Wouldn't be shocked at all to see a huge red candle down on halving day.

They've been front running the halving since December in anticipation.

So is this about the time that the MSM tells the Average Joe public that the halving was a big nothing burger?

That the Spot ETFs were a big nothing burger?

That none of us should have invested more than $1000 into Bitcoin?

That Bitcoin is just a pipe dream investment scam?

Yeah, same shit, different year.  Roll Eyes  Tongue

Goodbye, Sam Bankman-Fried
Though I never knew you at all
You were a curly haired scamming cunt
While those around you had a ball

They crawled out of the woodwork
And like you, they all belong in jail
You only got 25 years behind bars
But I'm so glad that we got to see you fail

Lol, what a fkn joke.

The establishment propped this guy up, gave him oodles of cash, and gave him all the rope in the world to hang himself.

And he did. Just like they knew he would.

What better way to produce the "rug pull" future event, than to allow it to create itself?

Then when it all collapses, they can swoop in and clean it all up, all nice and tidy, and then send the signal to the normies that "It's all clear to invest now. No worries. This kind of thing won't happen again in the future."

Sure it won't.   Wink Roll Eyes   Roll Eyes

As funny as it is to see him fail, as always, I would have preferred to see the ones he donated to and clearly kept the charade going as long as no one found out, to be locked up.

Ya know what one of the biggest kickers of this whole thing is?

Quote
"Both Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, who are Stanford Law professors, were sitting in the first row of the courtroom gallery during the sentencing."

Wow, top Standford Law profs, and they couldn't advise their son on how to stay out of fucking jail by avoiding massive financial fraud.  Roll Eyes

I mean, who was the CLO on his payroll? Daffy Duck?

This whole thing reeks.

I have so much to post, i just don't know where to begin!..

Friend.. Friend... and Friend

Friend of mine said I was lucky with Bitcoin, being in early... I looked at him and said, are you serious, you think i was lucky? you think this was all luck? I had to correct him and said i was smart with my decisions, it was written in black and white (pun intended)! not lucky, but smart. You should have listened to me, but here we are... The envy in their eyes are enough to show their true colours! It's amazing what financial insecurity does to people.

I've stopped talking about Bitcoin back in 2021/22, i actually was thinking about the passion i had when discussing the potential of Bitcoin and how you should be looking to accumulate and diversify into it! Was even talking to random seller of a Lambo back in 2018! now i only converse in minor conversation. Tend to throw out lines like, yeah still got some here and there... nah wouldn't have a clue where the price will be.

Another friend, he'd bought in near the top of the cycle in 2021. I was publicly shamed by him, I'll never forget that! What happened, Apparently, I was the bad guy because I let him buy at the top! What it showed me was he wasn't mentally ready to leave the mass! Didn't understand what long term investing is!

I've given up, it no longer my job to educate YOU (i mean the people i know)...

Now that we've made a new ATH, let's all take a moment to...bash on Jim Cramer (again) about bitcoin.

Because I just love to bash on that fkn idiot.

Anyhoo, back around 2022, I distinctly remember watching a CNBC video with ol' Jimbo when Bitcoin was at the last bottom.

The interviewer asked Cramer when he thought Bitcoin would make a new ATH.

His answer? "Oh, at least another decade..if not more. Let's just say a really loooong time from now."

Fuck. That. Guy.  Roll Eyes

Just a PSA reminder to never, ever listen to the MSM talking heads wrt the Bitcoin market.

This is absolutely insane:

The Coinbase, $COIN, crash just erased $100 BILLION of market cap in #Bitcoin in 15 minutes.

Between 12:15 PM ET and 12:30 PM ET, Bitcoin fell from $64,000 to $59,000.

This was a near 9% swing in 15 minutes right as many Coinbase users began showing a $0 balance in their account.

It also happened to occur just as Bitcoin was less than 10% away from a new all time high.

Coinbase is reportedly still working on fixing the issue.

What just happened?

This afternoon I have my annual performance review.

If I don't get a good raise, owning some BTC might make me do stupid things like quitting, at current prices...

Gotta love the "modern world's" version of the performance review:

Where your manager has no fucking clue what you did all year or how hard you actually worked, and doesn't really care. So they now make you "performance review" yourself. FFS.

And whether you give yourself high marks or not, they literally could give a shit either way.

You'll get (or not get) exactly what they had already decided months back at the C-level meeting. The "performance review" just being a formality to placate the plebs.

I do not do weed anymore. but it is not a terrible drug. far safer than drinking.

All I need to know is that I've met alot of Mean Drunks but never once a Mean Pothead.

That may be true, but in my entire life I've never met a pothead who didn't also drink. At the same time.

That's why when this supposed truism comes up of "marijuana is safer than alcohol" I always chuckle to myself and think, "How would you know?"

You all know this doesn't have legs right? I don't think there's been a better sell signal in all of history for anything.

Look who’s back!

The alpaca is backa.

Edit: Some people still don't know the difference between an alpaca and a llama.

All I want to know is... can I still buy Alpaca socks with bitcoin?

Day 5 of the COPA v Wright trial. Dude is getting dog-walked hard 😂🍿

He's going to lose so badly due to the volume of lies he's spouting in testimony.

The CSW beliebers/supporters/worshippers are so fkn dumb, it's mind boggling.

I know he's already been debunked a million ways from Sunday. A complete charlatan. But here's another thing to consider.

