761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Coinyeeeee Buy/Sell Thread on: January 09, 2014, 10:53:54 PM
Anyone crazy enough to use an escrow service opened by a guy who's been here two months, with no trust at all?

That's a really stupid argument. Being here for two months only means that I started to develop interest for this forum two months ago, NOT that I am not a honest person. The least one can do before judges other people is to meet them or have some personal experience with them, or with their services.

According to your logic, people who signed up half year before instead of two months are more honest than people who signed up two months ago... I hope you see the problem with this.

I think that you are better of if you are trying trading that 1.000 pounds you have. With 1000 pounds you can probably buy a system which can mine with about 1.800 Khash/sec, which is not so much (unless you are trying to target all the new coins that keeps showing up).

Problem is that probably you could make about 0.025-0.03 BTC /  day (check this calculator: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sha256HashRate=1000.00&sha256Power=1000.00&sha256PowerCost=0.1000&scryptHashRate=1800.00&scryptPower=1000.00&scryptPowerCost=0.0000&sha256Check=false&scryptCheck=true), but this is a lot of work, and a lot of trial and error process.

Just imagine for example, your hardware gets defected and then you're out of the game while the replacement arrives (and trust me when I say, in this business burning the motherboards is not very uncommon  Smiley )

764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - Launch: JANUARY 7, 2014. 7 PM PST on: January 09, 2014, 08:25:52 PM
Pretty sure I just got scammed out of 100k from NicolaUK.   Cry  I am 100% done sending first.

I have 1M coye and am waiting for an exchange or buyers who will send first.  I'm open to doing deals in small chunks, but you send first.  I take LTC and BTC.

This happened to sooooooo manyyyyyyyyyyyy people around here... If you want to be safe, use escrow. 1% fee doesn't worth the risk of loosing everything. Click on the link in my signature.

On a side note, I am running also an escrow service for currency exchange. I strongly advise everyone to exchange money only via escrow. There's a lot more to loose than the 1% fee... Check my link in the signature.

772  Economy / Services / Escrow service - simple and safe for almost any crypto currency on: January 09, 2014, 01:39:19 PM
Don't gamble with your coins: use escrow every time you are making a direct exchange with someone!

Unfortunately there are a large number of scammers on this forum, who are after your coins. They often change usernames, have multiple accounts, having the best prices for your coins no matter what coins you have, and so on...

After some negative personal experience I decided that this has to stop. Therefor I am launching this simple escrow service, so noone gets cheated anymore by some unscrupulous scammers.

For safe transactions, just follow the steps below:

1. Buyer and seller will agree on price and terms. (I have nothing to do with this step)

2. Once they agree, one of the parties has to send me the following details via PM:
- Buyer's Bitcointalk username, amount and currency the buyer pays with; receiving address
- Seller's Bitcointalk username, amount and currency the seller gives away; receiving address

An example will look like below:
          Buyer: 10Ycoins; receiving address: Hg7457dahdfh...
          Seller: 100Xcoins; receiving address Xyggg845hhg7...

3. I will contact both buyer, and seller sending them both an address where they each have to send the coins.

Disclaimer: I will not discuss at all neither with the buyer, neither with the seller the agreed price and terms and will not give advise regarding that.
For each escrow I will use different addresses for security reasons so nothing can go wrong or mixed up (or use older escrow addresses where the deal was already completed).

4. Buyer and seller has to send the coins to the specified addresses.

5. Once I received the coins from both parties, I will immediately send the coins to both parties to the receiving address they have specified.

6. (Optional): you can leave a feedback/comment about how satisfied you were with the way the transaction went.

In case one of the parties doesn't keep it's word, I will send back to the other party the coins, deducting my symbolic fee AND post other's party Bitcointalk username in this thread.

Thee fee I am taking is really really symbolic: 1% of the transaction from the seller and buyer as well, or minimum $1 or equivalent when 1% is below that.

Example: If you are selling 100 Xcoins and the buyer pays with 10Ycoins (really hope by the way that by tomorrow will not appear on the market these two new coins:)), then the buyer will receive 99Xcoins (1 is deducted), and the seller 9.9 Ycoins (0.1 deducted).

That's all. Simple and safe.

WTS 100k COYE for 0.02 BTC
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Coinyeeeee Buy/Sell Thread on: January 08, 2014, 01:42:13 PM
I would like to sell Coinyes in packages of around 100.000. I am saying around because I will transfer directly from my mining account (I can't make for some reason my wallet to synchronize).

Price is 0.012 BTC/100k. Of course if the mining account will send you 113.553 COINEY for example, then you have to send 0.012 x 1.13553 = 0.0136 BTC.
775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Look at that wall on Stamp! on: January 07, 2014, 03:37:13 PM
There'll be no collapse... They are only some people who hope that the price will go down briefly so they can buy cheap Smiley

Then they will come back saying: "well, all these up and downs inevitably will make BTC worth 1500 USD by the end of the week... Smiley
