721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 25, 2017, 05:19:32 PM
Firstly, it is a token, not a coin or cryptocurrency. Secondly, 100% of the circulating supply is available for trade at the right price. Big players also have the ability to buy VERI OTC from Veritaseum at a premium (the last time I checked: the market price + 10%). The market will determine the price (not low life losers who steal and try to crash the price). Thirdly, there are many tokens with a circulating supply of 2,000,000 and less that have been listed by Bittrex, Polo and other larger exchanges. Fourthly, pointing out an injustice is not a "Victimize-me" view, especially when it is backed by a fighting spirit based on a solution. Why do you think Dorky posted "whatever the type of discrimination is, then fuck them"? It is because Veritaseum and centralized exchanges such as EtherDelta don't need the likes of Bittrex in order to play ball. It would have been nice to get listed just like the others got listed, but it is certainly not the end of the world. Crying foul on the back of BS ("no exchange will accept a coin that only has a free-flow of 2%") is much closer to a "Victimize-me" view!

Oh boy, why did I know that it would be mister paulmaritz again with his endless "it is a token not a cryptocurrency" which he repeats from Reggie's mouth without even understanding what it means. The fact that you state that there are other tokens with 2,000,000 supply shows that you have not the slightest idea what to compare here. Reggie holds 198,000,000 tokens in his wallet plus a percentage of the 2,000,000 tokens sold at the ICO that nobody knows.
Discussion finished, nobody who has a business to run trading tokens licks Reggie's shoes like you do - they just go by metrics. Only because you trust Reggie that he doesnt use those 198,000,000 tokens to sell 50 million and disappear doesnt mean the exchanges do the same. And I am happy they are not like you.

Now go and do what you always do as soon as someone makes you feel bad: Press the ignore button -- which unfortunately you cannot do in real life, that's why I guess you enjoy doing it here so much.

In addition, you're mistaken, when I am fed up of entertaining your BS, I will hit the ignore button, just as I choose to hit the "ignore button" offline. This is real life for me, both online and offline. I simply don't know from which planet you come when you state "which unfortunately you cannot do in real life," but I can tell you, things work differently here on planet Earth. In addition, I am glad you can sense the loyalty I have towards Reggie, the Veritaseum team in general and all the VERI supporters out there. I will never willingly side with cockroaches and worms with no balls. No go crawl back into your hole!

A 198,000 million tokens? You should go whine somewhere else if you cannot even get the facts straight!

If they are not listing Veritas out of discrimination, whatever the type of discrimination is, then fuck them.
We don't need Bittrex. Let them go fish.

Edit:
By the way, if I were in charge, I would sue that corporate partner for 100% of the damages inclusive of having them recover 100% of all the tokens stolen (they can do it by acquiring them in the open market, if they incur higher costs doing so it's their problem), return all the tokens back, and I will put the tokens back into the reserve. And I will make sure to have this legal action made public so everyone can see who the scum is.

That's the "Victimize-me" view, truth is rather, that no exchange will accept a coin that only has a free-flow of 2%. Period. Accept it.
Because Reggie (and his team) could play the price up to 20 trillions or down to 10 USD without even paying anything for it.

So you can end this exchange discussion.

Some claim that Veritaseum would have been sued if they initiated a hard fork. I beg to disagree...

In my opinion there was unauthorized access to VERI tokens that were used to manipulate the market. I am glad they didn't initiate a hard fork, because it would have complicated matters given the relatively small amount that was stolen. However, even if they did hard fork, I am sure that all legitimate owners of VERI tokens would have been duly compensated in terms of receiving the exact number of tokens than they previously owned. Good luck in taking them to court when that happens and crying about an investment loss, because you will have no foot to stand on in court. They've made it clearly time and time again that the value proposition offered by Veritaseum is not an investment, financial instrument or anything along those lines. It is merely tokens and/or license keys that can be used to access the software that they are developing.

Imagine someone steals license keys from Microsoft and dump it in the public sphere at ridiculous prices. Microsoft revoke those keys and issue new ones. Good luck at suing Microsoft because the value of your "investment" went down. The same principal applies to Veritas (VERI) and Veritaseum.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 24, 2017, 08:41:24 PM
"you guys realize the reason the price is this high is because one person own and keeps off the market 99% of all the coins.  You're getting fleeced hard."

Veritas are tokens and/or license keys that can be used to access the software that Veritaseum, the company, is developing. 51m Veritas were available for uptake during the TGE (Token Generating Event), but less than 2m were sold.

They made it clear from the beginning that Veritas not sold during the TGE would be reserved for large players such as corporations, sovereigns, etc. in over-the-counter (OTC) sales. This is to provide large players, large customers that intend to use Veritas to access the software, with the quantities they need at stable, although slightly higher prices. The last time I checked, one had to buy at least $50,000 worth of VERI in order to buy VERI directly from Veritaseum and at a 10% premium on top of the market price.

Microsoft has a right to control the majority of the license keys to their products. Why should it be different when it comes to Veritaseum?
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 24, 2017, 08:38:33 PM
The market cap of veritaseum is over than 350 million dollars but we're still forced to trade it only etherdelta Exchange thing. I can't understand why the team can't make the coin get on a real Exchange like bittrex?
Its better they build their own exchange. Build in the Veritaseum app/website, so u r ready to go if u want to use the software.

729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 24, 2017, 06:32:52 PM

Even if the address is known, is it possible to find the responsible party and retrieve the funds?  I also ask because I lost a significant sum of VERI and I know the address to which it was sent.  Maybe there is hope?  Needless to say, it's been tough watching the price skyrocket!

Hi Khylst, would you mind sharing more of the specifics about how you lost the VERI... how were you scammed into sending it to the thieves' address? I'm new to cryptos and am here to learn. If we can learn from you ... that would be awesome! Thank you Smiley

Reluctantly I'll admit I fell victim to a phishing attack, which is strange because I'm usually very careful when it comes to not clicking links in emails.  The email came in the form of a slackbot notification which linked to a phony MyEtherWallet site, so I entered my private key and less than a minute later my wallet was empty.  You should only access MEW from your bookmarks, and I know this, so I can only blame myself for being so careless.

Wait so what Reggie calls advanced Hackers, was the MEW slack phishing scam?  You're joking right?  He also claimed they thwarted 2FA.

No one is claiming that.  Either you can't read or you won't read

We must ignore them. They are only here to stir the proverbial. Just hit the ignore button.

Another tip to those who are doing their own due diligence. Look at the companies connected to the team members of Bowhead Health. They are as solid as it gets. Wink

Paul...2 questions sir..

1.  Can you currently rent out the VERI tokens now?  If so, where can I go to do this? If not, when will this be available?
2.  So the VERI tokens are only to access the machines for information...what if I don't want to access the machines?  Can I just hold and sell them and become a millionaire one day when they are valued at a very high price?

1. As far as I know, not yet. Only Reggie and his team can tell when it will be available.

2. I stand to be corrected, but you basically have three options with VERI:

                                                                   1. Use to access the machine so to speak, including the renting of tokens, peer to peer trading, etc.

                                                                   2. Redeem for research reports: http://veritas.veritaseum.com/index.php/research-center

                                                                   3. Collect the tokens. Like any other token it can go up and down in value. I personally expect the value of the tokens to increase, but nothing is set
                                                                       in stone here.

I hope the above helps. Have a great weekend!  Cool

I am sorry to say, but you don't have a clue!

Behave Roll Eyes Smiley Here's an article I wrote heavily referencing Veritaseum in November 2015 and I remain as bullish as ever, I try and see things from all angles is all, anyway I'm off out to look for some clues Cheesy