If he actually was, in any capacity, the REAL in-the-flesh SN, do you know how many high profile, billion dollar $$$ crypto companies would be competing to put him on their payroll as Chief Scientist? Or even just on their board of directors?

And pay him bucu $$$ just for the flex of having him associated?

The fact that zero of them wants him involved in their companies speaks VOLUMES.

All the proof (other than the lack of msg signing) that anyone needs to know about him.

Americans were asked to point Iran on a world map. Cheesy
Dumb questions deserve a dumb answer.

The only correct American answer:

Q: "Do you know where Iran is on a world map?"

A: "Uh, I don't care."

OT:

With the U.S. and China now in financial ruins with running up and then crashing their economies with massive decade-long Ponzi property scams, I'm sure that TPTB are licking their lips looking for the next under developed nation they can run the same by-the-numbers nation building financial scam on. The trillions of newly printed U.S. dollars must stay abroad and not come home.

My guess is that it'll be India next. So what makes me say that?

It's perfect: a nation of 1.4 Billion people, still a bit behinds the times, still steeped in traditional living (like China was) and household savings, but with an increasingly progressive youth populous that would be easily manipulated into FOMO and hungry for new paper wealth. They used to be primarily an agricultural nation, but are moving more and more into manufacturing and IT.

Just start injecting hundreds of billions of dollars into it's economy and major cities, creating new white collar office and blue collar factory jobs, building up their cities and property markets, creating FOMO into better standards of living, lifestyle and luxury goods and services wants. Before you know it, they'll be flying high saying that they are the next "China".

The ultimate goal, of course, is to get it's citizens to stop all that nonsense saving and wealth hoarding, and get them to part with it, FOMO'ing into their stock market and newly created real estate investments.

You can see Apple and other tech companies already expanding into India very fast.

It's only a matter of time and enough money....

They're talking more and more about The Great Pivot To IndiaTM... it's in the works....money stream warming up....

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/24/us-firms-prefer-india-over-china-for-supply-chain-needs-despite-risks.html

Quote
“Companies are seeing India as a long-term investment strategy as opposed to a short-term pivot to avoid tariffs,” said Samir Kapadia, CEO of India Index and managing principal at Vongel Group, in an exclusive interview with CNBC.

Warming ties between the U.S. and India, spearheaded by President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the former’s “friendshoring” policy aimed at encouraging U.S. companies to diversify away from China have also made India an attractive alternative.

The relationship between the two countries entered a new chapter with Modi’s state visit to the White House in June where a slew of deals on large collaborations in defense, technology and supply chain diversification were signed.

Blackrock iShare Bitcoin Trust ETF has increased their position from $499M to $707M as of 16th January 2024...

Here are some key facts about three full days of trading in the books as of the close of business on Tuesday:
  • net inflows into the spot bitcoin ETF appear to be about 21,000 bitcoin (BTC), or $894 million at the current price of $42,600.
  • BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) leads the way by adding 16,362 bitcoin.
  • Second is Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with 12,112 bitcoin.
  • Sizable exits from Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), which has lost about 25,000 bitcoin, brought down the overall industry inflow.

https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2024/01/17/bitcoin-etf-net-inflows-near-1b-after-three-days/

Eh...so, like, is that all? Really?

Small potatoes.

Shit, Elon Musk bought $1.5B worth of BTC all in one go not too long ago.

Just for the Lulz.

This is just the beginning, young padawan. If buying spot ETF's stopped there, this statement would make some sense. But it is more than clear that it will not stop. If 5,000 BTC are net bought per day, this makes 500,000 BTC in 100 days, almost as much as Greyscale has. After another 100 days, the reserve of the SB will dry up. I don't know why everyone measures the reserve of exchanges in general, since all ETF's only draw from CB (with one small exception). This means that the effect of the supply shock will be very substantial, significantly greater than the halving. But skeptics who look at the price cannot do this elementary calculation. So I expect this Greyscale flop to lead to a more significant momentary dip below 40K. I hope I'm wrong because I don't have money to buy now. It's clear that Greyscale is trying to milk their customers with this high rate. IMO the majority are not selling for a profit or a smaller loss, but to buy back other ETFs at a lower rate. This will further accelerate the effect of the shock supply. So I expect within 2 months at most, the price will start to recover steadily and grow into the usual exponential bull run.

Not "young"  Wink , and I've learned something important and valuable in my long years:

"Never tell me what you are gonna do, tell me what you have done/accomplished."

So if like you say these Bitcoin ETFs are legit up to 500K btc in 3 months, or even 6 months, then color me impressed....then.

But until then, yawn.

We don't need to be worried about an AI that's going to fuck over humanity.

We have politicians that fuck over humanity every single day, like it's their job, and they actually get paid the big bucks for it.

Annnd people actually vote and re-elect these same fuckers into power every few years.
Roll Eyes

While the highlighted sentences above are true, the dangers of an advanced AI becoming sentient and taking control are unknown and should be expected to be orders of magnitude greater.

We do need to be worried about it!

We?

Does "we" include very (small elitist) group actively pursuing and making this AI shit and unleashing it on the world? Because they don't seem to care. Like at all.

Maybe take it up with them? Lol.

(Sorry, not trying to snark, but "concerned people" always seem to have the ire misplaced toward the wrong group. They always want to make it "the plebs problem")

But the lack of proudhon posts is not a good sign.

And the current 15-min chart is mental torture...

Looks like most is going into Vitalik's shitecoin.
As usual, it will flow back later.

Most people don't realize, it's the ETH market that the traders play now. Bitcoin used as a lever.
