601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mtgox's 2 Factor Authentication: Yubikeys on: July 11, 2011, 04:53:59 PM
Will the trading api still work if your account has a yubikey associated with it?
602  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 2x6950 running hot (88 C) on: July 11, 2011, 01:16:29 PM
You can install the fans off a molex rail, just cut the ends off one and splice your fans on with a wire nut, set them to blow into the gap between the cards.

What about hummidty condensing on your cards?
604  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Running without -v -w128 significant heat reduction on: July 10, 2011, 09:40:33 PM
Even at stock core clocks, I would still lower the memory to 300.
605  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How do I setup a backup pool for my miner? on: July 08, 2011, 08:19:26 PM
Im not sure how about linux, but in windows you simply run a second instance of poclobm with a lower- f param, such as one with -f30 and -f4,  it will default run mostly on the lower f pool, but upon failure it will switch concentration to the other pool
606  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cablesaurus Chassis Model A1 on: July 08, 2011, 04:21:35 PM

- Does anybody know whether the Chassis Model A1 'case' is custom build by Cablesaurus?
- If not, does anybody know where I can buy this in Europe?
- If it is, are there alternatives (open case with a place to 'hang' GPU's) available in Europe?

Make your own, stop wasting money on this sort of thing.

You need to short the pciex1 card detection pins.

609  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How do you cool 4 Cards, all bouble slot? on: July 06, 2011, 05:35:55 PM

Using two 12cm Fans, both lying right on top of the cards, blowing air into the gaps. I'm getting 56 - 74°C, all cards OC'ed from 800 to 950Mhz.

+1 just put two or three fans right on top
610  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Drum fan cooling - 12x 6990 rig. on: July 06, 2011, 02:49:02 PM
All depends on the blade design and rpms, also you need to make sure there arnt pockets of hot air, 24 is probably too small to blow on them directly
611  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Good Ati Card for mining and gaming under $200? on: July 05, 2011, 08:32:36 PM
I recently bought a 6950 for 200 off Newegg with rebate, its a 1gb model though only 350mhash, I feel more comfortable with the resale value vs other cards, 5830s will be worthless soon
612  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Capital cost. on: July 05, 2011, 07:53:28 PM
3200$ vs 4020 mhash, 12 5850s, 3 systems with risers
613  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Good Ati Card for mining and gaming under $200? on: July 05, 2011, 01:31:35 PM
HD6870 with an aftermarket cooler so you can OC it a bit

Awful suggestion, get a 6950, used 5870, 5850, or two 5770s
614  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Complete Rigs on: July 04, 2011, 11:05:52 PM
My projected return on 1300Mhs at current dificulty increases is about $400. 8^(

Sorry I got into the game too late.

Hope the difficulty either slopes or goes down.

Obv its not a sure thing, or I would keep them, you need to be bullish on price and difficulty to invest
615  Economy / Goods / Re: Google+ invites 0.2 Bitcoin on: July 03, 2011, 09:42:02 PM

616  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Complete Rigs on: July 02, 2011, 04:10:59 AM
Mhash all depends on how you Want to clock them, I get 340 per card with modest overclock you can get 400 maybe
617  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Complete Rigs on: July 01, 2011, 06:26:55 PM
So in USD

MOBO w. 4 pcie = 135
PSU anted/corsair 850w = 100
CPU amd dual core = 50
ram 2x1 ddr3 = 10
3x 5850 = 160x3 = 480

So that's 775. Without hard drive, have ssd but most ppl don't want/need.

So I guess I am high asking 45 Btc, maybe 650 and you pay shipping.
618  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Complete Rigs on: July 01, 2011, 06:07:14 PM

620  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best 6970 to Buy on: July 01, 2011, 01:28:13 PM
I don't have any 6970s, but I have a bunch of other cards XFX asus and gigabyte 5850s and 6950, XFX seem to be made the cheapest and lock the features the most. My XFX 6950s are complete crap practically no heat sink on them
