I agree, whistle blowers have a way of being silenced, thats exactly what it seemed like was happening earlier this year when several bankers happened to "commit suicide" by jumping off buildings. I agree, the fundamentals have not changed, and also the phrase "to da moon" needs to stop. This does nothing but make bitcoin into a ponzi like scheme, which is designed to bubble. Market cap is still huge, now is NOT the time to sell

Bitcoin price is tumbling and people are running scared. Uh oh. Hasn't this happened before?
To make sense of this latest speculation fiasco, you only need to know two things:
1. People who missed the Bitcoin boom (buying BTC at $1-$10, for example) are DESPERATE to invest in TNBG (The Next Big Thing). Hence, ethereum and all the other altcoins-du-jour
2. The cryptocurrency market is NOT BIG ENOUGH to support more than one altcoin. Period. End of story. So all of these other altcoins will bubble up, then fizzle out.

I fully agree, and my opinion is that every dollar that goes into an altcoin, is a vote against BTC. I also think there is no real reason for BTC to rise largely. Whales can make loads of money just by knowing when to get in and out, no price increase necessary. |

Its interesting to note Gavin Andresen has never met "Satoshi" or spoken to him on the phone. It reminds me of exactly how Edward Snowden first contacted Glenn Greenwald without revealing his identity, and Snowden had CIA background. Also makes sense that the CIA would not worry about holding a million or so BTC, thats just a drop in the bucket for them. Really makes you think...

There is no logical explanation for this price drop, the only one i can think of is the ethereum ipo sale. In the long term this is just another good opportunity to enter the market, every little drop helps you to accumulate more and more coins.
Use the low price and buy more coins, longterm it can only go up.
I agree, a sudden unexplained drop seems to often come before a price increase. I wouldn't be surprised if the price jumps back up to the $600 range in the next few days, or possibly higher. |
