121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop 2nd Round Jul 28 on: July 23, 2017, 09:57:07 PM
I told many friends about the airdrop, but most of them were a bit annoyed about the 10 post requirement each week. I understand that you want people to see the closing line, but even with a short post that would goal would be satisfied.

any comment on this from the team?
It is normal practice.
This is just to ensure the accounts are active ones. We know there are many idle accounts there. Paying them airdrops is not in the best interests of this community.

Which coin has auto combining piles when staking features?

This is a nice coin, good distribution, watching

when the first airdrop will start?

DMD Diamond has auto combining when staking, it's pretty nice, I have been staking DMD for 2+ years and never had to combine manually, that's why I'm asking Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.0

But when I check the DMD thread, there's no mentioning about automatic staking combining. There are some talks about using coin control to combine, but this is manual combine and also DeepOnion supports also Control Control. Coin control is a common feature among the coins. Can you point out where the automatic feature mentioned?

As far as I'm aware it was implemented in wallet 2.1.0.1: https://github.com/DMDcoin/Diamond/releases

Automated coin selection for TX and minting, additional input is optimized for optimal utilisation of coin age.

Not the best description, but the folks in the BTC thread for DMD are super helpful, if you need more info just ask there Smiley

thanks for the info. Will check details.

My wallet staking today I have 10 onions in my wallet my stak was 0.00575342. onion

i staked my 10 coins and got .0049315 . should'nt i have got the same?

It depends on the time you had your mature coins. In long run  you should  acquire/stake the same amount of coins as he did.

The exact time of staking is different in the two cases, one may be 1.01 day, another maybe 1.5 day, so you can't predict how much you get just based on how much you have in the account.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⛏️[ANN] Giga Watt: Best Home for your Mining. Starts today! on: July 16, 2017, 12:33:59 AM
Yes you certainly are missing a lot considering that you can rent the tokens for 50 years and that you can even sale them at some point.
1000 tokens ($1150 currently) would generate you $367 per year income at the lower rental rate and $565 annual rental income at the higher rental rate.

this sounds all fictitious, we still need to see if there are people interested in renting. looks like the ICO won't sell all their tokens, probably 2/3 will be sold at best
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After Aug 1st and SegWit on: July 16, 2017, 12:30:37 AM
Without a HardFork the main prediction here is that the price will skyrocket. In few months Bitcoin can be pricing $4500 or even more.

But seems things won't happen so fast, we need to wait what will happen right after August 1, maybe there will be a delay of days or weeks until things come back to the normal as we see today.

$4500 wow, i like this prediction, lol, this will be magnificent, and everyone should be extremely happy.

But if a hardfork happens? I think it's ok, we get bitcoins in each blockchain...

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC goes hard fork that means ETH will be the new king? on: July 15, 2017, 08:25:21 PM
no way, bitcoin will always be the king, even after a hardfork. Remember ethereum did a hardfork itself too, does not really affect much.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pre-ICO] Unit.Fund - The Internet's Own VC fund on: July 15, 2017, 08:18:28 PM
Why there are so many stupid newbie or even "brand new" member starting new ICOs?? These high school students are eager for some quick and easy money? come on and learn guys...

Of course it is a race to be the first to get some money before fools stop sending money to anyone asking on the internet.It is funny also how many of these new ICOs want to raise fund to invest in other ICOs and startup. At least you need a bit more fantasy to scam money.Try to bring something new to the table. Wink

lol, I was laughing when I see these newbies/brand new are so eager to scam money there. well in order to do it, why not do it in a nice and disguise way, for example, spend a few bucks to buy a legendary account? this will at least give investors some confidence...

These people are so stupid that they think people will just throw money at them. Grin

What are the exact conditions I need to meet in order to get airdrops? I saw there were some discussions on the posts in forum. Dev please clarify the conditions needed
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop on: July 14, 2017, 06:19:55 PM

  • To receive airdrop, bitcointalk account must be active account, and is required to post at least 10 valid posts per week with more than 50 characters in each post. Links and quotes are not counted as post content

First of all thanks for setting up the airdrop, signing up was super easy.
Apologies if that has been answered already, but what happens if, for whatever reason, I fail to post 10 ten one week? Would that be the end of the airdrop for me? Or just for the week? Thanks for clarifying that!
We want to dominate so it takes some discipline. So if one fails one week sending 10 valid posts, s/he will forever excluded from future distributions and there is no exceptions on this.
50 characters is too little, it's not even a serious post. This post has 109 characters, lol. At least 100 characters should be required.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop on: July 14, 2017, 02:56:54 PM

What does staking exactly mean? To get coins into the wallet. The wallet has to be connected 24 h?
It means you put Stake coins for mining and you will mine according to your coin count in your wallet.

The reality of the matter is that to mine any coins your wallet must be open. On the off chance that your wallet is shut it can't be a piece of the lottery. However the PoS rewards don't consider the period of time a wallet is open.

In the event that you open your wallet for a couple of hours once per month you will get generally an indistinguishable measure of coins from somebody who is staking day in and day out. The day in and day out Wallet will get numerous more littler sums and the wallet open rarely will get less however bigger sums. The aggregate will generally be the same.

