81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded GPU kernels. on: April 22, 2021, 09:49:14 PM
I can't use your suggested cores setting because energy doesn't come cheap here, so I stick with 1190/840 2090/840 with Matthews straps for eth/Monero

I tested your spminer3 and trm,(and srbminer) with the same setting on the same 6 "sisters" rx 570 itx elpida cards at the same time using 3 accounts.

TRM seem to be faster than your 488 Khs/ cards just going a little over 500....................................with SRB coming 3rd

But surprise surprise. miningpoolhub just see the opposite and paid accordingly!  gGving spminer card a 10% $$ advantage compared to the other two.
It was 24 hour, so it can't be luck. And its enough clear for me.

only weird thing? your 1 % seem to be 1 % but it comes in a weird way in one big shot

But from tomorrow, you know what I am using right ?
Unless etc keep increasing, of course...
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap Miners to Mine TRTL Coin on: April 20, 2021, 09:56:06 PM
actually.... trtl is going POS AND swapping 100.000 to 1 (probably, based on what they say on the blog)
so, it kinda make sense also because the value is 1 satoshi, and there isn't much space below...
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded GPU kernels. on: April 20, 2021, 09:30:42 PM
using your  start_miningpoolhub.bat

we have to substitute in:

-u sp.%computername%

computername

with the name we have registered at mining poolhub ?

and thats it ?

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded GPU kernels. on: April 20, 2021, 12:33:09 PM
You can mine vtc with spminer+zil with whatever you want using zilswitcher and shardpool.io

There is a 3d here in the forum

the guys at shardpool telegram chat  will help you setup it for your need but is not that difficult

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH and RVN on: April 17, 2021, 10:09:28 AM
I haven't fully understood why you say its not mining but...

please write in your bat file

after trm   algos wallet pool  etc

insrt an empty line

pause

in that way you can see what TRM  is reporting if it crash
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH and RVN on: April 17, 2021, 08:55:04 AM
Weird I have 6 mixed rigs 4/8 GB cards and it works.
Launch list-device in the same directory of trm  and figure out at what position TRM see the your 8gb ---- X---
insert
-d x -d"space"x
and it doesn't work ?

If not start TRM mining RVN with ALL the card
This works?

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: need a modded low power bios for RX580 8GB Samsung. on: April 14, 2021, 10:29:47 AM
Matthews does have a shop, I think its mining-bios.eu and he is  a good guy
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 ETH Hashrate on: April 12, 2021, 10:39:08 AM
How much power is draining at the wall to make 39 Mhs ?
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Lowering power consumption as possible on: April 09, 2021, 04:15:15 PM
Holy Cow.

If I trust whattomine: your power consumption id 370watt+ Motherboard ( to mine ethereum, because RVN ts higher)
Can we call it 500 w ?
24hour*,5 its 12 KWh/ day its 4380 Kwh / year
you have 1.2 Kw Nominal
your system at best .. will produce 1600 Kwh / year facing south in free place can be better only if you are in Denver or Colombia or at very high altitude but not that much
Go here and check by yourself.
https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/pvgis#, just pinpoint your location  the map where you are and write 1.2 in the KW peak box and hit calculate.

At the end you need to triple your actual solar PV system to have those  running 24/7/365.

In theory!

in reality When you hit calculate its show a table and a graph ( kind of gaussian distribution curve).

That  will show you that , in the summer you will produce more than enough for running the system, but not for charging the battery fully and running the system.
Then if you multiply your 1.2 Kw by 3, the yearly production will be enough BUT (the winter + part of autumn and spring) production will NOT be enough!

As a reference  my system:

When finished  I will  have 9.9 Kw  380 V installed system facing south with 11.8 ( x3) KWH  3phase BYD  battery. This give me an a base of 1.5 Kwh/24/365 that I count for the two rigs.
On top there is an electrichal  water heating pump for bath & Kitchen use
Winter heating is done by wood as I am living in a forest with difficult access.
The two rigs (1 AMD 1 NVDA) are located one in the basement (AMD, a little noisy, 6 x RX 470 ) one in the first floor Nvda (6 x 3060TI/3070 Zotac) is very quiet
There is an AVS automatic ventilation system that is spreading the heat where is needed between the floors.
The excess energy produced during the summer  is "gifted" to the government in exchange for the 65 % tax deduction....
When there is (too much) snow, I can purchase electricity from the grid at 0.27 €(33$cents)  but that make mining  not convenient.

in short ? I will sell a 1/2 of GPU and purchase some solar panels... price is around 30€ cents / watt those days so probably you can purchase 1 Kwp with one 1660Ti
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Distance between gpu on: April 09, 2021, 08:06:08 AM
Aaargh, am I  the only one that have the Gpu horizzontaly placed ?

