I still have my winning reward sets from back then. Not worth much but cool cards!

It is a cool contest. i believe it was Minerjones that picked the correct game that the player on his card would hit a homerun and won a limited card for that player.  He could have gone to the homerun derby if they had pulled his number.

My saving grace from my poor results on buying and not getting a red or a yellow is that i bought one of those sets of 10 early in the game and the guy pitched in two yellows and two blue ones!  I'm not sure if the other 10 are truly random though.  Time will tell.

So, i should be able to put together two 4-card sets, but i'll never see a red one at the current prices.

Hey basketball fans.  If i wanted to get some cards on the rookie phenom Zion of the Pelicans, what card should i get? or even a case to hold on to.

What do you mean by “case”? Just go for the bigger name brands. Unless it’s a special insert, as most cards today, it’s all about personal preference as it’s not an investment or going to be worth much or even hold its value all that well.

by case i mean a sealed big box of a certain card series. for example, the trout rookie year cases go for big bucks and the Jordan rookie year go for big, big bucks.  Oh, but now i see that "box" is the terminology they seem to use.

My order of 25 was chopped down to 16 (no word on the other 9 someone said they oversold them) and unfortunately, it followed a normal distribution curve.  Sad

0 REDS
0 YELLOW
3 BLUE
3 GREEN
10 BLACK

That's unnerving waiting for my order.  Did you get an email from them stating it would be split delivered?

No email on why the full quantity wasn't sent.  I did get an email that the package was being sent though.  It took 17 days to reach me from that date.

These cards fit nicely in regular-size baseball card sleeves and toploaders by the way.

Ok. From my 20 stamps shipment i got

2 REDS (ONE even has my name initials!)
3 YELLOW
2 BLUE
6 GREEN
7 BLACK

From the 5 stamps batch I got
1 RED
2 Blacks
1 Green
1 Blue

First Day covers from post office arrived today

1 Green
4 Black.

So i am very lucky from 25 stamps received i have made 3 COMPLETE SETS !

I am not selling..so please dont bother asking.

  As per Kryptowerks calculation..

Chance for exactly 3 red stamps in a sample of 25 is .00184 or 0.184%. Meaning it happens less in 1 out of 500 times.
Similar chances for 3 *or more* red stamps in a sample of 25: 0.195%

You got insanely lucky. Cheesy

Wow! that is crazy. congrats!

Received two seperate shipments of stamps...one had the yellow attachment cardboard on all stamps and the other did not..just stamps...I wonder why?

Anyway..need to find time to see what colors i got...if any!

Good luck with that. If i had know prices would skyrocket like they have, i would have bought a few hundred.

This is almost as fun as opening baseball packs.
755  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: July 02, 2019, 04:57:54 PM
ok. that is what i thought you meant after reading it.

I fear those other red minis may never be found.  Tossed aside early in the game as being junk cards.  Hope that silver didn't meet a similar fate.  By now, i'm thinking PSA or BCG would have graded the 2018 cards, but it is pure speculation on my part.

Anyone wanting some other non-precious A&G cards, PM me.  i have 4 mini x cards.  One of them is ungraded, Mint/Near Mint.  Maybe an 8 or 8.5.  Also 2, eights and 1 seven.

Gold Border PSA 10s - 0.03
Black Border PSA 10s - 0.01
Sealed Gold Border PSA 10 pack - 0.12 - low population
Color 5x7 PSA 10s - 0.07

Hello out there in treasure land Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Had a small gathering of sportscard collectors over for the weekend and a little wine.  From what I remember , everyone felt a red mini 1/5  would have a small premium over the other four.   We all agreed the most difficult set to put together would be the four printing plates of a high demand card otherwise known as the rainbow.  There are countless roadblocks to ever completing this.  Really not all that necessary to have the red mini's graded unless there is a question of authenticity

Mostly we talked basketball cards, Michael Jordan and who was the best to ever have played the game.  We talked a little crypto and made our wish lists of which I can't find mine now lol.

All the best out there

There are still a few 1/1 treasures out there so keep looking

The Dolphin Smiley Smiley

" everyone felt a red mini 1/5  would have a small premium over the other four."

Is this to mean that the number one card of the set is more desirable in general than two through five.  If so, i thought so when i obtained the one version of a players card out of 25 - it just looks cool to see that "1" there.   Yeah. i don't believe in leprechauns and i won't believe a rainbow actually exists until i see one.  Although i'm being led to believe it exists, i'm still skeptical.

Pricing a rainbow would be too hard to comprehend and i usually think to low.

I received my huge two-stamp order today (i didn't know that shipping was free with three stamps).  i downloaded the QR-Code Scanner app and found i got a black and a green one.

The envelope looked quite water damaged, but i was lucky that the stamps were put in wax paper.  The stamps are quite rigid and heavy which adds to their appeal.  Nothing like our flimsy US postal stamps.

Once i found out how collectible they were, i ordered 25 more.  Hopefully, that order gives me a red and a yellow.  Fingers crossed.
758  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: June 28, 2019, 03:35:24 PM
Sets and box's ALL come from the same place, regarding one as lesser than the other is a lame thing to say. And apparently you don't know what a "cash" is from a "shill", but here you are spreading more crap. The 5x7's are ALL rookie cards as well, 1-10's VERY RARE, & 1-49 STILL very rare. No one need to justify a thing, time will prove that each VARIANT is valuable, and the 5x7's will surprise the shit outta EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, some day.

I tend to agree that just because a card is from the Topps Vault does not make it less desirable than a retail version.  For example, i've seen the bidding wars for Topps Vault 2018 Ohtani Rookie autos go through the roof (multiple thousands of dollars).

Even the demand for serialized sets can draw a high price.  This one card from the factory sold for $250

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-Topps-Update-5x7-Gold-Variation-281-Luke-Voit-RC-10-Rookie-YANKEES/333027063850?hash=item4d89f5b82a:g:OzIAAOSwESdcdNXF

The basic rule of economics is that if someone is willing to pay a price for something then that is the price it is worth.  There are examples all over Ebay, COMC and Becketts marketplace of factory sold items bringing in huge dollars.
759  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: June 28, 2019, 03:04:39 PM

In that the whole X product is essentially a parallel. And then within that, you have rare parallels and very rare parallels. The X Base isn't really a base. There could be a lot of Regular Base out there per the link, both first and second pages, whereby someone buys it for $1 thinking they have 'the' crypto rookie card.' Honus never had a parallel because there wasn't two sets, he just was and now is.

The X line is more rare for sure.  Not only that, those "base" cards are black where imperfections stand out, so getting a 9 or 10 is not an easy task.  Case in point, there is only one 10 out of the 20 or so graded for the mini "X".
760  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: June 28, 2019, 02:27:53 AM
Thanks for the replies guys. So then the X Black Base with up to maybe 1,500 would possibly align with the 1,100 Alpha Black Lotus Magic Cards at some point.

T206 Wagner with 200 total produced and 57 existing could possibly be X Mini which has less than 100 and who knows how many in actual existence.

Red's would be pieces of priceless art.

1/1 Silver and Printing Plates....

Is this a wild line of thinking with future pricing? And if Moore's Law is applied to the art world considering the growth pattern of crypto would we need to wait 100-200 years or 10-20? We shall see.

All printing plates are spoken for and safe..... Wink

The whereabouts of the silver is not known and a couple of the reds are not known either.

Wow. if you or someone did the impossible (collecting all 4 printing plates). That'd be the accomplishment of the century or even millennium.
