142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Address Generation Question on: October 02, 2013, 01:49:26 PM
Well...I thought I had a pretty good handle on the protocol until today.

I have an old wallet that I have been using, I move it to a new computer ect to preserve my old addresses, but I was under the assumption that new receiving address's would have their own private public pair. This doesnt seem to be the case, my old wallets still have access to coins in new locations.

What is going on? how can I keep my old addresses and generate new secure addresses
143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 28, 2013, 09:21:27 PM
(Though are even discounted ones worth anything?)

Barely. Even if you received them for free, you still need to mount them on something and their power draw isn't exactly best-in-class.

The one market I see for them is China. Cheap PCBs/parts and cheap electricity.

electricity is not cheap in china

145  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BPMC Launch BF1 USB miner - probably the fastest USB miner in the World on: September 11, 2013, 06:42:39 PM
I'd love to buy them, but with BTC at $124 at BTC2 per that's almost $100 a GH and at BTC1 per its about $50 per GH

These prices are PURE speculation and I do not know what the price is going to be.

My hope is they are cheaper (per GH) than Block Erupters. Because just in the USB hub slots that they save that, for me adds a $5 per slot value to them.  Its like a 7.5 to 1 ratio on these to Block Erupters which is really nice!!!

Great product and wish you great success!!

You guys are all neglecting the increased efficiency of the Bitfury chip vs 110nm Avalon/ASICMiner

I'd be interested in the 6 inch 450 CFM fan, but do you think it would be economical to ship it to Canada (Ontario)?

Ya its pricey... Ups ground for 35USD I think they want city/zip. I could go 95 usd total.

Just Gauging Interest, great for an air economized setup, see intel study . The fans run suprisingly quiet for the amount of air they push. Less noise than a house fan. Way less if you have them ducted.

156  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [wts] BFL 25% DISCOUNT COUPON .1 btc on: July 17, 2013, 07:54:30 PM
no offense, but you are an idiot.

First: the BFL 25% discount coupons are NOT TRANSFERRABLE. You will have to transfer your whole account.
Second: A 25% discount could easily be worth $100 000, if the person were to buy 75% more worth of equipment. You're selling it for $9.

It's your discount code... but it's not transferrable Cheesy

ah didnt see non transferable,

it has zero value to me as BFL is more expensive, less efficient, and all around skeevy compared to competitors

closed, too much hassle if not transferable