Why you guys prefer to have them vertically hanged ?
in a Tower Pc normally the gpus lie parallel to the ground.
So, the GPU fan is spinning effortlessy. No ?
Fan is flowing air to the high ground , thats where normally where the hot air goes.

I was thinking that only the commercial frame were made like that because it will be cheaper to ship and that normal DIY frame were like mine.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded GPU kernels. on: April 08, 2021, 05:56:32 PM
To be clear: I am not using your software to mine actually.
I will stop a rig and because of that I can make a test for a short while.

Testers earn up to 30% more money while testing because of the optimized speed ?

Well, Testers are like elephant, and old hard drives, have memory.

Nobody will give me back the Rig time neither money not earned when  you released te first amd version in 8 (if I recall correctly) versions in 6 days and they were not working / bad working after a while.

So, please don't say so : Testers earn up to 30% more money while testing because of the optimized speed.

Oh, and thank you at the developer of a very good  CPU miner

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded GPU kernels. on: April 08, 2021, 02:59:56 PM
Sunday I will test  it with RTX 3070 and let you know
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Lowering power consumption as possible on: April 07, 2021, 09:19:55 AM
you have what you have.

I am running 24/7/365 day on solar/battery as well two rigs.

Regarding the I5, its just enough that  you go to advanced energy saving in windows, processor, and set the" Max level" down from 100 to 95. Windows automatically adjust the bios setting and your TDP will go down from 95 to 45w with no visible degradation. It like you purchased the Intel Low Power Core i5 4670T instead of the regular I5 4670 95W

On the memory: If windows need memory, it will create virtual memory on the SSD. By doing so, its consuming MORE power than the one needed for the memory itself.  So, removing 4 gb doesn't seem a good choice.

Last, I don't understand all the discussion about  GOLD,Platinum PSU.

My Psu isn't Platinum 90 %, its 100 %

Because are you sure you need a PSU ?
I have a small PSU for the motherboard but  I have a 12 V direct exit from my battery pack that I use to power the Gpus and the raisers.

It doesn't make sense to convert from DC To AC and then from AC to DC again.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Finally something better than ETH mining? on: April 06, 2021, 03:52:44 PM
Besided all the chit chat going on and philosofy and approach to mining that can be somewhat interesting my question is easy :

Who is renting x17 rigs and to mine which coin to make it more proftable than eth by 40 % ?
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GMiner v2.49 Ethash/KAWPOW/Equihash/CuckooCycle on: April 03, 2021, 09:19:43 PM
Its just me or using
--cache_dag on for eth +zil
and SAFE Dag 2 for safe dag generation at extreme overclock
produce a 5-/6 % Hashrate decrease on RT 30xxs family ?
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC as a mining card ?... on: April 02, 2021, 02:05:49 PM
I don't know Linux and I am not good at it , but the number above are normal number for that card  with t-rex & windows.

540 Kh/watt is my target when tuning the card with afterburner
Some card can do better but all of this series can do it at least in my 10 pcs experience.
But I would say Bravo! because I have tried Hive and retreat back to Win7 to do it.Probably because I'm not good enough but he is.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 12 gpu windows 10 issue Please help on: April 01, 2021, 07:17:23 AM
I slept on it and I have a different solution: Sell your rx590 and purchase and old rx470( or two!).
You save some money and can go back to blockchain driver
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 12 gpu windows 10 issue Please help on: March 31, 2021, 09:01:57 PM
Your time is valuable as well as 2 $/ month but I like the approach.

I don't suggest moving to any linux mining distribution.

I am suggesting that you have a fine tuned rig, just let it run and find another motherboard etc for the rx590.

If this is not viable and you have time:
change the driver and  use overdriventool to setup overclock and undervolt easily
Use TRM instead of phoenix, not so easy to setup but much stable with newer driver

Keep an eye also on the amount of virtual memory, PSU limit  and give a look at the cpu utilitation.
Because may be its not the new driver the problem

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a crypto I can mine on my laptop on: March 29, 2021, 07:46:02 PM
GPU Nvidia GeForce GT 650M is what probably you have.

Cryptonight &likes are the only thing that I will mine with it.

Turtlecoin, Haven, Zano are probably the best choices at the moment.

I don't think you will become rich with it but you will be able to pay the energy bill.

Probably Nicehash and Minerstat are the easiest choices, I will probably go with TeamRedMiner if it works, and I will setup my personal wallet for what I am going to mine and Holding and just selling enough to pay the energy bill.

but its up to you