Maybe you missed it, so again:
Thank you for your explanation. One thing left. Is this mining automatically done, if i have open my wallet or do i need to do steps, which you call "Solomining" in your opening post?

staking is automatic, though you have to open your wallet in order to receive the coins. But it will accumulate to the max if you don't open the wallet. For example, if you open the wallet every 3 days, you will get paid for 3 days staking each time (you may need to leave it open for sometimes). If it is more than 30 days, you will be paid 30 days worth of staking. But you'll need to open the wallet to receive it.

solomining is different thing, it is refer to the mining by self (not with a pool), for the PoW blocks, which is 8 coins/block at this time. Due to the hash rate, if you want mining PoW blocks, better join a pool.

So if my wallet is open 24/7 I get nothing? You're saying its better to just keep the wallet closed?

if you have coins in your wallet, every 24 hrs or so you'll get some staking, you don't need to keep your wallet open all the time. Once per 24 hours ok. This is how the PoS works, like all other PoS coins.

So this is not a Free Airdrop after all. The thread title is somehow misleading.

The dev is boasting that this is a Free Aidrop but in reality it is not. Better change it to signature and avatar campaign airdrop.

Free - without charge, free of charge, for nothing, without cost or payment.

That's the catch, you need to wear their signature to get free coins.
Actually, it's a sig campaign. Paid by their coins after each period.
Anyway, it's your own prerogative to participate or not.
But the title should be changed - "Free Airdrop for those who participate in our Signature & Avatar Campaign."  Grin

I think it is a free airdrop, and this is different from the normal signature campaign, because the normal signature campaign distribute 1-5% of the coin, while this one distribute almost all coins this way. Clearly giving out coins just freely without anything does not make sense to the development of the coin. The dev has the great idea by distributing the coin and at the same time those who receive them will help to promote the coins. So a strong community can be formed and help continue developing the coin. This is genius.

For those who just want something free and then dump, I'd suggest them to find something else...

This is great point, well said! Smiley

I am participating the airdrop and will support the coin for long time I hope. Hope we have a big community.

My wallet is not synchronized Angry
If you have difficulty in SYNCing with DeepOnion network
check your firewall if blocks all the tor edges then try this
add these nodes in your DeepOnion.conf file:
Code:
addnode=jxiwwjdkyfg5pnov.onion:17570
addnode=ajkik3nr2rg2yfzn.onion:17570
addnode=nikluyytbjyofh3k.onion:17570
addnode=oixjcflkvygfiu53.onion:17570
addnode=c3fxk6jdwdkmh5j2.onion:17570
addnode=zqilsaza2dkipdgd.onion:17570
addnode=ktnxhqeoqb35inog.onion:17570
addnode=4txqulv4uxw72uvg.onion:17570
addnode=x6im6ycrlkpidmxn.onion:17570
addnode=qrmyraq4hkwixebh.onion:17570
addnode=hkgynfevf4sb2kvs.onion:17570
addnode=6g2sk3tlu72ywiu6.onion:17570
addnode=ux4o3k2ajyb4zpex.onion:17570
addnode=3o5y36p2bpgmlbeb.onion:17570
addnode=frxoq5rqw75g5vi3.onion:17570

I added a node configuration, but I can not sync Angry

make sure your firewall did not block all tor edge nodes.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeepOnion TOR Integrated, No ICO/Crowdfund, Free Airdrop on: July 13, 2017, 06:35:43 PM

I found that the total virus will find increasing number of "virus" or issues over the time with same software. This happened before for the coins like zclassic and many others, you can find the comments from their threads. To me, this does not mean much as many of the complaints coome from smaller virus detections, and major ones usually are fine.

The source code is there, if you don't feel comfortable using pre-compiled wallets, then compile it yourself, it won't be too difficult. Like when I have a doubt, I always compile myself.

http://cryptovore.com/2017/07/12/what-is-deeponion-and-how-can-i-get-them-mining-free-airdrops/

DXVowa8H3F1iMnAq8ad69ztozX2mqFF4Lk
Yes very nice article! Thank you. I will add to the OP. And will be rewarded ONIONs soon.
how can I connect my new ip. On wallet I saw this message (out of sync). İt  mean I am not online and I am not able to receive or send Onion coin. How can I fix it?

it may take a few minutes to connect, if not, use the addnodes in your conf file.

https://deeponion.org/apply.php  is not working, this msg popup Given wallet address doesn't match with the profile's.

you need to set your Onion wallet address as ur BTC address in profile

Sorry ! The members registered after 12th July 2017 will not be accepted.
Status    Declined

Im late Sad

no you are not late, those who joined BCT after july 12 will not be qualified, but you registered at     July 14, 2016, so you are fine.

Seems there's a bug in sign up script, they will fix it I think.

I'm just a Newbie in bitcointalk. Can I join the airdrop?

Possibly, depends on two factors

1) what date did you join BCT? If after July 10th or 12th, 2017 dont know what which one exactly but your okay if after those dates

2) If you have 30 activity before the first airdrop and your status is confirmed upgraded then, yes I believe you can.

If you cannot make those 2 requirements then no you cannot .

as long as you joined BCT before July 12, you are ok. If you are not yet junior member, you can register after you become junior member, there will be a total of 40 airdrops as far as I understand.

dev can you please explain if im using the wallet im also a tor entry/exit node?

Thats important for all of us to know, please state.

I don't think you are entry/exit nodes, you join tor network just like any other tor apps. You are not a relay or exit nodes unless you set up to be so.
