241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will lose it's dominance this year on: March 15, 2018, 08:25:15 AM
ERC20 tokens are a pain in the ass.  When looking for new altcoins I would rather download a new blockchain/node than add another token.  Why is this?  because I have attempted to download the enormous Ether BChain and never can complete the final 250 to 300 blocks.  (I have read & tried many fixes...but it remains a pita).

If I feel this way, there are hundreds of thousands of others with same opinion.

In looking for Ethereum competitors, I found an article from Medium: ”2018 Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) Platform” It compared the six top cryptos for business.  The comparison was unbiased and provided clear comparisons.  Ethereum has peaked.  Looks like best competitors are XLM (Stellar) or ARDR (Ardor). In my opinion, I would bet on ARDR due to zero transaction cost and has a solution for blockchain bloat (big issue for me). the article can be found here -> https://medium.com/@dennis_z/2018-blockchain-as-a-service-baas-platform-review-part-i-a5483321dfb8

I would suggest to read this article: https://icoguide.com/en/blog/what-is-erc20-and-how-does-it-affect-tokens

ETH is revolutionary

hold or not it depends on the coin, your coins have no perspective, so you should sell them or just forget Smiley
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: March 14, 2018, 01:58:50 PM
Do not think so, I think that crypto world will not develop without new perspective projects.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people think that ETH can Overcome Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2018, 01:56:06 PM
It is not realistic, but ETH is very strong, it has great future.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GDPR data protection act also in BTT? on: March 13, 2018, 08:52:59 AM
I just read an interesting article in nytimes:

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/03/06/business/economy/user-data-pay.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&referer=http://m.facebook.com/

basically it states what the world could have been if google, facebook and other massive organizations would pay us for the data they harvest from our use of their services and being sold for advertisers.

new GDPR regulation starting in may obligate all data harvesting companies (mostly in EU countries) to get a consent from their users. this is a real revolution in the data world. until these no publisher paid any attention to the user. now the user most pay his consent in order for the organizations to use it. and also the user can own the information and remove it or sell it.

so after all of these my question is in regard to BTT is if the keep any information about us and if so will they ask for our consent after May?

thoughts?

GDPR concerned every data controller, which processes personal data of EU citizens or on the territory of the EU, so it also related BTT. I think there is numerous personal data, for example IP addresses (IP is considered to be personal data by court decision).
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing still worth in Crypto? on: March 13, 2018, 08:49:13 AM
Yes it worth. Of course non of us knows exactly what will happen in the future, but it was always like that from the beginning of the bitcoin existence. So Now nothing is changed, moreover, i think now it is more popular and more desirable.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: March 12, 2018, 10:36:03 AM
It depends on your attitude, if you are trader it is better to try different coins to get profit, if you are just holding than it does not make sense.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: March 09, 2018, 11:09:30 AM
I'm developing an altcoin that is based on social sharing. What foundational technologies are going to make it the most valuable? What makes an altcoin valuable? I'm wondering if it is just how much people hear about it? Thoughts?

I think that in case of crypto value is just a trend, if trend is popular it is valuable.

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify scam ICOs on: March 07, 2018, 11:22:49 AM
Usually, a simple google search regarding the ICO, will help you find out if it's scam or not. Just google "[ICO NAME] scam" and there will be either no result or you will find out the ICO is actually scam.

Yes but sometimes, there are some ICO that are not identified as scams by google, but they are. So I think it is better to make some deep research if you are going to invest.

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin? on: March 06, 2018, 08:40:24 AM
What is the best choice regarding investing in these coins? Lately I have sold my Ethereum and now I am waiting for the right moment to buy them again, but shall I also buy Ripple and Litecoin?

Of course ETH, it is strongest altcoin.

257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: March 05, 2018, 11:10:11 AM

Anyone Suggests me!

It depends on the project, you should decide which one is better.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: March 05, 2018, 11:09:06 AM
I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

It depends on the amount of money you are going to invest, if you are investing big amount than it is better to invest in BTC and eTH, but if you have not much money, than you can try ICOs, of buy them along with coins, I suggest to buy several ICOs, the chance of success will rise.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the online Casino industry help Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2018, 11:06:56 AM
So i have a serious question about Bitcoins...

First a little bit of my self, I work in the online casino industry since 5 years ago, and last year and the beggining of this year i have find out something incredible - The new ctrypto casinos.

Last month i counted 14 new Casinos that offer their players to play with Bitcoins, and hear it becomes popular among the players. faster payouts, potential higher winnings, and more games. If the traditional casino players start to buy bitcoins, i assume that is good for the Bitcoin market?

Do you think that the online casino industry can help bitcoins to rise more among the mainstream audience? Please come with feedback.

I think it will help significantly, online casinos which are accepting bitcoin have great power.
